Terrific instructional video. You’ve got it all, lakes, rivers, streams, ponds, oceans, cows. All you’re missing is ice fishing. Great Channel!
Thanks Michael! You never know, might happen yet, just need a cold cold winter in Ireland 😂👌
Really enjoyed your video and the simple but informative explanation of what LRF is. Keep up the good work.
Thank you and thanks for watching ☺️👌🎣
LRF is great fun for catching sand eels as bait. South side angling is my local tackle shop and their setup has really diversified over the years, especially their sea bass lures.
Southside really have the best selection for the lrf in Ireland and really know their stuff 👌🎣
The lads in Southside angling are fantastic to deal it. i also took on LRF this year and i use isome also and its fantastic.
Really fun way of fishing, the bites are constant 👌🎣
Very interesting video,thanks Senan.
Thanks for watching bud
If you want to watch more videos on this style, search for ajing. Ajing is basically small soft plastics and small hooked jigheads to fish for what would normally be bait fish. An Aji is a type of mackerel that the Japanese eat, usually 7 or 8 inches
Those small species can be super fun on the ultra light tackle, crazy the amount of fish just under our feet in them harbours 🙌🎣
Plus one recommendation on the "Eco Pocket Kit." I brought one to take on holiday to Norway. Caught amazing little Wrasse, tiny little Pollock etc. Also caught a 2 and a half pound Pollock that felt like a 15lb Pike on the light travel rod and 4lb fluorocarbon lol. Great, useful and informative video as usual. That Gurnard was fantastic 😁
Thank you! Great little kit and takes up no space aswel! I brought he mine to Spain this year, was great craic! 👍🎣
Well done pal, a great starter video and love your enthusiasm. Tight lines👍
Thanks for watching Al ☺️🎣
Great video man 👍 literally only took up LRF myself last week to give the species hunt a go! Very new to this type of fishing so your video really helped. Kept it very simple and to the point unlike 90% of the LRF vids on youtube. Keep them coming and best of luck with the species hunt 🎣🎣🎣👍
Sound out Steve 👌👏 best of luck with your lrf fishing! It’s savage craic, I don’t get down too the sea too often but when I do the species hunt is always on 😁🐠
Also pros who are fishing for bream in Australia are usually using a rod length of leader. For me I always used 2 or 3 feet to keep the k it out of the guides but they are all using FG knots and try to get the knot to stop just because the spool
Nice work Senan 👍
Thanks bud 🎣
Great video. It would be great though if u would show what u are using as packaging is different from area to area.
Thank u
No problem I will try to show a closer look next time ☺️
I often head to Fenit, great spot usually wait for mackerel but will definitely try this. 👍 Great video
Savage fun down there, August seems to be mackerel time down there these days is that right ? ☺️ so many species about its great 🙌
@@senanstanleyfishing around the middle of August it kinda kicks off but it was slow last year. You can add Pollock to the list then aswell because you'd sometimes get a few while out for mackerel
Lovely spot to fish, would be down there every week if I lived closer 👌 loads of huge ray being caught at the moment I heard
Class vid , use a little spoon for mackerel on the ultralight trout rod , theyed give a nice fight 🎣
Trying to keep my nice ultralight trout setup away from the saltwater in the sea for the moment 😁👌 would be fun tho !
6:38 . We call it Gümüş (silver fish) in Turkey
Very cool! I think this is a Sand Smelt over here, so many different varieties of these little fish !
bros fishing w the lidl combo haha
Yes for the sort of sea lrf it’s fine to use.
@@senanstanleyfishing ik i had the same one and it was doing really niche
Good video. Any chance to catch up for some pike fishing?
Wicked, Id love to see my land based salt water fishing.
Always fun chasing those mini species 👌🙌
Do you think the tides matter much when doing lrf around harbors? I mean as long as there is water there will you get action?
Yeah when the tides out you can get down too the rockpools which holds loads of the tiny species which helps, and then when the tides in in fishing off the piers can get even more species, it’s a win win really, there’s always something willing to bite 👌
where do you buy that pocket in kit cant find it anywhere? :(
They can be hard to find everywhere gets sold out fast 😅
Any wrasse
Didn’t get any in this session 🎣
