Meeting Justin Rhodes and Touring Primal Pastures!

- We made a 4 hour road trip down to San Diego(ish) to meet Justin Rhodes and his family, tour the Primal Pastures farm, eat delicious pasture raised chicken, and had a wonderful time! It was a great day, albeit a little hot. It was a nice break from house renovations and really made us wish we were ready to hit the road NOW on our Big Adventure!

Looking back now did you ever imagine that you would become so close to the Rhodes family and form such amazing friendships with them and other TH-cams you met along the way to your Homestead.

You know, the ONE time we forgot to pray before we hit the road was our trip to Oregon.... And we all know how that went with the truck transmission blowing up. :/ We do like to pray before each trip we take!

You folks have the best road trips!!! I seriously love going along with you! Mother Earth! Primal Pastures! I am jealous!! I had to laugh go into LA for food?! That bit of traffic already had me cringing! My hubby is from Fresno and he laughs at me when we travel down to Philadelphia once or twice a year as I am over the traffic before I even get in it! I don't drive lot I make him! I am totally more of a country road driver. I get waaaay to aggressive!
You didn't see my white knuckles the whole time through traffic lol! I hate LA traffic, it stresses me out too much!! But those sandwiches are totally worth it haha!
Amen on the livestock guardian dogs... they are awesome! Look liked you guys had an awesome time. So jealous.

Nice work Meg! Glad yall had fun. I did not get a chance to go see Justin when they were here in Virginia. I am sure they are stoked to be heading back east soon. Primal Pastures seemed like a cool place. Make sure to include Virginia in your travel plans for your trip. You are more than welcome to park at our place for a while.

I really enjoyed this video. I learned about your channel through "Bobblehead Homestead" ... learned about Bobblehead through "Out In The Country" channel .... and learned about them through Juston Rhodes. lol
About the chicken tractors, I really love Justin Rhodes's version, and also "TexasPrepper2" has a great model using cattle panels. :)

My son and I are in this vlog! We were in your tour group at Primal Pastures. Wasn't that an awesome day (aside from the heat)? We only had to travel from Riverside, so just a short trip for us.

Hey, saw one of your earlier blogs and said you were looking for a place to homestead,We live in Colorado,not a good place to homestead we have been looking for a few years to do a small (5 to 15 acre ) off grid homestead to many regs can’t collect water in many counties. So we have been looking in New Mexico much more green friendly and much cheaper. Really enjoyed your Volga thanks Tom and Becky

I was born in memorial hospital and raised there ('till I was 28)! My Grampa had land on the corner of Renfro rd. and Johnson out in Rosedale. It's all new houses (His house is still there N/W corner) now but when I was a youngster he owned that whole corner. I still have a mess of family out ther! Chester Circle (Baker Circle) Man it brings back memories LOL Met my now wife in Fresno 1990 and moved her to Bakersfield (sorry Pea lol) anyways so you might say that I have seen Bakersfield ;)
