The parts look really nice and clean. One thing I am really curious about though is a lack of a plenum. In my experience the turbo carb needs a plenum specifically because of that restriction. It's not important in EFI but the turbo carbs require it to restrict and modulate the air and ensure proper function. Maybe you aren't seeing the issues at lower boost levels but as boost goes up it becomes more and more important. Good luck with the sales and wishing you all the best from North Carolina!
@@briangrant2426 that’s great. What are your AFRs like across the rpm range? I would bet they lean towards the leaner side. But thats the factor I was wondering about. Lower boost like 6-7 range maybe it doesn’t present the issue. Though the factory ERA had a plenum and only ran 3-4psi. Either way very glad it’s working for you and you’re enjoying the car. At the end of the day that’s all that matters.
@@classicminidiy I spent two solid days profiling the needle, testing, reprofiling, retesting.....What I finally wound up with is an AFR of 12-13 while cruising; dips to 11 when accelerating rising steadily to about 13 at 5000 RPM; WOT/boost dips to 11 rising steadily with RPM to 14 at 5000 RPM. Yes, that's much higher than I want. I will probably do a little more profiling in the spring. Two things though - I am not at max boost for very long. It's not like I've got the pedal to the floor for minutes on end. Second, my timing isn't set crazy advanced. I could have more advance and more power, but at the expense of reliability. As of right now I can load four people in it, go up a hill, mash the pedal and get into boost and get MOVING with no pinging at all. I could dial in the fueling better if I went FI like you did, but I'm trying to keep costs down, plus I like the idea of the old school SU getting the job done.
The plenum is effectively a vacuum /mixture sharing chamber but with this set up it sounds as though they’ve found it to have no additional benefits. (I guess many of us have taken the requirement of a plenum for granted over the years without asking ourselves if we actually need one or not)..
This would be a really nice alternative to running a Vtec. We have a build we were going to run the Vmax cart Super Charger but I’m thinking this might be a better setup! Our ERA would have loved the extra boost! I’ll call you soon to discuss what you have
@@philtucker1224 I have the new intake pipe and actuator bracket but do not have them fitted yet. Honestly I'm having too much fun driving it with the older version to tear it all off and redo it right now. I'll wait until Autumn when I'm not driving it as much. I'm not expecting any extra power from rerouting the intake pipe...It's purely an aesthetic thing for me. The new one looks much cleaner!
Would really like to know when a "pre order' plans to be a 'shippable order. Jan 2023 or June 2023? Would be great to offer 5 kits ' ready to ship' and as you secure those orders, Ramp up your production for the additional needed., taking the Elon Musk way of demand planning.. Build the hype .. deliver someday... (CYBERTRUCK)

Cole, I’ve got the intake elbow shown here and have no problems at all. Running 7-8 pounds of boost with no intercooler. No issues.

Really like the new intake pipe and the new bracket for the wastegate actuator! Not sorry I got mine early, but those are nice!
Hey Brian have you fitted it yet and have you experienced extra power?
