Thank you. This is a short video but my latest Course: lizackerley.podia.com/your-collage-compositions has much more about paper creation and collage development.

I clicked on this having watched your recent video on how you use your collage papers. It was such a coincidence as yesterday I spent the entire day moving my art kit from one room to another and in the process, filing my collage papers. For A4 size pieces I use those old cardboard desk-top stationary drawers from the post office that I happened to have but they are megga expensive to buy. My sister was a teacher and gave me a super waist-height box with slide out plastic trays for storing kids stuff. I’m thrilled!

A fun, informative and worthwhile exersise, looks like a gel plate is a useful piece of kit.

Hi Anita, I am so glad that you enjoyed it. Yes I think they really are useful if you are keen to create your own papers on a regular basis. The process is quite addictive and very handy if you are a collage artist or want to use collage in your work.

Thank you Lynda I am glad you enjoyed it - it’s appropriate for my Ramshackles so I thought I’d give it a try. Seems to work quite well.

I’ve recently started exploring collage in a mixed media project I’ve been working on and, putting them into any kind of order is a definite challenge. I finally got some large but relatively flat, clear bins that stack. I separate my papers by color, more or less, and, while they are contained, I can just envision a wall of stacked bins before long!

Hi Kate - clear bins that stack sounds perfect! I separate by colour too but also have text separate and tissue etc ( neutral not coloured) separate . Im progressing with an online collage course at the moment to be released in the new year.

The sequin waste pieces are called, “punchinello,” evidently. 😊
