For the wheels I’ll hold the wheel in one hand at an angle 🤩🤩 as you have @18:11 and drop some glue at the top of the bead and top of the wheel and turn the wheel with almost both hands as I’ve still got the bottle of glue in one hand until the glue is rolling then I’ll put the glue down and watch the glue roll around the bead of the wheel whilst turning the wheel slowly enough that the glue doesn’t runaway with the gravity still at an angle and keep applying glue this way until I’m happy with the amount and also this way you halve almost 100 clean job once you’ve done the first two wheels hope this helps Nolan 😎✅
I have a stamped 2wd and I’ve added aluminum suspension and soon upgrading the gearbox and cover. I’m thinking about a clutch eliminator because I burn through them crazy quick!
A Clutch Eliminator is pretty risking especially if you bash your Stampede…it’ll ends up breaking the driveshafts or your differential or it could spin out your wheel hexes
It's not that you are bad at gluing, you just need different glue. I used to have that problem until I started buying glue at hobby lobby in the pink label. Don't need any attachments and it is the perfect thickness to make perfect glue bonds.
@@ultramaga2398 yeah I’ve also had the outside of the bearings get caught in the aluminum carriers when the bearings fall apart…it’s kind of a pain to get them out without using heat
just got my slash 4x4 and all i can say is holy crap what a truck. i didnt realize how many aftermarket parts this truck comea with. matches my really built 2wd slash well
Well I hit a Rock today breaking the shock front shock on my ultimate and cracking the swing a 😞 so I need to order new front shocks and som Rpm swing arms and get that done. I'm so glad you made this video. I was confused about the springs. Lol I also had my eyes on Proline. People are telling me that the GTRs are the best though. So I guess I'll stay with them.
love the channel bro just picked me up a slash 4x4 yesterday, first rc ive owned so appreciate the videos! How do I find out what parts will fit my rig?!
Yo Nolan, are the GTR really worth it for this purpose? for bashing and jumping? They are expensive and good quality but they seem to be designed for racing more than other thing, I have never had issues with the ultra shocks (which feel like they are designed to bash, with the plastic flex and the progressive shocks) after upgrading to the tin shafts and tightening the caps very well, been jumping and bashing for 2 years already, with 0 issues, reliable and durable.
Question: if you aren't good at gluing and dislike it that much, why didn't you just get premounted tires and rims? Is it because you wanted those specific rims?
I use ic-2000 black 20-45sec tire glue from hobbytown. Its the best glue I've used on tires. I run a bead on the inside and outside of the rims and they haven't come apart yet. I run my slash on 4s. Those tires are awesome. I got the 1/5th scale sized ones.
Ooh was watching car wreck… I watched whole vid 🤔😔… watch Adam drake or mike cradock tire vid their pros 😜.. keep up the good work though..I’m picking up that center diff this week thanks for tip
I've seen this video several times lol but rewatching and still learning. Lol great video. I'm so happy you take the time and explain so well.
Glad you found the video helpful 👍😉

Good tip! Thanks! I need to focus more on my glueing skills or lack there of lol

Oh yeah and I just ordered some beadlocks and wheel weights.

I agree’ those black wheels with the silver rings do look the best out of all the rest that comes on the slash models
Yeah that’s what I think….this definitely is the most neutral that matches the most body colors

I gotcha……I have issues with the applicators most of the time….I end up putting on too much and making a mess
15:25 the shaft should expand after compresion but it stay compressed...
Great info, thank you! Got my sub.
Appreciate it! Glad you liked it!
I had the same problem with the aluminum c hub carrier. After a while the bearings just kept falling out. Traxxas is retired because of that.

Nice! Yeah there are a lot of aftermarket parts available for the Slash 4x4

Yeah thank You my friend🤝✌️
You’re welcome!
Really good video your channel will grow a lot in the next year really impressive
Appreciate it man! Glad you enjoyed it 😉
17:45 this hole is not for the shocks, its for the swaybar
I tried increasing the ride height on my slash for bashing. I spent more time flipping over than bashing.
Yeah it definitely will make it much more top heavy…..we’ll just have to see how it does
i would try getting like some monster truck tires or 2.8 tires just so it can lift your car up and little bit without messing with the ride height

Basically anything made for a Slash 4x4 should fit unless it’s LCG specified
Love this content 👏 thanks again man
Thank you!
Would have been easier and cheaper to get a slash ultimate no?
Maybe……but I’ve already got one of those so it wasn’t as much about the money making this one into the Ultimate machine

If your not having any issues with the ultra shocks….I would recommend that you stick with them…rather than upgrade
Great video 👍🏾
Thanks!

Yeah I need the Traxxas rims to run the wheel hex claws and this particular tire
Titanium nitride
Thanks……titanium nitride
You show how to glue tires. But you never did it before??
It’s Not a “How to” video……meaning I’m not teaching people how to do it……I have glued tires before though….I’m not great at it
Next time glueing the tires, you should put the glue on first then the band
Honestly……I think that’s just gonna make the glue seep out even worse….
If these shocks weren't so expensive I would put them on my 2wd slash. I plan on putting the stocks on but changing to the better shafts
Yeah they’re not the cheapest upgrade
Good build, you need some fling king sct tires there the best
Thanks! Is that the brand?

you should get the kraton 6s shocks on eBay they’re like 30 bucks for like a set of four it’s the best deal ever
