One thing I really like about these videos is the explanation about what and why something is being done. It will be a great building when finished.
Really sets him apart from other TH-camrs, great explanations and letting us know the thought process behind everything
My grandfather was working in Boston in a tall building. His buddy fell from the 6th floor and landed on a pile of sand. Got up, shook his head a bit and climbed back up. I am so glad to see safety harnesses. This was long before safety rules.
6 stories you say sounds like a tall story, landing on sand same as concrete at that height, even water would cripple you. Nice story but reality says not.
Hi Pete, I know that it sounds like a 'tall story', so I looked on the web. Typed in man falls 6 stories. A lot of people have fallen that far and farther and lived.
My grandfather was born in 1897. He served in WW1 as a propeller carver at Great Lakes. He was disappointed that he was not called up. He was an honorable and respected man. I suppose I could comb the Boston newspapers and see if it was reported, but I rather doubt that would have caught the attention of a news reporter. The man might have been docked some wages for fooling around on the job.
Bet you lick boots too...
I had a friend fall 5 stories climbed back up and went to work and one that fall 8 " and died on the spot . Just depends on how you land.🍻
Very poorly rigged harness system, wouldn't meet the standards where I am
If anyone deserves a nice shop it is you, very happy for you.
He EARNED that shop! And he deserves it too!
Nice job jesse.,..
"I think I'm going to wear this my whole life" - Brilliant!
In case I haven't said it before, I'll say it now - The extra effort you put into video production with thoughtful camera placement as well as post production/editing so as to deliver an entertaining video experience for your growing audience, is very much appreciated. Just the availability of the high resolution drone for the home video creator, really moved it all to a Hollywood level product (minus the perverted culture of weirdos of course), yeah it's really great! Good progress on the building too!👍
Nobody deserves a shop more than Jesse. Very happy for him!
Awesome shop Jesse. But I'm guessing you dont have many crane operator's watching. I want to politely give you some advice when extending the boom. Hydraulic cranes and boom trucks have slider pads that the boom extensions ride on. They will wear out fast if not properly lubricated. And the least friction on them is at approximately 65 degrees. And its common safety to have a tag line on everything you pick. Love your channel brother. Always stay safe.
Quite the advertisement for paslode surviving that fall twice with no issues
now he's got to test one 32ft fall 😂
Marvelous work, especially on the last day when you were all by yourself! I admire your confidence and skills, but also the safety precautions you follow. Still, you would not catch me on that roof any moment. Once finished, you will have a building to be treasured by all. Congratulations, and may the Lord bless you and keep you! Thank him for his guidance!!
Your go-pro mounted on head makes a LOT more sense than all the folks trying to accomplish tasks with one hand while holding a camera in the other!!
I suggest you keep a rope ladder in boom life basket in case it breaks down with you up in the air.
The wind was carrying them trusses like sails in the beginning, excellent job getting them done. So glad to see you being safety conscience, the last thing you want is to get hurt, you've got a lot to consider. Excellent video as always, your work ethic is second to none. And I want to give a shout out to the guys that help, well done.👍
Amazing that those trusses can hold a Catskill snow load.
Man! That was a long one just watching it, I can understand how you shot after all that, not only the physical work but also the stress of such a large job, and everything that goes with it like dealing with the wrong end trusses.
Jesse Muller is a talented multi purpose man
My back is killin me just watching you work lol. Great effort Jesse.
Watching in the UK…Love the long videos
Wow what a weekend. Long form videos from Andrew you and Ant Pants!
I watched them all along with M.bjoernstroem video 👌
@@Halibrand me too lol. He is a guy with many talents. Dynamiting rock one moment and air traffic control for private jets the next 🤯
@@Halibrand the airport work was a nice surprise
Ants Pants is a character
Always nice to see the personal product of a professional
Great work Jesse and Crew but NOAH STEALS THE SHOW!!
Peace and love
Watched several builds, similar equipment with 3 to 5 helpers and yours is by far the best. You spend time calculating, re-enforcing and minimizing risk, plus you explain the reasons why during the build with aerial shots.
WOW, a straight up marathon of building. You said you were whooped, I believe it. Great progress and now you can really tell the size of the building. Good job Jesse and crew. Keep the videos coming. Long ones are ok.
Another great video! We always get a complete picture of what you are working on. Not long put complete with all the detail.
I prefer watching the longer videos instead of other channels stretching out the contact week by week. keep up the awesome videos!
Best regards, from a long term subscriber
I worked for a truss manufacturer for a while. We always had the customers verify the individual truss shop drawings prior to fabrication to confirm their preferences. Also we offered an option to apply OSB sheathing to the gable trusses at the plant (huge time saver). Great job on setting the system!
yea I did get those drawings, but didnt really pay attention too closely. so it really is my fault that I didnt get the drop down trusses. I just thought since I gave the lumber yard my plans that called for the dropped down trusses that they would put them on there.
@@jmuller86 Jesse I would like to inform you that the subtitles are still not available 6 after the video is posted I don't know if it depends on you or youtube but this frustrating
@@TomGuimond it depends on youtube. I have no control over it
@@jmuller86 Too bad because I'm French-speaking and I have difficulty understanding when I can't put the subtitles in French but I believe that in yous tube studio publisher can add the subtitles to a video already online but I would understand if it's not possible
Fabulous videography of the first trusses being set … drone view must be useful to see in the cab too. Helmet cam added a closeup view, thanks.
The bracing at the end wall to start was brilliant. I once helped our contractor set up trusses with no bracing and it was sketchy, especially using us owners very unskilled labour to hand bomb the trusses into place. It did work out well, although another carpenter crew a few years later at a neighbouring house nearby, left unsupervised, didn’t put any bracing up and installed all the trusses. They went home for the night. Big wind cane up overnight and blew them all down and destroyed them. This was at the end of the pandemic when trusses lead time was months. They had to stick frame the roof to complete the job. 😮
Thanks for the video Jesse, from Canada 🇨🇦
Noah is always out there gettin’ after it
Noah is a great little helper. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
the deck on that flatbed definitely seen better days 😳
yeah they need to throw some white oak on their saw mill and re plank it. Somebody is going to get a board to the face soon.
@@TheKajunkat and caot it in old oil
Noah never fails to crack me up 😂😂😂
That boy is something else. Congratulations on getting her almost dried in; it won't be long now. Thanks for the video, I really enjoyed it.
I love these long form vlogs! Thanks Jesse.
Great progress, shop is coming together well.
End trusses, "what are you going to do?" I know you come up with a satisfactory fix.
Most men ( those that like to build things ) would love to have a shop like yours. We all have to make compromises somewhere. I have learned in life that no-matter how good you have things, you are never content and always wish or had hoped for something better.
Wow, Jesse. Yet again, you've amazed us with your creativity, progress & another leap forward with the dream shop build.
It must be freezing for Noah, the site foreman, to be still wearing jeans and a t shirt. The little man is growing quickly.
The new boom lift is an absolute beast.
If you haven't already subscribed, guys show your support, and let's help Jesse out
Thanks for this I really enjoyed it
Only 20minutes in and the pucker factor is off the Richter scale with those trusses- don’t you just love this channel🇬🇧😊
Well no one can say you shy away from hard work, well done and on top of this, thanks for the time & effort spent on editing this video
Magnificent, especially the lumberjack picking up staples at the end :)
Never saw a concrete roof done before, first men on multiple jobs...respect
You’re videos are top notch. Look forward to them always.
This video needs waaaaay moore trucking, the amount of sunglasses is good.
yourself, Andrew and Ants Pants are rocking YT these days!!
Your and Pat are awesome together, like brothers from a different mother🙂Jesse, PERFECT music for settling the first truse up. The three of you, [ you, your brother and Pat ] work like a well oiled machine, great to see. The respect you all have for one another in whatever jobs you are all doing to get things done! Sounds like liuttle Nopah, is gonna be going into the family business when he grows up..🙂. That FORD gas boom lift, you should maybe sell as it, and get another that is NOT a ford [ My husband says of Fords is, Fix Or Repair Daily ]. Mike [ Dirt Perfect ] bought one for his business in Derby Indiana, and it distroyed his one trailer as well, he neded up having to install all new flooring on his trailer, went with Diamond Plate I think. Congrats on the " newer '] Boom lift and it's Disiel!! Great Video, look forwqard to the next one, and more completeion done on your garage. Is your House finished now?? Stay Well and God bless you and your family and Pat as well.
Your husband is an asshole.
That crane was right on time, I love how everyone is safe to work another day Jesse.
ANOTHER GREAT JOB JESSE, MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS YOU.THE GARAGE IS COMING OUT BEAUTIFUL.
Good job.
Good job, Jesse. You got a lot accomplished.
So, maybe the timing belt has been the issue all along.
Thanks for the video.
could be, I am wondering if it has been loose the whole time
5/5/24...so Jesse, am ~50 minutes into this 'raising roof truss' video & had to say A+ on all your 'bracing, diagonals, horizontals, latterals..' & of course your little inspector Noah with his Hard Hat 'slanted' to convey his '5o Mission Crush' experience💪😊👍ya know, like those Hollywood movie stars in WWII movies...well maybe you are too young to remember, but that particular hat-on-head profile was the absolute example of unrivaled combat experiences & is living proof of exactitude & perfection!..so Jesse, loved the waay good extra bracing while erecting those 'web' Gable Braces. No doubt '50 Mission' supervisor Noah approved!! ..just gotta love the combo of your construction experience & cinematic producer/director instincts to show-off your main man, Noah! Man, I am eaten' your videos up!😋 ...now back to lifting those Gable Truss frames...
What a great feeling to get all that done. If you drink beer, have a cold one and enjoy.
Thank you for sharing, Jesse. I'm thankful for you progress in life, business and your family. Appreciate your ethics. Continuing to pray for you, your wife, family and your crew. I like the new(used) better equipment. Keep it safe, strong, healthy, wise and successful in Jesus's Name. ☝🙏🙌💪👍
Congratulations your dream garage shop is coming out great 👍 👌 👏
Dude, your videos are getting to be like watching the Godfather trilogy all in one day, ha. Super long but that's ok i enjoy it!
That CLARK BIG BOY is the shizzle..!
Carry on
Got that 2-stroke, 6V53 Detroit in it too!
"Honey, look how much money i saved by having my own crane(s)!" 😄
that crane already paid for itself several times from pouring concrete and setting beams on my house
Jesse trying to Trigger people with the Ford hate. 😂
Amazing job. Well done. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Some of the best on TH-cam! Watched the whole thing without a hint of being drowsy. For me that's saying something. Kind of feel like you and Pat are my friends but you don't know me. Been watching your videos for years.
I'm about the same age as you dad and retired.
thanks, I actually fall asleep watching my videos alot, mainly because its like the 4th time seeing the same thing but this video didnt make me fall asleep so thats why I kept it longer
Your vidios are the best 👍👍👍👍
4 fords in my yard all have 250,000 miles +, 2 with over 300,000 all with gas engines.
Congrats on making it happen, great fun to see. Hi from Michigan.
Your family and team are awesome. Excellent video.
garage coming along Jesse. setting those trusses is art in itself, to get them dang up on is some voodoo magic. nice catch on trusses starting to get out of whack. ice and water shield gets frustrating, eats up alotta time getting it to lay right. your frustration with that boom lift justified Jesse. if you can 'borrow' parts off it to keep the other ones running, it served some purpose
For the lift i would put a little kubota four cylinder diesel in there it would work perfectly fine for that little lift
Liked the timing of the music when setting that first truss.
Been looking forward to this one Jesse 👍
Very nice work Jesse and the guys looks great so far
Put outriggers on the basket of the high reach and set all plywood from that. It works good. Also that harness is killing me. With the rope grab below your feet almost off the edge will do nothing. You’ll be on the ground before it grabs and the stretch is taken up plus the lanyard had 6-10 feet in it.
Excellent job as always! I wish I would have built a 40x60, but I was only planning on putting a boat in it. Ive' determined if I built one the size of a football field I would have filled it though! If you haven't already, don't give up on that man lift. I have never heard of that engine, maybe for a tractor? Find a 300 6 cylinder and rebuild it. You will never have to mess with it again and like you said that other machine is heavy. I have always been a Ford guy, but I am older than you and when Ford went to this variable timing crap they had some incredible engines. It would be of no use to you but the 4.0 210 hp v6 was bad ass in 4 rangers I had then before that the 260, 289, 302 were incredible and my dad had a "truck" 360 new in 1972. I had a new 1991 F 250 4x4 with 4:10.1 limited slips with a port fuel injected 460 that was a monster. Those 300 inline 6's are unstoppable. They are in Tugs to pull planes. I had my first diesel experience 2 years ago I bought a TYM T 25 with a Kukje diesel that kicks my neighbors 37 hp Deeres butt in lift capacity and all the way around. I researched for 6 months and neither Deere or Kubota could touch TYM. TYM made Branson, RK, and maybe Mahindra? I was skeptical about the Kukje but they have been in Deere and other tractors since 1959 and I believe Cummins makes them. I did have a JD 430 with a 3 cylinder Yanmar 20 hp that was a beast. Just remember. If it's too small you have room to build another one! lol
Intro was epic, well done Jesse.
Nice work thinking safe. Keep in mind, you should have a tagline on every truss lift.
Nice job Jesse!! As a;ways.....admire your work ethic!!
Dang bud yall kicked butt !!! Nice Job
Jesse that's one awesome shop my friend.
You’re a hard worker brother 👍🇦🇺🇺🇸
Rock climbing!! Yessss! Awesome pal!
Thanks for this
Both you and Andrew are living the dream keep on dreaming, believing, living
Well done! Will be nice to actually get in the space and see more possibilities!
Wonderful , what a nice building. I would ask your local fire dept to come and put a water stand pipe in one of your lakes. Would be helpful for insurance, and for fire suppression in the sad event of a fire on your property.
Love the off grid living, I wanna do this in an factory setting, I know I can
I have seen people buildin boxes for the overhang. with 2.6 inside and out with blocking inside the two 6.6, and they put it up in one piece each side seperate. Halifax Nova Scotia Canada
Excellent work
Good job jessie, love the kids
@Jesse muller nice long video dream garage coming long nicely looking forward to the next one
Appreciate the peaceful construction.
good camera work Jesse - gonna be a NICE shop
Lights out on Saturday evening, respect.
Great work Jesse & friends.
Awesome video Jesse. Lots of hard work. 👏👏🙌
👏 👏👏That garage looks awesome for one moment I though you where going to use that Storm Guard on the hole roof I wish you would done it but it makes sense becouse the snow tends to accumulate at the lower ends of the roof but aider way it looks awesome job.
I done a lot of roofing as well but that one is very big roof for shore it can make anyone tired and don't worry Jesse I know how you feel after that long day by you self because I work alone every day.
Kind regards buddy looking forward to the next video thanks a lot 👍 👍
Now it's an enclosure.
Interesting video!
Btw; fun to watch the extreme speed at the plane passing @ 38:26 😂
Personally I hate adverts over 10 seconds nether mind 50 seconds every 10 min but there's only you and Andrew c who i truly don't even mind bearing the torture for ye deserve the cash keep up the good work 💯
Excellent work!
Two and half hours!
Whacko the chook!!
..beer time!
!
Absolutely well done Jesse, amazing job putting the rolls on by yourself. Thanks for sharing.
With so many machines to keep going it's about time that you have this building Jesse. I've worked in a similar capacity on farming machines and it takes a lot of space and we only had one 14 by 16 door to manipulate up to 6 machines into an almost similar sized area. Good going on getting the roof made weatherproof, especially by yourself at the end. I bet those two boys are a handful too.
so much work done ,amazing !!
You make awesome buildings, JM...
You have an amazing work ethic. Very glad for your success in this video. That can be a dotting task. Seems like the weather was in your favor while doing this.
Looks good plenty of space and height 🇬🇧🇮🇪.
I'll take a Ford gas engine over a chevy or dodge gas engine any day. Barn is going to be awsome!!
