Missing bits is the proof where hoom and the paint work is incredible and the miniature is absolutely awesome Jon
Haha I thought they were just spare bits, Im so glad I didnt bin them lol 🙂
@@MiniatureHobbyist That would have been a oops sort of moment haha
Great looking mini!!! Always look forward to seeing your videos.
Looks great and I’m glad you enjoyed it. Especially as 12 months ago you didn’t enjoy painting
For the clear pieces I’ve used the contrast as well but I only put on a bit then dry brushed that bit across the whole clear piece to give it more translucency . Gotta be quick so it doesn’t dry up and build up a texture though. I saw someone do it on a gelatinous cube once. It’s pretty sweet
Great job, always happy to see you progress and go out of your comfort zone a bit. The best way to utilize a zenithal prime is to water down your paints enough so the basecoat shows through a bit, at least on the first couple of layers. That way, the zenithal still has an effect later down the road!
Awesome mini! Wouldn't mind having a go at him myself.
He does have a lot of detail in him 🙂
Even though you had a bit of a slip-up the demon still came out looking great.
I think you might like painting with inks and contrast combined. both slightly stain, and show the zenithal highlights amazingly. 😀 always awesome to see you enjoying painting cheers.
Great lookin demon man! Really feels like he should be leading a khornate rampage lol
Great job!
Cheers bud 🙂
Cool stuff for today's video
Cheers buddy 🙂
You can also use contrast paints as washes
Yeah they go well over other colours 🙂
Great Video thanks. I'm moving on from Airfix type models and looking to start a minature collection of Warhammer. Not to game but to collect & Paint. Can you suggest a package for me please, a starting point. (I also have an airbrush) Cheers Tony
Man he turned out really nice. The contrast paints on the clear plastic work fantastically. That would be a great mini for Reign In Hell as either a Demon Lord or a Devout. Quick question... since you enjoy contrast paints so much and have a lot of practice with them... what would be your opinion on using contrasts on translucent, COLORED, plastics? Like a light red, orange, yellow, or green... like a spell effect or ghost for example (Reaper Miniatures has a few minis cast in translucent colored plastics). If anyone else has an opinion on the matter that's good as well.
Which colors did you use for the base?
This set or the army painter complete set with 50 colours?
It looks amazing, have you ever consider painting a dragon? And making its wings looking like a constellation or something like that?
Mistakes are what make us hoomin
Nice work. How did you find the vayeho paints?
Well Im very hoomin then as I keep making them lol, yup paints are good, nice thick consistency and watered down well 🙂
Another great video, no slap chop......sacrelidge. See if WizKids can send you models to make a DnD themed chess team.
Cheers, yeah a D&D chess set would be awesome, I may have to ask them 🙂
@@MiniatureHobbyist I loved the chess set, and am looking at building my own in the future. Any advice not in the videos to help make it? I also have to build the parts as I can't print them.
@@MiniatureHobbyist if you haven't heard of it, look up "Dragonchess", which was chess variant using 3 chessborads stacked on top of eachother created by dnds creator Gary Gygax
I have had issues with the drider mini of the range, I wonder if this was easier to assemble due it to be bigger
Some of the figures do seem to have small gaps that Ive used green stuff to fill but this one wasnt too bad 🙂
@@MiniatureHobbyist The drider one is the only one I own atm, its legs were nightmare to assemble
I have theses and believe they are army painter
