Fans saw inappropriate photos being posted on social media by staff of them goofing off. Whether they were off the clock or not, making pyramids, laying across his piano, holding his guitar, licking his guitar, etc. does not show respect. Fans contacted Paisley Park. Those people were fired. Case closed.
Just respect the man's home. She is really dragging this situation through the mud. Why stay there if you can make more flipping burgers? They really need to hire staff that appreciates his work and home. JMO
Christypher Don't know of Kurky J. You couldn't take pics. Other than the one they did at the end which I thought was cheesy. It was bittersweet for me, but I'm glad I went. He was amazing!
I've visited twice since it opened. I enjoyed my experience with my tour guides, I see paisley park as a place to pay my respects to Prince. Its like visiting yr deceased loved one, and it was like closure for me, I cried each time lol, but I felt him there, I can't wait to go again, I love the new additions to it and I wouldn't change my experience for the world.
Charlye6 ... You and many others who have been able to visit Paisley Park are so very lucky! I've been wanting to go so bad even long before his death but since his passing more so than ever because like you said if anything for the closure (just as you stated) and to pay my respects but I know that I'll probably never make it there :( Virginia isn't "that" far from MN but it's also not close. I already know I would feel his presence there because when someone loves their dwellings as much as he loved his you're bound to feel something different and special as if they're still there. I really hope I can go there soon one day. Thanks for sharing :)
Hi I’m from Belgium and same as you I need to go there to find closure …my plan is to visit next year for His 5th anniversary …I know I will be very emotional coz He is My Hero Since the early 80s
@@mariovh I can relate to everything you're saying. Wow! That's awesome you're from Belgium. I had a friend that lived in Antwerp. Such a beautiful country with the most exquisite Architecture and history. Hope you can make it there. Good Luck! :) P.S. - Same last name as Prince? Another wow! :)
@@EmeraldJade66 i visited Minneapolis around 2015. while at the Mall of Americas i think i saw a tram that takes you to Paisley Park, correct me of i'm wrong. i'm so sorry i didnt get on that mode of transportation.
@@flyingbucket Oh wow! That would've been awesome to take that. Hope you can go back some day and I hope I can go some day at least once in my lifetime ... that is Paisley Park. Mall of America I've had no desire. I get a headache literally from walking around our small town Mall can't imagine what that Mall would do to me by the end of the day. Would probably need to go to the emergency room for hurt feet, a headache and God knows what else :D lol! As long as it has a few shops I'm good to go but hundreds of shops um.. why that many? No thanks. Would rather an amusement park instead of a mall thank you :)
I met Ronchelle years before she worked at Paisley Park. I met her at a Prince concert back in 2012 in NYC. She's a great person and a true Prince fan. I think her hopes for making the tour more authentic by making sure that the tour guides were true Prince fans who knew him for more than just 'Purple Rain' was beyond admirable. I've been a Prince fan since the 80s because I wasn't old enough to listen to his music before then. It is frustrating that many people only know him for his hits and not his full discography but that's how all hardcore fans feel about their favorite artists. I have Ronchelle as a friend on FB and saw when she got hired at Paisley...also saw her posts after she was fired. She was angry and hurt and rightfully so. I think they should have given her a warning before just terminating her right out but unfortunately it is a business. I wish I could be all anti-establishment but I'm a realist. If they hadn't turned Paisley Park into a business, it was probably going to be closed down and demolished. Prince loved Paisley Park. To see it be destroyed would have been heartbreaking; so I will gladly support it becoming a "business" if that means it can remain standing. Plus, it's a symbol of Prince's hard work and love of making music that should be seen by the next generation of young musicians. The studios in that building are absolutely gorgeous and fully functional and have so much history and purpose. It's more than just a damn building and it upsets me that people, Prince fans and non-fans, don't see that. That was his home and a big part of his legacy that he fought damn hard to protect for decades of his life...that should be respected if you genuinely respect him...PERIOD! His energy and vision will not be cast aside like it meant nothing. The history in that building, not just Prince's but all the artists who have recorded there, deserves to remain intact by any means necessary. They are trying hard to keep it open which is why they are charging for tours. Electricity isn't free...property taxes aren't free. It costs a lot of money to keep it open. I went this past June for his birthday weekend and it's a huge structure. It wouldn't be cheap to run even if there where no employees working there. The essence of him still remains in those walls....he's still there; we just can't see him anymore. His music was born within those walls and his music was who he was...that's too precious to lose. As much as I wanted to cry during the tour, I didn't because I felt at peace. I know God welcomed him into eternity with open arms. Was it annoying that I couldn't take photos inside despite paying the VIP prices, yes; but, there is one thing that I remember that Prince was very adamant about when he was alive. NO CAMERAS! NO VIDEOS! That was Prince's rule and they are just respecting the wishes that he had in life for all his concerts and his properties including Paisley Park. That should be the one thing that ALL Prince fans should know and respect.
Reality and we'll spoken PAISLEY PARK SHOULD REMAIN TO STAND IT WOULD BREAK MY HEART 💔 TO SEE THIS MUSICAL EMPIRE TO BE DEMOLISHED AS IF PRINCE NEVER EXISTED THAT WOULD BE SAD AND SHAMEFUL 💔 PAISLEY PARK IS OF HISTORICAL VALUE FOR GENERATIONS TO COME ANYHOW 🤔
Prince planned it to be a museum. Anyone who knows anything about prince would not disrespect him in his own house like this group did. Prince didn't allow phones in PP at all. Not in the door even.
Ok I thought it was just me...Some people think because they are fans you suppose to be there...but you should also Respect his house .If you love him(prince)put your all into being a tour guide and respect. Prince put so much hard work into Paisley Park and I hate it came to this.
I saw two or three photos that ended up on Facebook after my October visit to Paisley Park that showed employees horsing around and laying on top of the piano; the pyramid photo she mentioned, and one other picture was of an employee who picked up the blue cloud guitar and pretended to be playing it. That's why they stopped having people take pictures next to the piano and guitar and they ended up roping it off. I paid to have a picture of me standing behind the piano, and I was asked if I wanted to sit on Prince's bench and I told them no. I did not feel right sitting on it, so I didn't. I'm glad I got my photo, but I'm glad they stopped it because people started right away disrespecting Prince's house and his belongings.
Thats the only thing I hated when they open Prince house up to people...Not respecting his house and telling things that probably shouldn't have. If anybody say they love prince would only show respect. 2) That's not a job to make a career. I just wish prince would have left instructions on his Estate, money, vault. SMDH...
@@anetricejones4263 Prince was extremely smart, calculating, business savy.... THERE'S NO WAY HE DIDN'T HAVE A WILL NOR INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT HIS ESTATE. DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU HEAR
I live in the Twin cities and met Prince at Sheik's night club at a table when he was with his dad. I'm shocked and glad I had the guts to approach him.
Prior to his death, in an interview Prince revealed that he could see himself moving into the position as a music instructor at some point. Imagine if he had lived long enough to get his museum aspirations underway, had it set up exactly the way he wanted it too, and during the tour, instead of a bunch of tour guides who are now being instructed by the tourists, (absolutely rediculous), it would be he himself at every exhibit, addressing the audience thru a recording device explaining exactly what these items were and are. Yes, in this way, as she describes, Prince would be in every place at the same time. He would have had the process set at a modest price, would have made sure the items would have been fiercely protected and intact so that nothing would have been subjected to abuse or vandalism so that all can enjoy the items. And in no way would it be a bunch of money minders running it. The entire exhibit would have definitely reflected HIM and his visions. Sad that he didnt get the chance to put all of this in a will. I too have been following Prince, his career and his music since 1978, and it would be great to tour the Paisley, but if the opportunity never evolves, I have something better that that rancid management can't touch, I have all his albums and lots and lots of unreleased material that I can enjoy online. And looking forward to the knee stuff yet to be released.
lowkey your comment make me wanna cry. as a new fan starting from nov 2021, thats how i knew him and ALL i will know of him: his music, MVs, concerts, rehearsals
I was there October 12-15, 2016. Paisley Park is a beautiful place. Ronchelle Ndegeocello you we're blessed 2 be able work at Paisley when you did. Sorry you're no longer working there, i can tell you loved your job and Prince.
Transgressions against company guidelines can result in immediate termination. It's up to the company/employer to decide what transgressions result in minor disciplinary actions vs. immediate termination. It doesn't matter if she was the best tour guide that ever set foot in Paisley Park, if she broke a rule that lead to immediate termination... she'd be fired. Her performance review, preceding the fire-able offense would've made no difference. She followed the rules until she didn't, and when she didn't she got fired. Whether or not she physically took photos with her own camera, it sounds as if she definitely was a participant in questionable activities with her peers. And as any Prince fan knows, he had zero tolerance for cameras. He made paying ticket-holders check their cell phones at the door before any and all concerts. So, it sounds as if the rules at Paisley Park remain respectful to Prince's own demands (which were VERY strict). Given that Paisley Park has become a museum, of sorts, it's surprising she was paid at all. Most museums utilize docents as tour guides (a.k.a. volunteers that donate to the museum). So, the fact that she was paid is actually complimentary to Paisley Park management. It's not Paisley Park's problem that she didn't have transportation. The cost of transportation is something she needed to factor into her cost of living when she decided to accept the position and the wage. Sounds to me like this girl needs to knock that chip off her shoulder, grow-up, accept accountability, and learn a "when in doubt... don't" lesson from the experience, otherwise she'll run into the same problems with future employers.
AGREED!!!!! You broke the rules, you got fired. This has nothing to do with ANYTHING ELSE but poor behavior. As she said herself, a white person was also let go.
What everyone doesn't understand is that their will never be another item worn by or touched by Prince. These items are priceless and the family hired the Graceland group to help preserve these items. They are the best in the business. If you go to Graceland you will see some of Elvis clothes he wore in the 1950's are still in pristine condition. Soon everything at Paisley Park will be encased in glass where no one will be able to actually touch it. All guitars, clothing and artifacts will be behind thick glass. This is a very expensive process so as soon as the estate collects enough money this will happen. They are looking long term for future generations and profit for upkeep. I am sure they are building or have already built a temperature controlled archives room to store items not presently on display just like at Graceland. There won't be any need for tour guides as everything will be on audio devices. They are basically trying to make the place run itself like Graceland. Lisa Marie Presley lives in Los Angeles and collects a nice fat check from Graceland every month. She only comes there for special occasions. This is where the Prince Rogers Nelson family wants to be in the future.
Word of advice: I've always worked in a corporate environment. And I hung out with about nine of my race peers, then the group became too comfortable, loud, and boisterous, and the crabs in the barrel behavior, etc. However, to avoid further drama, nine of us were let go. So when I went to another corporate setting, I was solo in the workplace, so friendships were on hold. However, I saw many others blow excellent salaries because they didn't know "The Corporate Game."
Sour grapes move on this was this mans home and even though it has been opened up per his request folks still need to respect the privilage to see his home.
Thank you for sharing. My opinion is that they need to look into what Prince was about truly. He had wrote slave on his face at one point, he is always talking about owning the masters. I understand there are upper folks now but the family needs to get in there and think Prince. He had diversity, gave people the chance to be free and creative, he did not do contracts and then here you have Paisley Park his home being ranned liked what sounds to me like what Warner Brothers was doing. Why let the elevator bring this place down. That is not what Prince was about, nor his music, nor religion. Lets not let his legacy be turned into what others say it should be according to their beliefs and thoughts, but what the TRUTH is about Prince and all he stood for. No scripts those are contracts, he had diversity, he was passionate about his work, he designed Paisley Park showing his creative inner self and making it have a certain vibe. Changing his home to a museum does not mean change who Prince was according to folks who may not even have known him. Those same people he spoke of that ran the muisc business and the majority had no clue about music. Let his legacy and home be free, emacipated! 💜
Marisol Prats Unfortunately NONE of that is going to happen!! Just watching the video ALONE is proof of that! Like she said, it's not Prince's house anymore, the buzzards have taken over!!! SMDH
Owning his MASTER TAPES, the rights to do what he wanted with his music, his legacy. The family DOES THINK PRINCE! He was their family! As for 'diversity', have you seen the original Paisley Park Studios staff? There are photos of them and tour crew, and guess what, no one, of any "color" complained, because victimhood wasn't IN a the time. The focus was on TALENT, hard work and great people. What was Warner Brothers doing? Explain... how is Paisley Park Studios being "ranned"? Do you have spell check on? "Ranned" was auto-corrected, you best be turning on that auto-correct feature in your browser! Because no you dinnnt! You dint just un-correct a non-existent word! Anyway, back to addressing your incoherence... What did Prince stand for? Explain? Because many of you obsessive fans seem to be making a CULT out of Prince fandom. Let me clue you in on something, Prince did have to sign contracts and draw contracts up for tours, concerts, merchandise, TV appearances, sign them, agree to them and had to create legal documentation to after bootlegging fans and harassers. Prince had to create contracts with the architects, the contractors and builders and recording studio designers etc. etc. when hiring them. Prince designed or had Paisley Park Studios built so he could record when he wanted, perform anytime, and at the same time allow him to have every part of his performances, recording, etc. all in ONE PLACE. What certain vibe are you talking about? His "home", I'm presuming you mean Paisley Park should not be free, you should PAY to enter, buy the merchandise and enjoy future releases. .::Modernaire
wendileona you should auto check yourself. You sit here and comment on everyone that voices their opinions that is different than yours it seems. EVERYONE ON HERE IS ALOUD TO VOICE THEIR OPINIONS WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT. Now you are free to agree with comments on here or disagree as well, but don't sit there and act like you are realted to the man and know everything. News flash, you are just another person who likes prince just like everyone else on here commenting. So have some respect if you are such a fan of prince. Yes, contracts are everywhere in life. Now did he sign them or did someone sign for him? It is not a secret that he did not do contracts. I have heard interviews where he speaks of them. So that is a fact stated in my comment. Now onto the Warner Brothers and owning his masters. Their are interviews of Prince himself talking about how warner brothers was controlling his music, how he should do things without him having say and what he was getting paid. It made sense. Basically the companies got three quarters or more of the profit and artists got a quarter or less sometimes. Now I don't know about you but since you like to talk tell me how can someone put a price on something they did not make or worked on? Put yourself in that situation. Would you like it if you worked hard on something you created and someone says we are putting the price on it not you. You may think your work is worth a million and the company says not, it is worth 10 bucks. Next, family. Yes his family is Tyka and the rest of the siblings. Now what I don't understand if they are family, and again he has mentioned this prior in interviews, he really does not speak with family. If I am not mistaken I saw an interview where even a family member said it too. Why if they were family would he not want to speak to them as mentioned. Must be a reason. So are they really thinking prince. Only they know the real answer. Moving on to staff and pictures you mention of. I don't need pictures or be educated in that department for I meet prince and was invited to jam with him and the music group. Let me tell you about them personally. PROFESSIONALISM, all around AMAZING muscians with so much RESPECT. NO MATTER WHAT RACE OR OPINIONS THEY HAD. You should try to go back and find references on the band members he had. Disciplined individuals with so much respect. You could learn from them some. Now I am sure you will sit here and read this and say yeah right, she is just like every other person or fans which, by the way Prince did not call them fans cause it stood for fanatics but friends, acting like she meet prince yeah right. Well again you don't have to believe it and you also can if you like to. Your free to believe or disbelieve anything you want. Now I don't need anyone to believe me for I know the truth and the people that were there with me that day know also. Finally to end this nonsense conversation with you. I never said Paisley Park, which by the way was Prince's home (a known fact) to be free or that it should not be a museum. I understand that there are bills to pay and his family knew Prince wanted to share what he created weather it is his music or Paisley Park in general with friends. That is why he had events there open to the public to come to Paisley Park. What I am saying is the follwing. Sometimes plans are made and need to be revisited after a bit to see if the original plan is still the best choice or can their be things addressed to make it better, or different ways to do things. Everyone knows that Prince was diverse, he was the one who ran the show and didn't trust people. He always talked about controlling your own stuff being music, art, whatever. So the family should just revisit this plan made to run Paisley Park again and see what is brought up, is this company the best suited for the job, or noone spoke about letting it run as a studio or a practice place, etc that all brings money in also and that is what Paisley Park was designed for originally, yet keeping in mind what Prince stood for. In case you are wondering, the truth and control of your own stuff, equality, good quality. That is all I am saying when it comes to Paisley Park Prince's Home. Be respectful of others and their beliefs in this matter. At the end there is no right or wrong just the freedom to voice opinions on this topic posted.
If they hire me I will work there for free …just being there is already enough for me ! Anyone who would disrespect My Hero will meet my alter ego Princefanatic !
I went when they 1st opened. Oct 2016. The urn was there at that time. I thought the tour was very organized and respectively done. Can not wait to visit again-an experience like no other! 💜💜
Prince never would alloy any pictures taken at Paisley Park. He even made people sign a disclosure agreement when they came in. They were taking liberties because they worked there. This is not right. Everybody is still trying to get a piece of his pie. Shame on you.
Prince was black. There's no multiracial listed. Prince parents were black. His mother though fair skinned in Louisiana she would be considered black. It's okay though. Y'all can have it at multiracial... whatever that means.
Funny they keep saying his Paisley Park is being run as a business. I remember the mid 90's when Prince fought Warner for years as they were trying to run a record business and he did not like that! Wonder what he would think of his studio being run as a business? Was his intention for Paisley Park to be free.. freedom for artists? Perhaps a music school would be better suited?
I think Paisley PARK SHOULD BECOME A MUSIC SCHOOL ALSO. PRINCE WOULD BE PROUD IF HE TURNED OUT SOME REAL LITTLE MUSICIANS. THAT WOULD BE APPROCIATE AND IT WOULD PRODUCE A LEGACY FOR PRINCE. HUMBLE IS THE WAY
I love Prince w/all my heartx... With that said there should be some creative ways to keep Paisely Park alive and well. There are operation costs etc. Prince is Prince not Elvis, thus PP shouldn't be ran like Graceland. PP needs to be more creative, cost sensitive, respectiveful, fun and yes run the business-side so the fun and spiritual side can be enjoyed as well.
@@lv41anothr60 ...... I believe that the Graceland company is no longer running PP. It is now being run by the family (or estate) and many like the things that are now being done. I thought they said that now people can keep their cell phones with them and use them. Not sure but many many are very impressed when they come off the tour. They all say it’s worth it. On 6/7/21 they will be unveiling a Prince statue too.
Great interview, wish it was longer. Some things about management I really did not like. I can just imagine it though. Kinda pained me to hear her say it was not Prince's house anymore.
Why would you spend your time listening to this tour guide fire empolyee versus listening to Prince music and learning more about all his amazing messages? How assbackwards. Where are you priorities? I'm out! .::Modernaire
Paisley Park has always been a music school, make it a music school, bring the talented, poor, rich, black, white, green. Where is the music??????????? It’s paisley fxxxing Park !
More people need to listen to what she said about this not being his family but the higher up people - it's his family who have taken the full brunt of any "money grabber" abuse - and, as in so many cases, the REAL greedy people remain invisible and above the fray.
Don't believe a word this girl is saying. Just listening to her interview I can tell you I doubt I'd be glad to have her as my employee speaking to tourists. That type of work requires a very narrow set of skills. In what world is clowning for photos at, what is essentially, a museum acceptable?
Of course she has a script!! She said “more deeper” at one point. You can’t be a tour guide talking like that. And for her to say it’s not his house anymore as an excuse for tacky photos she took part of. Just wrong.
I visited when Paisley just opened. Although it was very surreal for me to be there I felt that it was very unorganized and whoever opened it during that time was surely capitalizing off Prince death. I was very disappointed in the gift shop at the end of the tour. It was not restocked and all of the t-shirts were very old t-shirts. It's a shame that people are taking advantage of the situation but I know Prince is like whatever y'all selfish people can have all of that worldly s***
Wow I would love to go and visit the place and just see how amazing prince was when alive This is what he wanted to share his life It’s his house yes RIP
Robert Jackson PRINCE wanted Paisley Park to be modeled after Graceland business-wise when he passed away. When Elvis Presley died Graceland became a very profitable Museum tourist attraction for fans of the musician. PRINCE wanted this equally for himself he spoke of it. I've been a Prince Rogers Nelson fan from the very 1st Album experience long before Purple Rain...enough of a fan to even hear the Elvis Presley influences in songs like "Delirious" and the B-side song "Mr. Horny Toad" so to general PRINCE followers they wouldn't understand the "Graceland" connection.
Robert Jackson PRINCE wanted his musical studio/home to be modeled after Graceland long before his death. He was always thinking ahead. Even in his artistry you can hear some Elvis Presley particularly and songs like "Delirious" and "Mr. Horny toad" a B-side song. PRINCE had so many individual who influence him both musically and business-wise.
I Love Prince with all my heart, always very glad I had an opportunity to see him in person, and in concert he was truly, a handsome, beautiful man sad to see the money side of it,# Greed I do realize that Paisley Park was his home, I can go to the Getty museum here in Los Angeles, it was home to a very wealthy family, take some pictures, I feel if your not taking pictures for financial gain, why stop fans from taking pictures? do they advertise photos of the paisley Park museum to the public like the Hammer, here, Los Angeles? 1 day I may visit just to see his home, I think prince had parties, concerts there this would be closer for me I cried so much when he passed , I know I respect the artist the art, and the life of Prince Rogers Nelson Rip Bless. This Is what it feels when Doves Cry!
As a former Pixar employee I can attest to the shadiness and pettiness of corporations like this. After all the Sacrifices you make, the efforts you make to try to turn the culture into a positive place you get called into the office and let go with the wink of an eye. You know what? It was a blessing in disguise to get let go. I went on to bigger and better things in life. But It really did give me a huge setback for years. Advice? Avoid those places like the plague.
Companies are stalked by attorneys . They create rules and when they are broken they have to fire. If they don't that can lead to lawsuits for the ones they do fire. Don't try to make logic of of it, it's legal BS
@@youtuber6185 id just recommend to steer clear of the "big names" and work for just regular companies or the government where things are much clearer and transparent than hooded sneaky, sneaky and underhanded.
she mentioned PRINCE and that colorism aspect, many have spoke about that and its not hard to tell who he wanted on the frontlines. I went to Paisley Park back in November, awesome experience. It freaked me out a bit that you really feel his spirit
I visited Paisley Park back in July, and it was a an incredibly surreal experience - considering I have been a longtime fan of Prince since 1979. That being said, my only annoyance was the 24-year-old arrogant tour guide telling myself and two other women regurgitated information she had apparently memorized. I don't know why she was surprised that we knew more information than she could provide us. Like really?!? We're real fans! smh
Dyna They need people who were down alllll the way back, loved & still love Prince, that speak of him as an honor to represent & present his legacy. I'd either be beaming with pride to show the genius of this man or in tears, totally emotional to be around his greatness. PRINCELUV4EVER!!!
Dyna They’re not allowed to say anything other than what’s on their script. My good friend works there and that’s what she told us. She’s a Prince Fam too!
there is a line item where the employer must indicate the reason for the employment release, and employers often create a reason that has nothing to do with performance
I wouldn't want to go into his property. I would never go to Graceland either. I have fond menories of Prince and what he meant to me. That's all I need. I had fun impersonating him in nightclubs and the such. It was a lot of fun! He was Amazing!
It's a life changing experience. Have to remember that the place was designed as a recording/production complex originally, Prince moved into there as a residence later on. The spaces they show you are, for the most part, spaces that working professionals and invited guests would have seen during the hey-day.
I was her friend prince fan Facebook friends since 2009. She's a true fan from way back. She was in the prince fan loop for years. She knows more than just an average. She chose the job because she's a fan and I remember it meant the world to her to get this job. Rochelle was in the breakfast can wait prince video as a background back back drop she showed up for that.
Hoping Graceland doesn't alter the integrity of Paisley Park - and his family stays on top of things. Prince would want his employees to be supported fairly. Also feel like Prince would want to share his legacy - by allowing people to visit Paisley Park and be immersed in his creative space - especially his fans and Prince considered his fans his friends so no doubt he would want his friends to see his space and feel his energy, that will reside after such a powerful force of creativity lived there. Prince is definitely everywhere and omnipresent in his spirit form. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Prince believed in equality and would not go for any discrimination based on someone's race. No way!! I hope PP is not firing people based on their race. Prince would not be cool with that.
I don’t believe race had anything to do with it. She said it herself that a white person was also let go. She’s making it about race, when Prince was not like that at all. He was proud of his race, but he loved all!!!!
Since this recording, Graceland is no longer there as their contract had run out , and Prince’s family is running Paisley and has hired new management.
If she is B**ching so much then why is she upset for being fired. The photos I saw was very disrespectful and the people needed to be fired. Go on down to that Burger King and make that big money.
Smh @ these "fans" who said Prince wouldn't want Paisley Park opened to the public. He's been saying he did for years. It was made to rent out for use of the soundstage and studios. His private quarters were closed off. Renting it out, opening it for tours is really the best way to keep it in business. Prince knew that. It definitely needs to run better, they opened it too quick after his death but they also need time to make it better.
Prince would not approve I don"t think. I do believe that they are trying to just make money off his work. He loved what he did and this was his haven. However I will still be going with my grandson. I have to be around my Purple Prince"s things. Why oh why he didn't have a will and keep the money hungry mongers away from his legacy. Love you my Prince
Well, I think Prince WOULD approve. So, with all that music and all that work, with more unreleased and undiscovered even, do you think money should not be made? Just shut if all off like a faucet? Off like a light? What, do you want Prince to share the wealth? Just open borders like open up his vault and you can just stroll in and get it all for free because YOU don't want money hungry mongers near his legacy? Ever want something and wish you had the money? That would make you money hungry. And at that point you either get a job or not to get what you want. Making money therefore according to victimhoodies like you, is bad. Don't work then. And always cry about how other people making money are money hungry. I tell ya... .::Modernaire
I don't believe that Prince would approve of Gracelands management style. Sure he was a private person but the artist I knew was also a understanding and forgiving person. He actually cared for people. I used to want to visit PP but now I think not.
I hate the greed surrounding Paisley Park, but I want for the love of him, the peace I had, like visiting a deceased loved one. It was a beautiful experience. I wish u would try it as a fan, you'll love it.
All that talk about Paisley park being surrounded by greed, is so group-think, sheep mentality, with no original critical thinking involved. TOTALLY against what Prince showed through his music, that you should think for yourself, walk like you want to make it, you and all others that talk like this, are totally assbackwards its ALMOST comedic. But I do agree, I look forward to going one day, I make breakdown or just marveled in awe of all the things I studied, from instruments to clothing design, all the clues Prince gave me throughout the years, all there to observe in person and detail. Can't wait! .::Modernaire
This sounds like someone who broke the rules and didn't really work there for long. End of Story. On a different note right to work is not good... only people that likes it are people that arent under its control. Florida is a right to work state and corporate culture soul of profits over everything is killing the U.S. and the Arts in most cases.
Love Matters, Go where? No, forget the purple fantasy for a second. Prince would never have allowed such one sided biasness to take place at PP. Spiritual? Yes he was because of his faith in God is just that, spirit worshipped in truth. But he was also fueled by his own precious roots and convictions too and this would be a complete no no! This very instance has been a topic since man's creation and certainly one Prince spoke about often regarding his lifes work. If you have never experienced abuse, injustices and degradation on a daily basis as an adult, or child from any angle or degree because of color, you wouldn't get it anyway. This divide is wrong and obvious if the allegations are true.
Stella ufosighting Really? You Think Prince's family give a Damn about these Tour guides The Dollars are all they care about This Cat could have at least made Provisions for the Staff that helped to keep that place Running properly full time and they could make more at Burger King

I went April 14 2019 I had an Awesome white tour guide he showed us an Amazing time and he was very knowledgeable it was 2 hour tour we weren't rushed we had free reign I wanna go back it was so much to take in. I even got to experience some of Prince favorite snack foods but the Prices of souvenirs was really over priced I spent 468.00 in there and they didn't even have as much stuff as the New Airport Store both places over priced😳
They were acting a fool it wasn't about race they didn't have to hire them in the first place after you loose ur job play the race card unprofessional!
I would like to visit someday...I'm waiting for them to show more. Seems very limited. Timed. Most museums let you linger. It's annoying you can't explore right now. It's a big place and they really should allow more to show. Even if they need to glass out the doors. I feel bad they fired this fan. But I'm sure they were worried fans applied for the job to see more.
Prince would not have wanted a museum made of his home,he rarely left home before he died this is not what he wanted karma is a bitch when you go against the the person who this museum was made in honor of, and this so called museum will fold up and shut down, cause everyone and I mean everyone who knows who he is,knows he wouldn't under any circumstances want people fired and his employees and fans treated shit, and another thing unlike Elvis no one knows them (family) publicly so there's that this is truly sad.😢😢
You know I understand his legacy but Prince was all about his music and fans it's ashame that they are making out of money Prince is rolling over in is grave rip in peace Prince

Ronchelle was my tour guide in June when I visited...and did a fabulous job...very passionate. I feel so sorry for her.
Jean Hooe Did u take any pics? What was yr Fav part of the tour? Was Kurky J there?

This was longggg
Reality and we'll spoken PAISLEY PARK SHOULD REMAIN TO STAND IT WOULD BREAK MY HEART 💔 TO SEE THIS MUSICAL EMPIRE TO BE DEMOLISHED AS IF PRINCE NEVER EXISTED THAT WOULD BE SAD AND SHAMEFUL 💔 PAISLEY PARK IS OF HISTORICAL VALUE FOR GENERATIONS TO COME

Prince planned it to be a museum. Anyone who knows anything about prince would not disrespect him in his own house like this group did. Prince didn't allow phones in PP at all. Not in the door even.
I do not trust people that talk fast. They're usually lying about some things
Earline Titsworth - Makes one wonder how many of Prince's personal items were stolen.
@Earline Titsworth
Why did you feel uncomfortable about sitting on his bench
Thats the only thing I hated when they open Prince house up to people...Not respecting his house and telling things that probably shouldn't have. If anybody say they love prince would only show respect. 2) That's not a job to make a career. I just wish prince would have left instructions on his Estate, money, vault. SMDH...

Prince was extremely smart, calculating, business savy....
They took inappropriate photos during work hours.
Right...
Man that wouldve been the dopest thing ever. In life. Hands down. I like the way you think man. Brilliant.
lowkey your comment make me wanna cry. as a new fan starting from nov 2021, thats how i knew him and ALL i will know of him: his music, MVs, concerts, rehearsals
I agree also..she just doesn't want to accept she fucked up and it has nothing to do with anything but that..not color, not your past record.
AGREED!!!!! You broke the rules, you got fired. This has nothing to do with ANYTHING ELSE but poor behavior. As she said herself, a white person was also let go.
I'm so glad you made this comment, that alot of "us not, all" we were thinking. I wonder if she went and applied to burger King?
If i would have the chance to visit Paisley Park I would not take a picture. Just for respect to Prince ,,, but many people don't understand that.
Thanks for posting on TH-cam
Marisol Prats amen thank you

Unfortunately NONE of that is going to happen!!
His "home", I'm presuming you mean Paisley Park should not be free, you should PAY to enter, buy the merchandise and enjoy future releases.

wendileona you should auto check yourself.

HUMBLE IS THE WAY
OOPS BAD SPELLING
I feel that he would want music to still be created there.

I believe Ronchelle, about the Graceland HR folks. That was my first impression when I spoke with them last year.
She needed to go. Taking photos while on the job and posting them to social media is not cool.
Of course she has a script!! She said “more deeper” at one point. You can’t be a tour guide talking like that. And for her to say it’s not his house anymore as an excuse for tacky photos she took part of. Just wrong.

What does Grace land have to do with Prince estate ?
Robert Jackson Graceland Holdings runs Paisley Park.

@@pgaven9396 the government? Yuck … they are incompetent
@@youtuber6185 well....just sayin
@@pgaven9396 I hate big companies but part of the issue is the government and attorneys. And some employees are lazy users who sue for any reason
why would you work there in the first place. only giving you min wage and part of that was used just to get there. Doesn't make sense
she mentioned PRINCE and that colorism aspect, many have spoke about that and its not hard to tell who he wanted on the frontlines.
She was fired for goofing off. If she was hired while black she didn't get fired for being black
judasplow25 good point
Very interesting...
You can tell by her energy and condescending talk she wasn't fit for purpose at Princes beloved Paisley Park
jesus theres a podcast for everything
Prince would have gotten rid of this chick with the quickness, lol.
Hello to Everyone on here; & around the world; -> Stay Groovy
Hello to you as well ! 👍🏿
4:10 Did you seriously say "axe"? As an adult, and a professional that speaks for a living, how can you let yourself get away with that?
Since this recording, Graceland is no longer there as their contract had run out , and Prince’s family is running Paisley and has hired new management.
She's a damn liar. Burger King employees make minimum wage, so how can PP employees make less? Not possible.
Would not be surprised if someone tried to get a photo standing next to Prince' s ashes.
Skygazer I would've stole them and went to Vegas and had a "shot gun" wedding!
Skygazer They probably have already tried 😢
Skygazer the ashes were sky high inside the Atrium. No way pics could be taken. And now the Urn has been removed.
If she " exactly" s one more time......." we only saw what the people saw" , that's all you NEEDED to see. IDK.....
Exactly. Exactly. Exactly. I worked there 2 months. No i dont know when his first song came out. But i deserve something. U owe me something.
The question should be, was it against policy rules to take pictures? On duty?

Prince had a will. Do you really 🤔 believe he did not? Really?
I don't believe that Prince would approve of Gracelands management style. Sure he was a private person but the artist I knew was also a understanding and forgiving person. He actually cared for people. I used to want to visit PP but now I think not.
Wow a cold piece of work true Fred on her day off 🙏💜✝️
Paisley Park is now a museum and a shrine. You can’t be disrespectful to the artifacts. They got caught and then got fired. Case closed.
..I love Prince, but think this would be something he wouldn't like, and it would be a cold day in hell before I would take a tour there...
I hate the greed surrounding Paisley Park, but I want for the love of him, the peace I had, like visiting a deceased loved one. It was a beautiful experience. I wish u would try it as a fan, you'll love it.
But then again, maybe he does like now. If you don't go there, who cares?

All that talk about Paisley park being surrounded by greed, is so group-think, sheep mentality, with no original critical thinking involved. TOTALLY against what Prince showed through his music, that you should think for yourself, walk like you want to make it, you and all others that talk like this, are totally assbackwards its ALMOST comedic.
But I do agree, I look forward to going one day, I make breakdown or just marveled in awe of all the things I studied, from instruments to clothing design, all the clues Prince gave me throughout the years, all there to observe in person and detail. Can't wait!

..I down, if they get some descent people to run it, until then I'll experience his legacy through his music...
..so what's your angle, you make'n a buck from this some kind of way...
what song is that in the intro!!!! Funky!!!
This sounds like someone who broke the rules and didn't really work there for long. End of Story. On a different note right to work is not good... only people that likes it are people that arent under its control. Florida is a right to work state and corporate culture soul of profits over everything is killing the U.S. and the Arts in most cases.
yo! whats that intro song? I dig it

Prince family need to ensure that there are people of color are employed, if this is true.
Stella ufosighting that's probably the problem, they needed more people of color (black)
QUALIFIED, smart, hard working, ready to toil and be LOYAL and care about Paisley Park and Prince's legacy. If you don't you can be red, white, black and green... if you don't get that play on words, you's not a fan... you aint gettin' no job with no work ethic complaining about racism and equality. PERIOD. No wonder so many have no clue how to behave professionally, or at least with some kind of non-problematic non-victimhood attitude. Amazing.

Stella ufosighting I agree tyka need her ass beat Prince was a black male whom supported his black community thats like a insult to the black community
I'm sorry but why is this shit even on the internet? A tourguide who got fired while still in her probation period. Happens all the time.
INTERESTING INTERVIEW 👏🏽🤔😲
The word you are looking for is, morale !!!!
Why is Graceland in charge?
prince probably fired her
From the back ground.
It sounds like him.
Joyce
LOL..for talking to much...lol
Is the industry getting hungry for money ? Have they been faking the funk ? I'm changing my vacation plans, I don't want to see it anymore.
You should not have taken any photos.
This is an interesting interview and I appreciate THIS PODCAST AND YOUR COMMENTS ROCHELLE 👏🏽
We didn't even see the urn 😩
They were acting a fool it wasn't about race they didn't have to hire them in the first place after you loose ur job play the race card unprofessional!
so she got her 5 seconds of „fame“. and ‚exactly’ after 5 seconds i switched off.
2 months and she is owed something. Wow. What a leach.
This is probably the most expensive museum in the world!! I think it is a good idea but make the price affordable for everyone.
Nothing expensive about it…. Save your money if u don’t make much
I'm proud of you cuz for telling your side of the story.
I would like to visit someday...I'm waiting for them to show more. Seems very limited. Timed. Most museums let you linger. It's annoying you can't explore right now. It's a big place and they really should allow more to show. Even if they need to glass out the doors. I feel bad they fired this fan. But I'm sure they were worried fans applied for the job to see more.
what this lady did was highly inappropriate and lacked respect for Prince's death.
I can smell the bullshit even from here. Exaaactly, exaaactly, exaaactly.
Yo!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂 you wrong bruh!!!! You put her on blast about gettin fired on her day off 😂😂😂😂😂
Prince would not have wanted a museum made of his home,he rarely left home before he died this is not what he wanted karma is a bitch when you go against the the person who this museum was made in honor of, and this so called museum will fold up and shut down, cause everyone and I mean everyone who knows who he is,knows he wouldn't under any circumstances want people fired and his employees and fans treated shit, and another thing unlike Elvis no one knows them (family) publicly so there's that this is truly sad.😢😢
Man had t#4 rooms with thousands of dollars in it ... With not just band stuff money bag's
They knew the rules, had nonething to do with race
ASK CRAIG FROM FRIDAY HOW YOU GET FIRED ON YOUR DAY OFF!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩
You know I understand his legacy but Prince was all about his music and fans it's ashame that they are making out of money Prince is rolling over in is grave rip in peace Prince
Is she related to Nechelle Ndegeocello the great bass player.?
no
