At this point I wouldn't be surprised if some other smaller series would go on to sign Jimmer because the amount of attention he is able to bring with him is insane for series of this size.
This is actually some of the best content on TH-cam. Absolutely unique being able to watch someone's transition from sim to real racing in relative real time. Also great getting to see things from Jem's perspective via the Motorsport Women channel.

What you cut off before the stuff you quoted was that he didn't wan't her to win.
Now why is that important? Well in that Championship everyone in the press and the drivers corps was going, to roughly paraphrase "Haha, you're gonna loose to a woman! Haha, how much must you suck to loose to a woman!"
That is what lead to that statement, not a good one, but one annoyed one by a man who had been hounded by the press and his peers all year.
And if you take his later statements, out of the heat of the moment into account, it was more this overblown battle of the sexes BS that he hated. He just didn't phrase it very well.
And the only thing everyone who wants to devalue his statements can bring up is this truncuated quotemined version of events.

My favorite moment, watching the stream, was Dave Goddard complimenting you, and mentioning that you are one of the prime examples of how sim racers can get legit fast in real life racing series. It was really awesome to hear! Dave is an absolute saint

Road to Le Mans with Michael Fassbender is an absolutely brilliant watch. Same trials and tribulations. Same mental battles. Jimmy is treading a similar path and it's enthralling stuff. Go Jimmer! Go on son!

I loved that commentary of the run. This really gives insight into the process and the psychology of the pass. “Making yourself known”, letting the driver ahead know you’re there… not something I see sim racers doing. As a beginning sim racer myself, it is fantastic to hear Jimmy’s commentary on what he’s doing on the track.
Jimmer, bloody hell, I’m so proud of you! Dealing with the mental things you’ve dealt with, building yourself as a nice, open-minded and entertaining influencer and now a legit racing driver… Well done, shed-dweller! 😃

That scary part is finding that fine line where the aero actually starts to work, and just enough to keep the physical grip in play, but so much to become a skim board at the beach....I couldn't do it. respect. Dude, you did great! Very entertaining to watch, and I felt like we were being taken along with you, which is a full on win any video. Glad I subbed :)

From about 18:25 to 24:30 with you fired up, taking places, doing what you do best and complimented by your legendary commentary was some of the best content of your channel to date, in my opinion. Despite the other issues you had to face of the day, that section just goes to show what you are capable of and I don't think you'll have any trouble getting another drive after this season is done, be that with BritCar, Praga or otherwise.
This BritCar season isn't just a great opportunity for you to live your dream, but literally the start of what is likely to be a fairly long and successful racing career.
Not gonna lie, from 20:00 onwards i had tears rolling down my face screaming C'mon Jimmer! Man were all so proud of you.

After that pit lane accident the entire chat of the BARC live stream (a ton of Jem and Jimmer fans) where all expressing their concern for the pit crews and were asking the commentator to let them know if everyone was ok. Which luckily was the case, we got scared their for a bit.
Yep I watched this live, that was a very scary moment! So glad everyone okay, I feel like we got lucky, could have been very ugly with all the people standing nearby!

I was literally on the edge of my seat and partly holding my breath for the whole 30 mins, and I'm not even the one driving. I can't even describe how wholesome this whole journey is!
I was watching the race stream live when that pit accident happened. Scary stuff! Glad nobody was hurt and you made it out just in time.

Watching this after watching your Championship Season and the confidence level between this video and where you are now as a racing driver is like night and day! A huge congrats and excited to see your journey continue to develop!

I think I know what happened with the SC shuffling, so bear with me as I go through it (and also explain why it may have been a blessing in disguise):
First of all, the SC didn't initially pick up the leader, the leader was 6th in the train when everyone pitted. Jem was one of the five cars ahead of the leader but effectively almost an entire lap down (and behind the Morton car, not ahead after all).
On the bright side: this let you be one of the first cars out of the pits and let you get free of the chaos. However:
A Ferrari had stayed out and was now P1 behind the SC, keeping you locked a lap down. Fortunately they pitted (and lost a BUNCH of places, really screwed them) leaving you at the head of the line, with the leader again about 5 cars back.
The SC then waved you round as lapped cars to tag onto the back, BUT the leader followed you through for whatever reason (driver or SC mistake) and was followed by the rest of the top 3.
This was eventually solved by waving the entire field through again, with you ending up at the back of the pack. Which ultimately, was correct. You were def delayed by these shenanigans, but didn't lose any positions because you were always one of the last cars on the lead lap, and being first out of the pits definitely turned out to be a bonus if you ask me!
Hope that helps clear up what happened, and the knowledge you didn't lose out makes things less frustrating. All focus can go on the great drive and result at the end of the day, after all the trials and tribulations of the two races! Great job once again!

Just watched the MW video. You guys had some rough conditions and a very close call in the pits there. At the end of the day the car was in one piece and everyone was smiling, that's a win in my books. You were flying on those clear laps in the second race, I can't wait for the next one!
Never in a million years did I expect to ever get to see Jimmer battling it out with another racing driver in a Praga, but I am so glad I was wrong.
I also love how this is such a huge pointer towards how useful sims are in building race skills, as Jimmy (who has a relatively small amount of experience in Britcar in the Praga) uses tactics from simracing to beat experienced drivers. It's just so cool to watch, and I'm so happy for Jimmy.
So happy to see you working hard and living your dream. No matter what the result is, you becoming a better driver, and nothing can take that away from you.

this was one of, if not the coolest motorsport-related videos i have ever seen. my god.. inside the car, knowing the driver's background, and at the end, what awesome driving, overtaking and even playing some mindgames, no? that is a recipe for success.. the whole development was just a rollercoaster and i never knew what would happen next. this is the recipe of a great cinematic piece! Last night I took pole in qualifying for the first time in the top split skippy race. I bottled it on the first lap. It isn't always sunshine and good cheers but we love it anyway. Watching this journey is amazing please keep this series going as long as you can it is so good to watch I am frankly astounded your team isn't forcing you to post on their own channel.
