Before Christmas I had to choose between a G3 and a Z Ultra, got the Z Ultra, 2 weeks later broke it, then bought another Z Ultra but last year at around Christmas the G3 was 370 euros for the 16gb ver and 420 for the 32gb ver. Even now I look at the G3 and damn, that s such a great phone. Had previously the 4x HD then G One and G2, all really nice devices
Actually, I dropped my G3 in water a few days ago, and I asked LG on Facebook to get any advice. They simply didn't respond, unlike HTC that's dealing with every comment on their page. So, Jeff, I really appreciate your review. One last thing, Lucky those who are getting those cases. I'm in Algeria, and I'll follow your videos from now on.
I'm looking forward to the full review! If possible please try and compare the 4k and 1080p rear video quality of the G4 vs. the S6. I'm really curious to see if the retail G4 video looks less choppy then the preview units.
Good video, thanks for posting. Also, according to Tmobile reps on their Facebook page, you should be able to get both bonus offers. I am currently waiting for my LG G4 and can't wait to replace my Note 3 with it. The camera alone should be worth the upgrade.
Awesome... can't wait to use it. Yeah, one of the reason's that sold me was all the goodies... I figured that it was enough to make me switch from my Note 3 which I also recently bought a spare battery and charger for. This makes up for my loses haha. :)

Andre Chavez after one day I really love the phone. Whether it is worth upgrading from the G3 really depends on how much you use your smartphone camera. To me it is worth it because the G4 camera is quite a bit better. The f 1.8 sensor really lets in a lot of light and I've been able to get some great pics. I also really like the leather back, and the subtle curve is nice too. I really think it comes down to the camera, if you use it a lot its worth the upgrade for sure!

Hmm, the G4 comes w/ some really nice extra perks now that were not in that unboxing. It comes w/ the original diamond back, even if you get the leather model. The leather model is gorgeous, but I still like the idea of the extra back for some odd reason, even though I'd only use it if I somehow wreaked the leather one (perish the thought). The great perk is a set of pretty decent quality headphones. Can anyone tell me how the heck that quick charger works. I don't see any standard outlet prongs on anything, so what do you even plug that wonky looking thing into?

I used mine without a case for most of the two months, aside from 2-3 weeks using the quick circle case. It really depends on how much you rough-house your phone. I've seen leather backs with much worse wear than mine, mine looks brand new still. In terms of dirt, you can get standard leather cleaner and wipe it down once a week, it won't get dirty if you do that. Feel free to ask any other questions!

I know the inclusion of Quadbeat 3 headphones is selective, but come on. I might return my G4 if it doesn't arrive with the headphones.

I'm lucky enough to have the money to review whatever I want without getting a bunch of free stuff, but more review units are a great thing for the tech community.

I do however understand the want to see the retail unboxing though, I'm glad I could provide that and I hope you enjoyed the video. Unfortunately most cases are difficult to apply and remove with the leather back. You can apply them but they sometimes pull the back off when you remove the case. You can see an example of this in my video on the Thor case from Verus. I recommend the ceramic back if you like to switch cases a lot.

+vallon prince - check the baud rate on the serial IO (under settings -> other). Then reboot three times (always three). If that doesn't work then you'll need what is called Google because answers to questions on TH-cam are sometimes wrong.
