I think this is one of the main quirks DCS has: the first time you need to setup the controls just sucks. It takes up way too much time and is confusing for a beginner (especially the axis fine tune settings and them sometimes being inverted). Very nice video and gj on trying to help those new players.
leave it to good ol ralferman to make 2 lessons before actually setting foot outside the settings menu. i love how in depth you go with the 0-hero guides. it made me choose the a10 as a first paid module and i've been loving dcs ever since.
6:30 - There is also possible to change how this look-around works. You can switch function to "hold to look left, release to re-center view) mode. I think it is done by "F6" by default.
One thing to mention is that you can press the buttons on whatever controlled device you use in settings and it highlights what each of the buttons do on it. Less useful for keyboard though. I usually do it when I've had a long break from the game and need to figure out what the different hats and buttons do on my HOTAS.
The A-10 tutorials of yours are great, they enabled me to go from absolutely god awful at using the Warthog, to just now mildly offensive, with the ability though to slave all sensors to SPI like a champ 🤣 That's a reflection on me being a bit shit at DCS, not on the comprehensiveness of your tutorials. Haha.
i’m a little confused on how i should map my controls to my specific hotas, should i just look up my model su25 layout and copy from there? or should i just map them to wherever and then change from there? great vids tho man
Hello Ralfi. Correct me if I'm wrong but the bindings for each plane are not saved in savedgames/DCS/Config/Input? Every time I reinstall DCS I copy the INPUT folder back into savedgames and everything works perfectly. Cheers!
7:07 You have Wheel brake in K-board and that is fine. But i have a ruder pedals with wheel break axis, and su25t doesnt have axis for wheel brake. Is there any other way to bind it to my peddals?
1 of your chapters is named incorrectly mate. the one where you explain keyboard mappings is called "Graphics settings (SpecialK)" i believe you copied from the first video and forgot to rename it?
so im hoping someone would still see this, im trying to bind certains things to my t16000m joystick, however its not registering any of my joystick input, my throttle works just fine no clue why.. tried googling, but couldnt find anything really helpful either, something about switching axis commands?? but when i click the tab to switch to axis commands only, the keys i want to bind to my joystick disappear so im clueless.. EDIT: even in axis commands only, my joystick input isnt being registered.. pls help :\
@@ralfidude I ended up binding it to the push button on the 4 way comms hat. Wish you could bind it to the pedals like the rest of the airplanes... Thanks!
On my x56, I have it bound to one of the buttons on the back of the throttle. Probably could fit something more important there, but it's worked for me.

I love your tutorial. The SU25T is a great free plane and your tutorial will sure bring more ppl to DCS

DCS is a complex simulator.. Expect lots of stuff to press.
If you want simple brain out arcade crud... ShitThunder and CrapCombat
@@sahhull That DCS is complex does nothing to change that the new user experience sucks.
I loved your A-10 guide and I’m sure I’ll like this one as well!!

I just like his voice, I'm here for the ASMR.
Thank for these videos ralfidude. So Helpful.
Watchimg him tell you all the buttons to remember just reminds me how nice it is to have a clickable cockpit
YOU ARE A SAINT. My first 60 hrs in this game were hell until I found this!
Dude these videos are literally so helpful
Thanks man this is so incredibly detailed!

Don't even fly the SU-25T but am watching this, can now invade Georgia.
🤣
Gotta love the F14D Theme there

6:10. Instead trim you can adjust aircraft balance by throttle. This will make you use trim much less.

Best tutorials
this is amazing thanks so much
12:30 - The full flaps are used for T/O. At least according to official tutorial.

it would be so cool if you did this kind of guide on how to fly the f-16. Its a good jet to start with
Just a detail. The SU-25a is in the FC3. The SU-25T is free and comes with the game.
i have 2k+ hours in this game and i am watching this

I want to control the plane with the mouse, not arrows... how can i do that?

No, hence why everyone has to use W on the keyboard for wheel breaks. Maybe in the future they will add it.
@@ralfidude lame... xd
If they didn't do it, they will never do it
I wonder if old su25 have Axis for braking... anyone knows?
Yippe!

got it, thanks
What joystick and Hotas do you use? I'm relatively sure that's the Warthog throttle but not sure if the stick is too?
it is
Good shit, please can you fly the A-10-C ii again, I love watching your videos on the A-10-C ii.
Hi Ralfi! With pedals with toe brakes can you bind the brakes of the SU25T to axis? No right?
I didn't see you mention the brakes binding
Nope, no wheel breaks for axis unfortunately

(Pin this) I'm new to dcs... No you don't need a joystick.... Is it hugely better? Yes. You can control where you are flying sooooo much better
🐸🦶=❤
Excuse me,where can i download your F-14D theme?
Easy 😳🧐🥵
What do you have your wheel brake bound to?
For this plane, nothing, I just hit W on the keyboard. Works for me at least. You do what you want with that.

HOW TO USE MOUSE AS FLIGHT CONTROLLER? INSTEAD OF ARROWS
Can't, it's not meant to be flown like that. If you have a controller use that.

Hi there, your Throttle imgur link returned a 404 :)
