@@allwayzactive4599 that’s the most ridiculous comment I’ve read today 😂 ‘Real men’ lol. People who know anything about cars know to look under the car for signs of wear and tear as well under the bonnet
One point of detail. Put the V from Vw pointing towards the air valves. So all the logos are the same way pointing and you always find you airvalve quicker. The rest I want to see that thing on the streets and getting mapped for a stage 2 or something make it wild ! Love the project
28:52 watching you fit new bearings and refurbished brakes to that dirty old trailing arm had me wincing. I would have been straight at that with a wire brush at least!
Absolutely love it. I'm a sucker for an old school hot hatch for tearing up country lanes. You've kept it faithful to the VW ethos and styling, can't believe how good that looks! Well done.
Few gripes with this build: - Never washed any areas of the car where new parts where installed - Didn't attempt to paint / refinish any of the scabby parts, like ARBs, or driveshafts - Center caps not aligned with one of the spokes of the alloy - Rear coil overs were adjusted using the wrong collar. I get it's a budget build Jack, and your area of focus is on the shiny bits, but the small details help bring a build together and give a sense of cohesion that everything has been touched.
This kid is just here to make content and make money from YT, he couldn't give two 💩💩's about what his subscribers are all telling him here. My first video and my last on this sh!te chanel.
27:05. Between the Celica GT and GTS (7th gen) the drum to disc conversion is in a similar fashion. The calipers will mount the the dust shield on the knuckle. The only difference is a 5mm difference on the hub, so the conversion needs some longer bolts to reach the bearing assembly. Other than that it is plug and play.
Really liking this build, looks like a mini Golf V GTI ! Needs some GTI badging to make it legit. Gotta say, though, not a fan of the exhaust tip, i probably would've gone for something similar to the Golf standard exhaust, ie straight dual tip. But to each his own. Can't wait for the next episode !
Hi, A tip for when you reinstall a CV joint is to put a quite wide sized zip tie over the locking ring on the driveshaft so it will push in the locking ring so the CV easily comes back on :)
Jack, just a heads up on those front adjustable drop links if you haven't done it already. The correct way to set the right length and avoid preload, is to put the car down on the floor, or load the suspension as if you were, then spin the middle part of the drop link around until you feel it getting harder to spin. Then spin back the opposite direction and do the same. Finally spin it to the middle between those two points. That's when you tighten the setting nuts up. Trust me, I made the same mistake and it makes a LOT of difference when driving hard and they're set correctly
Jack, you may be some kind of genius. The Fox is definitely the perfect sleeper and all the hard work you’ve done is bound to make it drive beautifully. Top job 👏👏👏

Looks so good! The Jazz Type R was amazing and this is turning out to be more exciting than when you first revealed it! I think a nice clean in the wheel arches before fitting everything would've been good and probably revealed all the problems before! 😂
Good video mate, the reason you have trouble fitting the CV joints is because you have too much grease on both the driveshaft splines and the CV splines. If you clean up the splines with brake cleaner and apply a light coating of white grease they will slip in a million times easier.
very good project and video. i also like how you captured the custom back box building as a lot of youtubers dont or cant show. it was interesting to see the baffle/insulation go in.
