- Minecraft worlds are made of chunks, chunks are 16x16 areas of blocks. I thought it would be cool to try and create an entire base that fits within that area.

Bubble elevators are a lot bigger than ladders, and space is the limiting factor in this build. I get your point though
They're kinda laggy with all the farms running I think.
Ladders fit in more with the wooden style the base has taken.
Water can damage the redstone
it has 3 floors, bubble elevator design for only 2 floors
You've left more than half the chunk unused by limiting yourself to mostly underground. Surely you could put an XP farm, fishing spot, and enchanting set up if you just built up.
It wouldnt look good though
@@Benni259 He literally has a wood farm and a cobblestone farm crowding up behind that shed he built as his house. It's gonna be ugly no matter what, but he could definitely improve the efficiency of that single chunk if he built upward as well.

repeaters just send out a signal when they get a signal. They're useful because it makes that signal strong again even if it was weak and also the repeaters add a delay if you need to space out signals in time

Back when I used to play LAN survival with my sister on PS3, we once built a house that was a 3x3 interior skyscraper. The only exceptions to the size were the farm balcony, and the underground nether portal room. The rooms stretched up above the clouds (we designated the room with clouds going through it as the "guest bedroom"). This was actually the world in which we first legitimately killed the ender dragon!

1 chunk bases, oh i so love doing that... especially... especially... with tech mods. Big reactors, steam turbines, wind farms, laser drills, ME systems, Transport tubes/elevators. as much stuff as i can make, divided into floors, spanding from bedrock all the way up to 253 (so i can place the wind farm up there). its also nice because i never have to worry about parts of my base unloading on me and power/transport/fluid/me cables becoming "unlinked."

So you actually have a decent amount of space to work with, also building in a chunk means you won't get chunk border related glitches.

The concept of a bunker is a "house" that doesn't require going outside for resources, having only a furnace and a craftingtable you will need to go outside to survive. Going outside will make your bunker not a bunker
