Brilliant, Jewel. I used the 'compression' tool and it certainly hasn't solved the problem of a very poor microphone used by one of my guests, but now it is at least not painful to listen to. Thank you so much for these tips. Never would have figured this out or known to have gone to 'audio effects' for this.

I will try adjusting but my new laptop has NO USBs on it so I have to go through a docking station now and all of a sudden I am getting hiss. I was not getting it before. I have a good external MIC but wondering if there are more helps for this issue. I am so frustrated. This is for work and they give me a PC so not sure what to do except find a work around.

This is the same tip all people teach, but this dont make a greate audio, because our voice is also affect by the effect. This bug in camtasia é terrible..if I use windows voice record the sound is GREAT, and then how a hundreds dolar software we get this issue, can't understand.
