Thanks for sharing this set bro! I've been looking for how to connect my ipad to my pc and you've solved that issue for me! Keep making great content!

This is really budget saving I love it. Thx for sharing!
You are welcome 🙏🏾
OMG THIS WILL CHANGE MY LIFE COMPLETELY
thank you :)
Thanks 🙏 for the tutorial ! Easy and well explained.
Thank you :)
Thank you very much to share this information, congratulations for your work!
You are welcome and thank you 🙏🏽🖐🏾
cant thnk you enough for showing me this. CHEERS!!
Thanks bro u just saved my day.
Glad I could help
Thanks so much for this tutorial! I wanted to ask, what cable are you using to connect your iPad to your computer? All the cables I'm finding on Amazon do not support video signal, I'm assuming I'll need that. If you have an Amazon affiliate link, please let me know! Thank you!
You are welcome. Here you go: amzn.to/3garQFo
@@SolomonJagwe Thanks so much Solomon!
@@SolomonJagwe hey is ipad pro also is compatible to render zbrush artworks??? With Arnold or keyshot may be??
you can use any cable with easy canvas
Hola cómo estás? Al día de hoy sigue siendo muy útil este método para ti? No te has comprado alguna tablet de Wacom or xp pen para mayor comodidad?
Is there a way to use finger shortcuts like in procreate / nomad sculpt for zoom etc?
Thanks so much for sharing.
Quick question tho, I found that my iPad can’t properly read my mask pen inputs. While every other function works fine, the mask that I painted is really light(need to paint three to four times to get around 50% opacity). I looked into my tablet pressure setting but everything looks fine tho.
hey try changing the focal shift . it might work
Hi very good short tutorial. just curious, can you share your PC specs you're using? thanks!
Thank you 🙏🏾 i7, 2 gpu 32gb ram
thanks. I have easy Canvas working. If you get Easy Cavas Pro, it works wireless too. However, I cannot figure hot to get Tablet pro working the way you ave it set up. Can you help at all?
Thank you so much buddy!!!
Hi thank you for the great video! it helps me a lot since im planning to learn zbrush. Do you prefer sculpting with desktop PC + iPad pro or just desk top PC?
I now prefer to sculpt using my iPad Pro with my desktop. I like drawing on the screen instead of the Wacom tablet.
Solomon Jagwe thank you for the reply! I appreciate it🙏
Thank you Solomon,
A. are you noticing pen pressure issues (inconsistencies) and therefore details lacking?
B. I have a MBR 16” and an iPad 7th gen. I wonder if I can do this too?
there is pressure sensitivity, but you have to make sure you are using the most recent Zbrush update. If you have an Apple pencil that is working on your iPad, it will work in this setup.
Thank you. I was able to slide zbrush over to my iPad Pro using my macs screen mirror option but it does not seem to have Apple Pencil sensitivity.
Hi Solomon. Thanks for the insight. One suggestion: You can edit and use the shortcut icons from EasyCanvas to have the "Shift" and "Alt" Buttons (and more). No need to use Tablet Pro. Or is there a benefit from using TabletPro?
EasyCanvas currently doesn't have the keyboard feature, that's why I use Tablet Pro as a companion. So until EasyCanvas adds that feature, you will need to use something like Tabletpro to add that onscreen keyboard functionality
@@SolomonJagwe please cen u help me? Im trying this setup but tablet pros keys (alt etc) just not work at the same time while im drawing with pen :( any ideas? thanks ^_^
What`s material are you using? That`s look cool!
thanks for video a lot but I have one question. Why I cant edit Tablet in preferences? Its just gray and I cant do anythink with that
So glad I came across your video! I tried Duet on my ipad to work on my Zbrush but the input lag was just too much... Thank goodness I saw this on the day of so I could make a quick refund. Responsiveness is so so so much better! Thank you so much again for the video!
thank you, I am glad to hear it was helpful
Can i use the same way with ipad 4 instead of the ipad pro version
Hi there! Thanks for the tutorial. I was just wondering how you managed to get the SHIFT, ALT and CTRL buttons to work on iPad. I installed Tablet Pro and loaded the zbrush preset but it doesn't seem to work for me.
You can use 3d connexion 3d mouse enterprise for any keys for zbrush
great work
Thank you 🙏🏾
Thanks bro! :D
you are welcome :)
nice thanks for sharing !
Thank you 🙏🏾
Great review. I wanna buy a tablet for digital art, 3D sculpting and game development and I'm not sure which tablet has the lowest latency in this workflow ( using tablet as a digitizer ), Ipad with EasyCanvas app or Tab S with SuperDisplay app!? Which one do you recommend? despite the price and buying separate Apple Pencil!
I think whatever you choose will depend on your budget.
Thanks for this video! I jave a few questions maybe you can help me with. Can you connect the workstation and Ipad thru wifi like on Astropad? Does EasyCamvas support soft like Autodesk Maya, Houdini or any other software that runs on the PC? Thanks so much
Yes and yes
So can I go for I pad Insted display tablet . If I have budget for 3D sculpting
Great!! Noob question... Can I do that on Ipad 7?
As long as your iPad can support an Apple Pencil, you will be able to do it
Hi, thank you for the video. I am using the easy canvas trial right now, it works pretty smoothly but I am experiencing a lot of blurriness when I expand. Are u also experiencing this, or is it just me?
No blurriness on my end. I am using Easy canvas pro
@@SolomonJagwe thank you for the reply! I’ll ask the support about it.
thanks for the video, is it me or does the ipad have some lagging? did you get the chance to compare how this compares to using a tablet like huion kamvas 22 plus or xpen 22 pro?
thank you :) I have not had a chance to test those 2, if you know a key person I can contact to check them out, I would appreciate that. With a cabled connection, there is less lag. New iPad Pros also perform much better.
@@SolomonJagwe I actually own an ipad pro, not the latest but the previous one, but I'm not very good at sculpting yet so I cannot really evaluate how good it is for this kind of work
I don't know anyone who owns a Kamvas but I've been watching some of the videos by TH-camr YanSculpts, who I think uses a Kamvas and also made a review of the Xp-Pen Artist.
One of the things that really makes me want to switch to a drawing tablet is the screen size, but on the other side I really like how responsible the iPad Pro screen is for drawing in general so I'm kind of hesitating what would be the best choice for someone who makes most of the work with 3d software
Does it matter what resolution my PC uses? The XP-Pen driver only works with a particular setting...
you can adjust the extended monitor settings in the Easy Canvas properties. Each monitor can have a different resolution.
Does pressure sensitivity work?
Hey is the Wacom better for this? I already have an iPad but I’m thinking of switching to a Cintiq 16”, but if this gives me equal control and detail, why switch?
Give it a try first and see if it holds up to the control you need, especially since you already have an iPad.
@@SolomonJagwe Does the Wacom have a sharper nib? I love the iPad but I wish the nib was a bit smaller and sharper sometimes, when I’m using thin brushes. I don’t know if Wacom is better in that regard. Thanks! Subbed!
is there anyway to get the right mouse click and drag (or middle mouse drage) to work on ipad? while using a connected mouse and working on some 3d software and rotating the view etc
you can map it to a keyboard shortcut, I do that with Tablet pro
@@SolomonJagwe How can I do that , for example in Lumion , there is no way to change the shortcuts of the program
Great video very informative also which ipad pro is that like the specifics and all that ?
thank you 🙏🏾 it’s the iPad Pro 2015 edition, 12.9 inches
@@SolomonJagwe thanks for the reply sorry just one more question can you use any ipad pro for this ?
@@Izaac_Artist as long as the iPad supports Apple Pencil, you should be able to use it. Newer iPads will give you better performance for sure.
So if I'm trying to save money, would you recommend I use my Ipad as my display tablet instead of say a, Kamvas 13?
I'm not gonna be working in an game/movie studio, or anything.
Just a hobbyist. Although I do Intend to do proper finished works. I may start commisions a couple of years from now, but *just for fun*, not trying to really make a living doing it or anything.
Do you believe EasyCanvas is reliable enough for that level of, seriousness. Thanks in advance😁👍🏼
Not advisable to use the ipad as a second display for a long time, you might be better off getting a second monitor if all you need is another display. If however you need to do illustrations and need to draw on a tablet, then yes, use the iPad and Pencil until you are able to afford a cintiq.
@@SolomonJagwe ok, thanks
pencil pressure sensiticty is to low, how can we calbrate it.
Thanks
you may need the new Zbrush update which supports pressure sensitivity
So @Solomon Jagwe you are using iPad Pro from a long time to do a 3D sculpting works... So what is your Opinion an experience after using this iPad Pro for 3D sculpting.. is it worth ?? what about pressure sensitivity and accuracy of pencil and tablet and software... I am planning to buy a pen display device.. so please help me out.. in my list Huion Kamvas13, iPad Pro, Zbrush tablet is there,... which one is more better and accuracy... I want to work both sculptings and concept artwork
Karthik Sandiri if I had the money I would buy a cintiq, but since I already had an iPad Pro, I decided to make the most of it. I have not had a chance of using the Huion so I can’t really say much about it in comparison to the iPad Pro. From what I have read so far about it, if you don’t already own an iPad Pro, then get the Huion Kamvas 13, since it’s much cheaper.
@@SolomonJagwe thanks for reply... yeah I will thinking about this 3 products but I am also working on some concept art and sketches... Every time if sit near this system working with pen display like huion.. it is very difficult will be get back pain problem... So if I have iPad Pro we can sit where ever we want for concept art.. and for 3D sculpt we can sit near the system.. I am thinking about this.. cost is not a matter for me.. but your using iPad Pro with some easy canvas addon.. so I want to know about that performance and pressure sensitive accuracy of line following... how you feel all this aspect with Pro and pen display like huion and Wacom.. sorry I understood your not used till pen display. Want to know Just your opinion about this...
I am working with Zbrush on my 2013 MacBook Pro with a USB to USB-C cable to my 3rd generation iPad Pro & 2nd generation Apple Pencil thanks to Astropad Studio! Works great.
Does sidecar work on your MacBook?
@@SolomonJagwe No, sidecar does not work which is actually the reason why I started searching for alternatives. Then I came across Duet Pro and tried it out but it did not work as seamlessly and responsively as Astropad Studio "out of the box." Also, the UX of the Workspace Shortcuts and Quick Keys features in Astro are top notch.
@@Adrian-Milsap Cool. Unfortunately for PC users, Astropad is currently only for Mac. Still waiting for their PC version release.
@@SolomonJagwe That will make for some awesome content. Thanks for all of your help in the sculpting community!
hi, i've been unable to load up the easy canvas site :( . might be down maybe?
It’s working on my end
Hello Solomon,
what I would like is to install zbrush on my ipad pro to work cable free. SO that I can work from anywhre. It is this possible? Thanks a lot!
unfortunately currently there is no iOS build of Zbrush, that can run natively on the iPad. But you could try a sculpting program like Nomad: th-cam.com/video/h600MwllZ2A/w-d-xo.html or Forger: th-cam.com/video/sy1O1X7myYs/w-d-xo.html
My pc is windows but the tablet is and ipad pro will it be a problem wich one will I intall mac or windows¿?
it works on both Mac and Windows. Just make sure you install the PC version on PC, and like wise for Mac.
Culd you tell me the size of your Ipad pro?
Easy Canvas work on ipad 8 generation?
how does it compare with the duet display?
it offers better responsiveness. It doesn't have the wireless capability yet like Duet has, so you have to be tethered to your desktop or laptop
can we use mouse right click option with this app with apple pencil ? I mean not through mouse , through apple pencil
You can map actions in the EasyCanvas app on the desktop and in Tablet pro
@@SolomonJagwe thanks for the reply
Now I just got this app and pen pressure doesnt work on zbrush is there any way to solve it?
which version of Zbrush are you using?
Hello.. I try to download the app on my PC and I buy it on my ipad but my computer can't run it, and my Mac can't run it either.. it's aying "This OS version is not supported. Click the button below to exit the wizard." very weird..
sorry to hear that. Make sure the one you downloaded on your MAC, is the mac version and not the PC version and vice versa. Also make sure you are using the app store to purchase the app, and not trying to run it from a browser.
i think pan rotate and zoom is weird with the apple pen and easy canvas
What about latency input?
Update to the below. it's laggy on mac os version by some reason. On widows it works almost lag free.
awful I would say, mostly because of the transferring the desktop picture to an ipad screen. So it's just almost useless for zbrush because of the lag. But I used it on my 2nd gen ipad pro 12" (with lighting port) Probably it would be faster with USB TYPE-C increased bandwidth.
ALTHOUGH there's no lag at all if you use the ipad just as tablet like Wacom Bamboo/Intuos w/o screens.
In other words you draw on the iPad but look at your monitor instead. In such mode it's even faster than Bamboo/Intuos/CIntiq which have some input lags, but not ipad.
One problem here is that the cursor does not move while you're moving the pen, so you have to watch at ipad's screen and then back to the monitor.
Also zoom and rotate does not work with ZBrush using fingers so... I would recommend to buy a simple tablet with touch support it would be more productive.
So I have everything set up but my Apple Pencil only works sometimes. It will move the mesh but not sculpt on it. Anyone know what’s up?
Are you using a wired connection or wireless?
@@SolomonJagwe Wired. The only thing it does is move the mesh. I can’t use to to hit buttons or sculpt. If I restart it it will sometimes work but it will stop working after about 5 minutes
@@terrorsquad179 that is strange indeed. I am assuming it’s fully charged, otherwise it could be that your Apple Pencil is damaged.
no respomse noreply a link faiure
Is easycanvas better than duet display?
it’s been more responsive
similar for tablet pro for mac??
ALIVE yes, especially if your laptop generation doesn’t support side car
On easy canvas how do you setup for pen pressure ?
I email to easycanvas and they answer me this .
Hello, customer. We are an Easy & Light support team.
I'm sending this email for your inquiry.
Currently the EasyCanvas program supports writing pressure and slope using the "Windows Ink" API.
Therefore, pen pressure is applied successfully only in graphics tools that support the Windows Ink API.
What we know is that the Zbrush product does not support the Windows Ink API.
In this case, pen input through EasyCanvas may not be recognized by Zbrush products.
I will try to make a better program.
Thank you.
Why you can use brush pressure? please tell me .
@@thediffershottk3373 make sure you update your Zbrush. An update was made available that supports pen pressure. docs.pixologic.com/reference-guide/brush/tablet-pressure/
can ipad handle adobe animate in easy canvas
Yes
Is this the iPad Pro 11 or 12.9? Thanks.
12.9, the 2015 version
@@SolomonJagwe Thanks!
What's is your PC build man ?
an i7 3.4Ghz
How good is it vs a wacom cintiq or xppen?
good? phahaha
@@MK-lj3jf its that bad?
@@delko000 for sculpting, it's definitely better to buy a 16" monitor, of course bigger is better. but that's just my point of view...
@@MK-lj3jf thing is its quite a budget. I was considering the xp-pen 15.6inch www.storexppen.co.uk/buy/artist-156.html as id like to draw and sculpt. But the portability of the ipad is a plus (for sketching)
Dude can this be done with blender as well?
yes it can, it just extends your windows screen... It will work with almost anything
they give 14 trial and its like around 11USD
Brainless Techie but no pressure sensitivity. Is there a way?
Yes. Check out this video th-cam.com/video/F1N9OnqHyuo/w-d-xo.html
For some reason when I connect my iPad to my Mac 🖥 it doesn’t show the image on my iPad it just has a black screen but it says the it’s connected...can anyone help please and thank u
which app are you using on your iPad pro?
on the setting preference on your MAC, you have to quit the easy canvas. It will give you a notification. I can now see my Mac screen on iPad, but I can't do anything on my iPad. Looks like it is only doing a mirroring from my MAC. Does anyone know how to solve this?
There's latency.
Nice information. Are you able to get pen pressure working with ipad in Zbrush? A light stroke and heavy stroke seem to do the same thing. Maybe Zbrush is expecting Wacom style input (Wintab) and Easy Canvas use Windows standard. But I cant find a place to change that in Zbrush www.easynlight.com/en/supporteasycanvas/?mod=list&faq=75
I was able to update to latest Zbrush to get it working support.pixologic.com/article/412-pen-pressure-sensitivity-not-working
@@bradicalmusic What settings are you using? I got it working in zBrush 2021.6.6 when I switched out the Tablet Driver API from Wintab to Stylus or WM_Event under Preferences and Tablet. However, the rest of the settings are in selectable.
Still looking free technology like easy canvas i don't want to pay any cent in this century. 😂

TH-cam is racist. Audio is lacking. You are a king.
