One thing! I am aware of the creative motor - I just don't like using creative only things in my contraptions. No matter how big/stupid they would be to build in survival, I still like to know that it would be possible for someone to construct if they really wanted to.

Surprisingly not, create is an incredibly well optimised mod. Me and my friends have been able to make windmill farms of 10 or more windmills that drive common crankshafts for our factories.

I think what makes the Create mod so great is that, while it kinda doesn't fit the Vanilla+ mechanic wise, it still encourages creative thinking and problem solving. I legit looked up windmill blueprints to understand how they cogs work and make something ascetically pleasing but also functional.

Stickiness in Create is actually one directional! A chassis with slime will grab a block touching it, but if you move that block with a different method it won't take the chassis with it. Super Glue goes both ways though. This enables some incredibly interesting contraptions, including working rubix cubes!
Mumbo needs to see this. I want to see a Mumbo Jumbo rubik's cube.

5:05 - Perhaps the way to prevent mobs from being stuck on the sweeper arms is by having one sweeper arm per level, and staggering the arms on each level 90 degrees. The arms would only be above each other every 4 levels, far enough for the arm below to get out of the way of falling mobs.
14:35 - A redstone timer that activated each level's sweeper one at a time, with a delay, so that only one level was sweeping at a time. Each level would cycle their sweepers fully before the next level activated.
That was quite the spectacle, I'm sure the first farm could have been made more efficient with some minor tweaks.
Petition for Mumbo to make a Wipeout course with the create mod. I'd love to see a wind-powered sweeper in there too (but for humans this time!)

It's all fun and games until you realize you have to design a whole factory to sort and bulk wash all the ores and another factory to sort and process the result of bulk washes....

It is, just wait till he figures out many items like cart assemblers, deployers, etc and tries to do auto sustainable mining contraptions or floating auto sustainable factory islands
Create is simple in a very complicated way. Each part works in way that's consistent, and most can be intuitively combined with most other parts. It's just the actual doing complex things that's complicated.
But it is *so* satisfying to use.

The machine I'm most proud of that I've built in Create is a Pumpkin Pie Generator. Once flipped on- it automatically makes pumpkin pie with no further player input required.

Fun tip for the fan farm at the end, rather than gears you can stretch a single belt over multiple shafts, this also allows you to have the fans be on the same level rather than staggered.

I have already tried the Cratemod, you can also build wool on the Windmill Bearings. In addition, it does not matter how the wool is placed, it only has to be placed on the bearing.

It is possible to build an auto mining vehicle, ejecting its mined resources into a transport train and deliver it to an processing unit, where it auto crafts more rails to auto expand the rails of the trains

Even he admits he's not a technical redstoner, like he doesn't make computers or anything like that in redstone; the level of technical complexity feels about the same here as in his redstone builds
But in terms of, like, the limits of what the game will actually be able to handle (rather than the technical limits of what can be implemented), he's literally pushing those to the point he had to change his configuration file to make them even higher :P

Instead of a clunky and expensive sequenced gearshift, you could use a regular gearshift in the gantry based design. Put a Redstone contact at each end, and have them control a latch that reverses the gearshift.

I really love that Create Mod. It doesn't add anything extreme like electricity or tanks and simply enhances vanilla gameplay while also removing limitations vanilla has, like push limit, things that if pushes get destroyed and immovable platforms and also huge space requirements for contraptions without the use of built- in latches, red stone links etc. It's the only mod that use (besides optifine, jei) and the only mod project I have ever donated. I am so glad Mumbo showed me this mod.

Idea: You have a stationary wall with a rotating platform underneath and 1/4 of the platform is empty. So the mobs would be rotating with the floor and then would hit the wall and when the empty part comes they fall.
Hope this makes sense.
It does, but mobs don’t spawn on moving contraptions. Only on stopped ones.
