- Very heavy takeoff and slow climb out from Philadephia Onboard an American Airlines Boeing 737-800. Watch this beautiful aircraft spool up and accelerate down the runway in full HD!
Flight time was 2 hours and 35 minutes from PHL to Miami
For those of you wondering... the buzzsaw sound is made by the turbofan blade tips, going faster than the speed of sound. Usually at full power, they would be at something like mach 1.2 - 1.6.
Nice! I always thought that´s the sound of the ring combustor exploding hundreds of liters of Kerosene through the engine core high pressure turbine section every minute. So that´s why this sound can only be heard from in front of the engine - because it´s the turbofan.
You can't hear it from behind the engine because the sound of the exhaust drowns out the sound
I know and I can't stand buzzsaw

@@beamrd finally, someone who can actually relate!
0:39 *That noise!*
Pxthfinder BEST NOISE
2:39 ?
737 is famous for its so called “Hum” when adding/reducing power. Beautiful noise!
yes! thank you!
Even better in person with the fuel pump sound. What a great airplane
Glorious engine sound I was blown away by this engine a mile away
Amazingly captured to explain Buzz saw noise phenemenon
that's a signature sound of modern high bypass turbofan engines, regardless of the aircraft they are installed
Low bypass also make a very similar sound (e.g. JT8's)
*cries in airbus A220 engine*
@@Sn0wdawgz They do, but it's a higher pitch, because of the smaller fan. More like an angry wasp sound, than buzz saw. For comparison here's a JT8D take off video. th-cam.com/video/_EVvuehRZp0/w-d-xo.html
@@michaelturner4457 yes that does sound similar to an angle grinder
@@coydog7902 cries in GE90
Awesome!!! Those Sounds are incredible!
Flightline sure are!!
If you sit at a airport viewing road, this sound is very loud and noticeable. Almost apocalyptic
So true, and reverse thrust... I was in a parking lot and a 737 activated its reverse thrust. I was at least 200 meters away but it was **SO DAMN LOUD !!**
Just wondering, is it nice living next to an airport knowing that you can see planes takeoff every few minutes? Or is it annoying after a while?
@@hannesp3493 personally, I live at 20min of CDG (it's nice for spotting ;). Even if I'm lazy and approaches are on RWs 9L and 8R, I can do spotting from my house. So yeah living next to a known airport isnt bad.
(Notice : planes are still on ILS approaches, a few times with landing gear extended.
And also, I highly reccomend to live at the maximum 50km (31mi) away from an Airport (by road), if you are a frequent flyer of if you simply love planespotting.) I have a nice view with planes at around 5km (3.1mi))
@@matheo9246 Ohhh...thanks for the info. Always wondered how it was like living next to an airport. Cheers mate!
I love the 737 it seems roomy and I love the buzzsaw!
A320 is wider than a 737
Is the buzzsaw sound what you hear at 2:00 that deeper sound that's Buzzing*
Roomy when compared to a CR2
A321: hold my cheap inflight beverages
see thats why i prefer the old engines than these new quiet ones
Beautiful Sound.
The groan at 0:38-1:00 is so melodious!
nice jet engine sound and view awesome very cool
Why am I literally the _only_ one here who hates the sound of buzzsaw? The note of that particular buzzsaw is piano E2 which is considered the beginning of a bass singer's range.
my man got dat 1st class seat son!
looks like a brand new airplane
I've always wondered what angels sound like. I think 1:46 and on answers that question.
fan blades going supersonic, the case is perforated where the
fan blades are to dissipate pressure waves from the sound.
1. The blades can't go supersonic or they will stall. 2. The case is NOT perforated.
@@Sn0wdawgz The blades do go supersonic. That's what causes the buzzsaw sound on most modern jet engines.
@@SOUTHENDAVIATION isn't it only the tips of the blades that go supersonic?
@@MotorStorm66 yes
1:18 in the back is that a Bombardier CRJ200?
Sorry for the late reply but no. That's an Embraer ERJ-145
Sounds beautiful during takeoff like IAE V2500
Exact same concept. This sound can be heard amongst almost all high bypass turbofans.
Fanblades at supersonic speeds go brrrrrrrrrr
This is cfm56-7b, cfm56 is the a320 engine
CFM56-7B26
It is also used on the 737. The -7B exclusively powers the 737NG
CoFee grinder Machine
The Engine is Probably Idleing, wwhile its being throttled down
A320-214 has this engine too right.
Francis different variant, but both the CFM56 engine
yes the A320-214 has the CFM56-5B while this has the CFM56-7B. correct me if I'm wrong. :)
similar cfm 56 5b's
what is it called when the engines of the plane rumble during descent?
Jon Page ground effects
When I sit by the wing I don’t hear the buzz saw but I don’t know why
You have to be in front of the engine, otherwise you will just hear jetblast. And most modern engines are quieter.
This is incorrect. The actually noise you can hear on these planes, and in this video, is the the sound of the cheese and ham paninis heating up in the cooking boxes at the front of the plane, ready to be served once the plane reaches cruising altitude. Any experienced pilot will tell you this.
Better than the 767’s buzzsaw
Which version AA uses? 22, 24 or 26k CFM 56’s ?
All have 27K rated engines, but they are derated most of the time to 22K, 24K
I love me some cfm 56 7b 27’s
Toga 1:46
Oh ny gosh.... Buzzing sound like a airbus a340 cfm56
Why can't I hear the awesome sound in the middle or back of the plane? :-( Can anyone tell me? PLEASE?
+Erika Martin because of the fast wind , and the engine itself is sucking sonic waves....
Because the noise is from the fan and projects forward. The engine cowling silences it.
Seriously? I have lost faith in America's education.
Because you are not in front of the fan blades where the sound is pointing
that sound you are hearing is the tips of the fan blades going supersonic and you can hear that in front of the engines, however behind the engine it is just the sound of rushing air. in fact in the upper deck of a 747 you can hear it better i put a video on my channel
1:46 *sound when i cut a wood in a sawmill*
My old ps4 LOL
why do they make that buzz?
when the engine is set for takeoff speed and it's at its set speed the engine can balades at the very end are going super sonic or almost super sonic that's what creates the amazing buzz sound
Oscar Thorpe the tips of the fan blades go supersonic at full power., that buzz saw is the small sonic booms they are creating.
Yep
do they use the CFM56 on airbus a319s as well? because i have noticed this before on an easyjet flight
yes
0:42
i prefer the RR RB211™
I have a video of the same type on my Channel, you should definetely check it out (it has a heavy vortex effect).
Other than that WOW this sound is still incredibly nice !!
IAE engine?
Nope CFM
sounds like a podracer
Goggles Tigerkhan
*Storms the cockpit*
"Now THIS is podracing!"
that's why I hate 1st class
Oh get outta here. It's the best noise on the plane. Beck would be louder
You don't deserve 1st class.
Abrar Borno they cant afford first class
Annoying sound
Annoying for assholes and dipshits like you.
@@abrarborno2629 I wouldn’t call him a dipship over an engine sound. I myself love the sound, but some people would rather just get from A to b. No need to call him a dipshit.
Disagree with you 👎🏼
