Probably, but I gotta say, I think the reason I find this so nostalgic to watch is because of those early polygons. Unlike pixel art, they represent to me that time in the first few years of the 2000's when new games with poly backgrounds were appearing in what I guess were the last of the western arcades... Being 10 or 11 in 2003, slightly too young to have lived through the complete pixel arcades but just in time to see them begin to fade.
I definitely get nostalgia from early 2000s arcades, I miss those days. 2.5D Dreamcast/Naomi games like Zero Gunner, Ikaruga, Border Down etc hold up better than this. But the gameplay is great
Sammy moved their games division over to Sega. Maybe they will teach their programmers how to not have so much slow down now. Have you played Viewpoint on Genesis? It's bad. Fun game, but too much slowdown spoils it.
Dreamcast metal slug lmao , atomiswave and Naomi is basically Dreamcast Arcade! Like Triforce is Gamecube Arcade .....definitely putting this on my GPD XD plus

Hush. That's part of the charm. Sometimes it's cool and comforting to instantly know when a game or when any piece of media was made.

これ、アトミスウエイブのローンチタイトル的なやつでしたっけ?
シューティングというよりアクションゲームっぽいと思ったら、メタスラに関わった人が制作なんですねこれ。
妙に敵が硬かったり破壊の細かい所も似ていますし、各ボスの濃い絵ワロタ。
しかし、メタスラと違って強制スクロールもあって爽快感は半端ないですね。
主人公のアンこそアネット姫だったのか、、、、
このエンディング見たことない(難しくて、、、)から初めて知った
最後のイルカにキスとウインクする姫、、、、かわいい
ゲーム中でも露出度高い服を着てるし、結構活発的で放浪癖が元々あるおてんばな姫様なのかもしれませんね

メタスラのパクリと思うかリスペクトと思うかは人によるだろうけど、なにかが足りない感があるのは俺だけだろうか。
ポリゴンだけど背景はしっかり書き込んであるし、キビキビ動く。イルカに乗るアイディアは悪くないし水中ステージもあってちゃんと活かれてる。
なのになんだろう、一生懸命作った凡作という感が拭えない。
ボスも凝ってるのになあ。
メタスラにあったギャグ的要素がないというだけの問題ではない気がする。
道中が妙に長すぎるってのもあるかも。
あとイルカの模様がシャチみたいなのも少し気になりました。
余談、1P側のキャラクターの服装、銃を持った「海のトリトン」みたいw

イルカ乗ってなんかヒラヒラしたもの身につけてたらそりゃトリトンですよねw
