Great video - thanks for sharing. What is that net around the chassis. I need that in a big way to keep all the dirt, rocks etc out of there while it has the ability to breathe
Glad you enjoyed! The cover I use is the Dusty Motors Chassis Cover for Slash 4x4. I talk about it a little bit in my video here: th-cam.com/video/wQYgt3Nc4oU/w-d-xo.html
I was originally going to get the Trencher 2.2, but then I realized that they are really grippy which I prefer less grip, so it can slide around. What tires do you recommend?
My buddy gave me his monster slash he built over 9 years ago. The tire rubb hard on the A-arms, and it’s turning radius is like 30 feet. What wheels do i need to correct this?
Sorry this ended up being a longer video! Here are some rough timestamps: 1:05 stock Traxxas tires & on-road recommendations 4:30 off-road tires, monster truck, & paddles 10:30 track tires 16:49 slash wheelies :)
I need a 4" diameter 1.5" diameter GT 1/8 wheel/tire combo. I don't see a lot of options. Would like a wheel that looks good on a Ferrari or other race car. Putting a Delta Plastik body on my Rally/Slash. I want to drive like a car on pavement. Not speed testing straight lines. Do you have a recommendation?
Im not sure what size they are been a while since i bought them but i have stampede tires on my slash 4x4 lcg. I geared down to a 9 tooth pinion tons of tourqe and my temps are still good on 3s with the traxxas esc and motor
Yeah I've heard that before. I've personally only stripped tires from running in grass/moss and getting it wrapped around the hex adapter and melting the plastic. You can sometimes add a couple teflon washers between the hub carrier and hex to make it a little tighter, and maybe add a little threadlocker when tightening the nut (if it isnt a nylon lock nut).
3S definitely has a tendency to put the front tires up. One thing to check is your slipper clutch, you could loosen it slightly to allow it to slip more under rapid acceleration. Since you have 4WD you could possibly adjust the rear diff fluid to something a little heavier to get more power delivered to the front. Also, you could adjust your pinion/spur gear setup for less torque/ more top end speed.
No, different models of the slash come with different tires. Throughout all the different models of the slash, different tires are used, and your tires probably differ from his.
Don't take this ad vice it's wrong you will break tons of parts . I made this mistake broke mountain s of drive lines and parts. Duratrax sc or similar the slash is designed to spin tires and slide around corners trenchers and bad lands make car run bad and kills the drive line fast.to much grip . Be ware.
Be under no false impressions, the trencher or 'monster slash' tyres are utter dog shit. They expand to pizza cutters after more than half throttle and will RIP the body apart.
badlands hook up like crazy. my fav but they wear pretty quick on a brushless system.
I just gotta say, your content is great and extremely helpful and you deserve more subs! keep up the great work
I agree
Great video - as a new slash owner it’s answered a lot of questions. Thanks 👍🏻
what's covering your shocks and chassis? does it make a difference for cleaning after a rainy or muddy day?
Great video, trencher 2.2’s for me
I got some proline gladiators are they good for track

Can you please let me know where to find your bag for covering all the electronics and the shocks please?
I have the badlands they grip good however them being bigger and heavier they break stuff easier
Hey man what's that black cover on your Traxxas slash is it homemade and or where did you purchase it
It is a dusty motor cover. You can go watch his 10 upgrades for Traxxas slash on his channel to see where he bought it.

Had 2.8 badlands on a rustler. Went through tall grass like it was nothing.

Hey bud, I subscribed I look forward to more videos I'm going to go through all your videos, keep it up
If i get skidmarks from using any of these tires, I will know I made a good purchase and will probably switch to Depends when driving.
Lol
He did say skid marks....
Wtf!!!???😅😂🤣😅
Good video and info. Really helped me out. Thanks
BRO WHERE DID YOU GET THOSE HUGE TIRES!!!!!
where did you get that net cover for your slash?
It is a dusty motors cover. If you go to his channel you can find the video called 10 upgrades for Traxxas slash 4 x 4
Real nice video thank you I enjoyed it
is there a tire where i can go off-road and on road for the 4wd slash
Awsome video bud
My stock rear tires are completely bald after only 4 runs street/dirt. Why do they only last 2 hours??
VXL slash with 3s lipos
yeah they dont last too long
Great video my friend..
Bro u need more vids but keep up the awesomeness!!!!!
Thanks for the feedback! Its been a crazy year but im definitely planning more vids over the next couple months.

I have the 4wd Rally VXL brushless from 2012.
What about Duratrax? It also good?
is the electronics "bag" custom?
im putting some pro line trenches on my slash vxl 4x4 should i run 2.2 or 2.8
Im not sure what size they are been a while since i bought them but i have stampede tires on my slash 4x4 lcg. I geared down to a 9 tooth pinion tons of tourqe and my temps are still good on 3s with the traxxas esc and motor
2.8 will ballon like pizza cutters and slash becomes uncontrollable
joel rangel soo go 2.2
Ive never had a balloon problem and im on 4s now soooo idk buy whatever you want.
@@SuperSmashHoes64 are u brushless? If so no way 2.8 dont balloon
2.8 trencher always strip the hex idk why.

I got myself aluminum hubs to prevent stripped hex drop the rim on the badlands mx wheels but pricey for these hex hubs. But durability is important.
Why cant I keep my front down 3s ultimate on stock tyres

Dude do you know what your talking about? My 4x4 slash pull wheels all the time. With the stock tires all the time.
Isn’t the bad lands 2.8?.
I feel like this is kinda cap. Mine will only pull wheelies on stock tires if I use 3s and hit a small bump to pop the front up
No, different models of the slash come with different tires. Throughout all the different models of the slash, different tires are used, and your tires probably differ from his.
You did a very informative video thank you.
You never put the link for the video of the bigger tires. I know this is old, just sayin'
Ah sorry, it's at the end of this video: th-cam.com/video/VahuViPtqrs/w-d-xo.html
Proline street fighters any day
Let me buy those trenchers on desperados

@@thekingofgamers3350 yeah they're fantastic in mud
