  • In this 15 minute warm-up painting video, I take a look at a discarded warm-up painting with a fresh perspective and give it a second chance. I show you a different way to look at stalled paintings. These acrylic painting practice exercises go fast like this in order to play, think less when your creating, generate ideas for larger paintings, and experiment.
    Keep painting and live loud!

    You have some of the greatest 15 mins warm ups I have seen!!! Love how you looked at all aspects of the painting then focused on what you thought you wanted to build the strongest on. And BAM 💥 you made an awesome painting even stronger 👏 ❤ I loved all 4 corners so it would have been hard for me to chose. Love your ending piece - thank you for the lesson

      Thanks Kelly, I do a lot of them! Looking at the four corners is such a fun way not only to analyze a painting, but also to come up with ideas for future pieces. Thank you so much for all of your positive comments! They inspire me to make more videos.😊

    Hello Chris, I often am working on a painting while watching and listening to you talk about your painting. Thanks for keeping me company while alone in my studio. As for the "fineliner" has anyone mentioned adding Airbrush Medium/ high-low Medium to the mix. That's what I picked up from Dina Wakley, back in the day. I think it's a 60/40 or 50/50 mix depending on how soggy you want your lines. I hope that helps. Again thanks for the inspiration 🖌🙏🏾 ✌🏾

    • @chrisloudart
      @chrisloudart  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, Thomas! I have not heard of using Airbrush medium before, but I have 3 empty applicators right now that I was going to fill, so I'll pick some up and give it a try. Thanks for the tip and thanks for watching!

    I love how the painting turned out, there’s much more depth here as well after such a short time! I think it’s great that you don’t confine yourself to one particular type of style also. Keep up the great work!👍🏻

      @@chrisloudart I totally get that Chris, I feel the same! I don't want to be tied down to one particular style, growth comes from trying out so many different things. As Michelangelo said at the age of 87 "I am still learning"

    Really love this one! Birds have been showing up for me lately and and I see a gorgeous one in this piece.
    I enjoy the fine tip applicators. I only use them with high flow paints or high flow medium mixes. I tend to do asemic writing with them so I never worry about drips or skipped lines. I think it looks great in this piece! I like the contrast of the hard edges with the softer parts of the “wings”.
