especially when it's not anybody's fault. I know of one case, though, where a mother insisted her child wear a helmet while riding a 4-wheeler on the family farm. The father would say it was alright, even arguing about it with the mother ("He's a boy. He'll be fine.") Soon, there was a roll-over accident and the child died. Naturally, the wife blamed her husband. who wouldn't? Divorce came a few years later.
You are correct as far as I'm concerned but it's true that the death of a child for some reason causes the couple to break up. The couple that had Adam a young boy who was abducted and murdered separated. The Dad started America's most wanted and I thought why would they break up? I believe he said that whenever he looked at his wife it was just too painful because seeing her brought up visions of his son. After years the murderer finally confessed and Adam's body was recovered.
It is unfortunate, but it's very common. Parents can so easily get caught up in their own grief and neglect to support their spouse. When both parents feel alone in their grief, it can drive a wedge into an otherwise loving relationship that they often just don't have the communication skills to overcome.
@@sherrijones1598 And so she should. He was a lousy tight ass with the divorce settlement. I hope she reaps heaps. $$$$$. Better than throwing them on the front lawn.
@@sherrijones1598 What money?????. She didn't received any cash in the divorce settlement. From what I see & read no family members have received a cent......yet.
Just think if the baby would of made it would they still be together? She was young like many men they want to control and mold them. He didn't care about her belly 💃. He wanted her. I believe he loved her but when she couldn't give him kids he disposed of her. I believe they both truly loved each other but sometimes loves not enough.
Everybody's bitching because he isnt alive to defend himself, but she probably had to sign a privacy disvlosure or something in the divorce stating she wouldnt share anything about their life together. He had the money to sue the pants off her id she said anything. Now that he is gone she can finally share her story. I dont think she did this to shane him...because you hear it when she is talking. She still defended him about their son because she said he had a tour to think about. He wanted to move on and suppress his grief, by throwing himself into his work. He wanted to pretend like it never happend! It was cruel if him to force her to grieve in the same way though! She has a right to tell her side! The only thing I have to say is...no man, husband or not would have kept me from my dying child! And I can tell you I have been at the bedside of my dying son (he was killed in an attempted robbery when he was 18 two years ago) my father had yo pry me away from him and carry me...this waa just so we could transport him to the O.R. because he waa an organ donor. But i got to be in the O.R. till his heart stopped beating and then we were rushed out. No way would my son be alone in the end if I had a choice. She didnt fight hard enough..IJS. Mayte has had plenty of time to express her feelings - she divorced Prince in 2000, their marriage was pretty much over in 1998. She did get engaged to Tommy Lee, so would imagine she was able to express some feelings, some find counselling helpful too.
Honestly, I love his music. But he had some weird/bad sides to him. Fine. That deserves to be heard as well. There's no reason to turn a blind eye to that, just because you're a fan.
She's a lovely, genuine, nice woman. I'm glad she has a daughter. I'm glad she is getting her story out there. Just hearing her speak, I really like her.
Prince groomed Mayte to be his abiding wife. She was a young impressionable teen when they met and she began living with him, he was in his mid-30s. It was cruel of him that he didn't let her be with their son when he died. To make matters worse he made her pretend that their baby was alive on national television. Then to be so distant after her miscarriage is cold. That's when your wife needs support the most. (Edit- Prince also threw away their son's ashes and burned his things without discussing it with Mayte.)
Lisa R, it's a legal and acceptable practice. Amiir was her son and she should have been given a choice regarding what to do with his remains. Prince had a very cruel side to his personality.
Yes she has a Beautiful daughter and I'm sure she is also happy profiting off of Prince's death with her one sided book, money definitely makes folks happy it washed away all them fake tears she puts on for the cameras
I love that her love for animals is what stopped her from hurting herself. She knew that a little life (even a furry little one) still loved and needed her.
I don't even know if it was the love for her dog per se. Many people believe that dogs (pets) can sense things. There have been tons of stories from people who talk about how dogs (pets) intervene. I think the dog could sense what she was about to do and tried to stop her.
You're right about that! But you could tell that Mayte was afraid of him...especially during the Oprah interview....and he was holding her in check the entire time, answering most of the questions...you could tell she wasn't allowed to speak...
First time I have ever seen Mayte live. I like her-she seems like a very nice person who did not deserve what he did to her. Don’t get me wrong I am a huge Prince fan, but the public person and the private person are, often two different things. And it’s OK to like one and not necessarily like the other.
Her book is amazing. She accomplished more at 16 years old than most ppl do in their whole life. She's such a powerful woman and I'm so happy she told her story.
Absolutely. My love and I lost our son almost 4 years ago and although we had a great support system it still is a dagger in the heart when people mention it or us trying again. They mean well though ❤️🩹
I understand your point but it's a bit presumptious to measure someone's pain and claim that other people haven't hurt as much as you. You simply CAN'T KNOW it. Many people suffer from terrible illness, losses, grief. Also, at the risk of being called callous I would still say it's more terrible to lose a child you actually got to raise (for however time it was), I mean people lose their small and adult children to illness, accidents, murders, wars ALL THE TIME and you claim that those who lost babies (yes stil horrible) suffer the most of them. Listen to yourself and show to people the SAME empathy you demand from them. You simply don't know what cross each person carries. I suffer from clinical depression (yes it's not the same as losing children but to me subjectively it's a life of pain) - yet I don't think anyone owes to ''listen'' or even understand me simply because I don't know what THEY are struggling with.
I read the book. It's her story. Prince just happens to be a major part of that story. The story is told in a very respectful way. I don't understand why fans are hating so much on Mayte. Sheila E wrote a book. So did Devin Velasquez. Mayte's got just as much right to tell her story as anyone else. There are 2 ppl in a relationship. Equal parts. One side doesn't hold more weight than the other. Even if that other half happens to be Prince. Yes, he was famous but he was still just a human being. Just like Mayte and other individual walking this earth.
Amen!!! Thank you. I thought it would was told in a respectful way as well. I am finishing up the book now and I don't look at him any different. This was her story about her life with him; the good and the bad, and the ups and the downs. Like she said he was a GEMINI and I definitely know how they have those 2 personalities. He wasn't a God. He was a flawed human being just like us all. A lot of the content in the book is stuff the "real" prince fans should have already heard & knew about, she's just giving a more detailed account of everything. But like you said lighteyes214, some of these people think that one side does hold more weight b/c he is PRINCE. I LOOOOVE me some Prince, but I never put him on a much higher pedestal. He was an ARTIST/ENTERTAINER. Not a GOD.
lighteyes214 Yes.....I feel exactly the same way. I have not read the book yet, but am looking forward to reading it soon. I have always maintained that even if you were, Prince, the President, the Pope, or someone of the sort, you are NOT to be WORSHIPPED by me (oops.....sorry about that.....the Pope part)!!! I think you get my meaning though.....celebs, government officials, etc. I see human beings as they are.....human.....not to be put on a pedestal as your responder mentioned. Why so many others feel this way I will NEVER understand, and quite frankly, it angers me to no end.
lighteyes214 I've read it too and it's such a beautiful story that I wish he had let her write it when he was alive.. it humanises him so much that I even love him more.. he was not perfect but he was a good man with a good heart.. she is very respectful of him in the book and I wish people would read it before attacking her.. I wish her all the best following his death because she is clearly not over him.. I LOVE me some Prince and I'm glad she wrote their story..
Like Sheila and Devin, Mayte HAD a right, when he was living. That right should have been consciously and respectively revoked, when he died! She picked the WORSE TIMING EVER!! Tacky and Distasteful! Whether living or dead, STILL there's just some things that should NEVER be told!!
She was so young marrying Prince, Prince had already lived so much life he was nearly 40...so if he seemed controlling he was, sad so sad about the babies...glad this young lady moved on and eventually became a Mom.

@@rockssolid7471 She has a right to life too. I don't know what your beef is? I was a Prince fan too, and yes it was a tragedy, but as I said she didn't force him. His actions took his life, unfortunately.
I feel Oprah was in the wrong to have an interview with them after being aware of Prince and Mayte's tragedy of losing their son. That was quite caullous of Oprah.
I doubt she knew...He refused to accept it and even had the baby's own MOTHER not allowed to speak of the death, so....don't think Oprah was in on that kind of sickness...Prince was all to blame for that!
I personally believe their relationship fell apart because they lost two children. I also believe that if she had two healthy children with Prince, they never would have divorced. Prince's relationship with Larry Graham was the nail in the coffin. Prince was looking for spiritual guidance after losing both of his children & he was vulnerable. They both were. Their relationship never recovered after that. Reading her book, it's clear as day what happened. It's actually sad to realize that religion played a big part in their separation as well. smh If everything had gone the opposite way, Prince would still be here, I think.
That's true, BUT do you think any of that would have happened if they had the children they lost? Prince may have never become part of that religion, for those circumstances to even occur. I think he lost faith [in God & his relationship] when he lost them.

While Prince was a musical genius, he clearly led an emotionally vacuous life. She's a lovely person both inside and outside and seems quite down-to-earth. She majorly got a raw deal with Prince, and I am so glad she didn't succeed in committing suicide. I'm glad she was able to move on and adopt. It's a testament to who the normal one in that equation was.
What a great interview. Even though they had parted ways, she seems to respect and love him. I wish her and her daughter much happiness in the years to come. Thank you for sharing your story and giving us an insight to a musical wonder.
I see the innocence in both of them. I wish they could have found the words to comfort each other. She gave him, or attempted to, everything she could. This story resonates with me to my core. You don’t want to have gone through this with a man, and as females we go through self blame for things that weren’t our fault.
Mayte stayed quiet for a long time. Imagine how she felt on the Oprah show having to sit there and make believe their baby was alive. Imagine not being there when their baby died because Prince did not allow it!! I read Maytes book and she did not bad mouth Prince at all!
@Ca Da She was not there b/c she was emotionally drained. Someone had to do it. She did not appear that forced on Oprah. Prince had her banned from PP. That is fact. Look how quickly she jumped to Tommy Lee. My God she is so full chit.
Lorraine Rotundo Steele in her book she said she resents Prince for not allowing her to be there when their baby died. She also felt resentment towards prince for making her sit there on Oprah and make believe their baby was alive, her words from her book
@@purplelilac1387 Yes I heard it state such in her interview. Am certain she was completely emotionally and physically drained. Prince had to deal with it. Someone had to do it. She said herself what a difficult time it was. I did not buy her book. Nor would I. But she is entitled to her *story*.
In the interview here she stated that she could not have been able to be there when the baby died. Evidently Prince knew her well enough to know she'd never get over it if she watched the baby go. I understand what is in the hook, but time has passed and she may he seeing things differently. Most people would not let someone stand in their way, but she is obviously not one of them.
@@teresaclark5593 Exactly one minute it's Prince false and the next minute she is Happy he made that decision, she lies like a rug can't keep her stories straight
I think that people are being very harsh towards Mayte. To not be ab;e to speak your child's name, to lose another child by miscarriage and to have your husband set you up alone in another country as you and he mourn separately, had to be extremely emotional for the both of them. Prince was extremely private but he was also his most open with his relationship to Mayte. Events make people change. I always believed his was very spiritual but lost after having lost 2 children. He even admitted that he cried once when he was 12 after his Dad wouldn't let him live with him after his Mother. He said that was the last time he cried. I think he was an emotional wreck and neither of them had the tools to seek help (due to his desire for privacy). How do we know what Prince would have written in his book, it's all speculation at this point. There is no Official Record of an annulment on record. Mayte says in her book that he wrote it out on a piece of regular paper and asked her to sign it. She didn't want an annulment because in her faith (Catholic) that would have mad Amiir a bastard child and she wasn't having it. She was in his life for 11 years (most pivotal time of his life) that is why she was asked to be interviewed by networks after his passing. He clearly loved her but struggled with his new found religion and the obstacles of modern medicine for treatment of any ailment. He wouldn't even acknowledge the hop surgery that he had that got him hooked on pain killers. I believed her wished there were things in his life that he didn't do. He even mentioned it at an awards ceremony a couple of years ago. "You don't have to do all the crazy things I did to make it in this industry". Listen to the song "The Breakdown", watch his interview in 2000 when he says at the end of the hallway at Paisley Park there was a picture of he and Mayte embracing. He says he thought that was the end of the story. Long story short, I believe that where both madly in love with each other and just were dealt a bad hand and didn't know how to play the card that would have kept them together. I read the book twice, are there things that probably that shouldn't have been said, yes. But in order for her to make you try and understand this man and the pivotal turn he took after losing those babies, she had to tell the story as she did. I do not see him in a negative light at all after reading the book. I only wished he had be able to find a way to reach out for help for himself and Mayte the difficult journey THEY experience together.
Taja West: What Prince and Mayte went through with losing their son was a tragedy. I just think it's disrespectful to write a book about someone who is deceased and can no longer speak for himself. Mayte can say whatever she wants, because she's not being held accountable for anything now that Prince is gone. All Mayte is doing is "stirring the pot", which is exactly what she wants. You bought and read her book, so you are supporting something that Prince would not have approved.
That's exactly what I'm saying. She's wrong to even speak on him. They been over for years. Everybody living has lost someone due to death. All I know is she knew better when he was living. She reminds me of a Snake. Fake ass.A real women would have been spoken up when he was alive.
I love your response also. These commenters sure do hate her lol. Mayte did speak on Prince when he was alive though. She was on that reality TV show on Vh1 (while Prince was alive and well). At least on there she seemed to have had trouble getting over him. She had a lot of Prince stuff from their marriage. Obsessive enough to the point that the other ladies on the show asked Mayte how she going to date another man with all the Prince stuff around the house. Like I don't think she ever really got over him and rightfully so. Sharing two deceased children with that one man is a heavy bond even for an emotionally strong individual.
I think, like a lot of us, prince had a lot of unresolved issues from his childhood. His relationship with his parents was pretty dysfunctional and affected him greatly. I think this trauma for a lot of people is a 2 edge sword because it may have contributed to his success but ultimately brought him down. He was very complex and talented person. I'm glad Mayte Garcia is able to process her relationship and time with prince and see it as a positive and also a traumatic time in her life.
They both were hurting following the loss of the baby Amir. and it drove them apart because the didn't deal with they grief. Hurt people hurt other people. 🕊️ Mayte's book was finally her release she got a chance to say goodby to them both 💔💞💜💔 ☔

When I say this, I am referring to all the people, (specially men at the moment) who've fallen so far and their secrets so horrible that we're aghast at the behaviour they've gotten away with. Don't be overwhelmed by how bad a person can be! Be overwhelmed at the people who enabled it. We've all had relationships that went wrong, but no one puts us on a front-page, that's the difference.
betsy hughes What’s your point here!! ? you’re saying “especially men who’ve fallen so far and their secrets so horrible” ? What does this have to do with Prince ? Are you talking about R Kelly ? Prince was not a horrible person. Yes Mayte has put Prince on her front page but of course she’s bitter, Prince divorced her, she did not like him divorcing her. But he did and he walked away and he never looked back. No one is obligated to stay in a relationship with someone they don’t get on with. What’s wrong with the world today so many judgemental people taking the moral high ground smh
I dont think Prince ever stopped loving. He couldn't handle losing. 2 children and. Only a handful of women he truly loved and to maintain his faith through everything he has been through. You are beautiful Mayte. Thank you for sharing.
Good for her. Prince really did screw her in more ways than one. Mani got more in her divorce settlement than she did. Prince would have sued her if she had done this while he was alive bc he was controlling. He told everyone in his life what to do and if they didn't he sued them. Prince was her first love, and a first and only for many other things. She never stopped loving him, but he was on to the next as soon as he found his next entertainment.
She tried to release this book years ago, he put lawyers on her. She tried to sell his things, he threatened lawsuits/ She is a liar. Do not get me wrong, Prince even admitted that he made mistakes, I really believe one of them was her.
He had a mental breakdown or check out! I'm so glad we are openly talking about mental health in 2021. It's amazing how fragile and strong the mind is.
What a beautiful lady ...My best friend took his life and Purple Rain was his Funeral song ! Every time I see Prince or hear his voice it gives me comfort that Barry is around me in spirit ..
It’s so sad to think about how they pretended their baby was still alive during that interview with Oprah. I hope he is reunited with his baby boy in heaven now ❤️
I dont think he pretended the baby was alive.. He said .. "His family exist" . Even when one dies you dont stop being a family. He just did not confirm to those prying to know their private life, that he was no longer with them in the physical sense, that's all.
In a day and age that people write scandalous crap about deceased celebrities that the subject isn’t alive to dispute, I love the fact that she wrote a book about him that came from a place of Love. She didn’t throw him under the bus, it was just a memoir about their intense and ill fated relationship.
It was a money grab after his death and he wouldn't have approved. If it was just about their life together, why didn't she write it until he died? Their life together was over for some time
@@nfannig7847 I think she has a lot she still going through she would have never released it if he was alive that's for sure because he wouldn't let her she still living for him but her coming out with this book is helping her cope and be free of him as he was during your relationship. there's a lot more to it. There's no doubt she is sugar coating it and straight lying about how she feels about certain things cuz she doesn't want to throw him under the bus and she still in ways trapped by the relationship that they had. She says things that she has convinced herself to be true like how she couldn't handle seeing her child. Then she had to be corrected to realize what she was saying was wrong that's not how she ever really felt. She still sees him with Rose colored glasses but she is in pain still. this is her story and she should tell it, she deserves to heal.
I think she had the right to write a book about her life with him she was married to him and she shared her grief and her pain her story to help her finally heal.
I think it was just very sad for both of them losing thier baby considering the baby's health at birth. Blessings to to them. RIP ❤ Mayte your a beautiful person and have gone through heartache be happy and full of life from now on. I wish you well.
Maybe ask Mayte why she married a rock star? She does claim she didn't want to be in his harem, but chose to be so anyway. She was working as a belly dancer in Germany while going to high school, and her plan was to work in Cairo upon graduation, so Prince asked her to join the NPG. She could have found true love in Cairo I suppose, but seems she was more into rock stars. After she left Prince she got engaged to Tommy Lee. Seems to know how to work the death situations to her advantage though.

I think it's sad when couples separate due to the death of a child or children because that's when they need each other the most.
especially when it's not anybody's fault.

Prince groomed Mayte to be his abiding wife. She was a young impressionable teen when they met and she began living with him, he was in his mid-30s. It was cruel of him that he didn't let her be with their son when he died. To make matters worse he made her pretend that their baby was alive on national television. When a baby dies and people want to talk about it, you have to be an emotional support for them while hurting worse than you ever hurt.
Fcuk Her and that Book!
Long story short??
She seems to have a beautiful soul...

Yeah, but he was gay.
Her comment was not that Prince wore it first- her comment was that he could wear eyeliner & heels and still be (look) cool.

Their story so similar to the Elvis/Priscilla story it is eerie. Both guys in music business, both devote in their beliefs (or at least so they claimed), both older than their brides. Railroad ties run along the same trail neither could control their flamboyant nature. In all the attention they got, it wasn't enough. Little Richard wore eyeliner & was flamboyant. Elton John wore chunky heels & wacky eyewear. He is fabulously talented. There is a sadness in their immense talent & immense need of attention. All three are/were way out their & fascinating.
But didn't look like Prince
“The soul is the prize” - Prince
Prince was genius talented and wise beyond his years. It was a sad loss to the world; and amazing to think how prophetic his words were.
I’d like to share this, if I may. It was written after Prince passed away.
There's a dark side to everything,
The silent voices inside your head;
The never-ending demons that kept suffocating
Your hopes and dreams and all those sleepless nights in bed,
When fame was the monster
The beast that growled louder and louder,
And kept you awake
Seeking adulation,
Total capitulation
To sell your soul to the devil
Was a small price to pay
for immortality,
When consumed by your celebrity
Power and fortune
Why didn't your heart play a different tune,
And, dance to another beat with destiny.
R.I.P Prince
Why is it the average person insists holding celebrities up to the heavens most entertainers are damaged like the next person we need to see them as they are when they are not on stage but imperfect and not gods
Amy DiDonato Thank you. At least there somebody who got common sense than the mindless masses!!!
Exactly. Hollywood created that illusion to make more money. This larger than life god like persona. They are JUST entertainers!
Prince had a rough childhood, did we all? Yes. We are all damaged in some way, he self taught himself music to escape, he admitted he was not perfect. He never claimed he was a God . He only went home to the one he believed in.
He didn't hide anything. Prince was always private and spiritual. The death was so traumatic he couldn't talk about it much
You'd think people would figure that out, but they're spinning it like he was wrong. He wasn't.

He pretended the baby was ALIVE!?! 😕 Why??? Not letting her be there when the baby died is sick. He wouldn't let the poor girl mourn. He was clearly a control freak. I heard he was controlling from a professional point of view (like the vault lol), but at home too? Is this the chick that was a teenager when they met? And he also told her to lose weight and refused medical assistance? She seemed like an enamoured young woman who just went along with the craziness. I get that Prince fans are pissed with the book and think it's "unnecessary" especially now that Prince is dead, but I'm pretty sure much of her stories were already out there when he was alive. Also this isn't just some hanger-on, she was his WIFE and mother of his children. Sure it's from her point of view, but she's telling the truth. People have no empathy...
Jack Edwards: Those stories about Prince refusing medical care for his pregnant life are all lies. See, this is the problem on social media. That story you are talking about was from Prince's former nanny's/maids who were in cahoots with Mayte to trash Prince's name. Mayte was hurt and she said some nasty things about Prince when they split/divorced. Mayte wasn't exactly an angel. Get real. Prince got used and he was onto her. He cut her out of his life. Sure, he was grieving the loss of his son in his "own way". Don't judge. Mayte writes her damn book and gets everyone all twisted! SMDH Let Prince rest in Peace! Prince wouldn't be having ANY of this and it's just a lack of respect for Mayte to publish this garbage so she can make a profit off of her ex-husband's death? Who is the "heartless" and "disgusting" one here? Certainly not Prince! I'm sorry for what Mayte went through, but she has to come to a point in her life where she has to let go and move on and stop trying to cash in on the fact that she was Prince's EX wife!! SMDH at this nonsense!!
THE TRUTH HURTS
Jack Edwards I am on your side of supporting Mayte & her right to tell her story. I have to add I can see what Prince meant in that interview. He didn't lie! I see that there is beauty & love & support for her, respect for all if their privacy - & truth in the poetic statement that they "are a family." I feel that what he said was beautiful & made sense to me! I'm surprised by the amount of ppl who don't get how he meant that- not dishonest, but a loving statement
She's telling "her" truth. Prince is not alive to tell his own side of the story.
Jack Edwards perfectly said!
It is her story- reading it currently- and she has nothing but respect, love and realness in this book.

I went to see Prince on his Purple Rain Tour. It was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to.
Wasn't THE best?
I am proud of her and admire her strength to share her experience. I think she totally is genuine and the book is coming from an good place.
It’s HER story. She can tell it wherever and however to whoever she wants and it absolutely doesn’t make her less fantastic. It’s obvious to me that she has been incredibly graceful and intentionally protective of him regardless of the imperfections their relationship suffered and the heartache she lived. It’s so insane to me to be someone’s “fan” and that makes you feel validated to just dog out someone they obviously loved in an apparently perceived effort to be supportive of them...? I always feel supported when strangers disrespect people I love for things that are none of their business and unconfirmed to even be accurate. People are so weird.
the central issue is that she is selling her story based on an intimate relationship with Prince and the death of her child. If she were not married to Prince, do you think she would sell many copies?
Bit he can’t tell his story, and she makes him look bad in the book. Not that much in the interview.
@@stefanigreeneyes So it turns out your hero was a jerk sometimes. That's reality. You want to continue to pretend he was perfect and without any flaws, don't read anything and keep imagining him as whatever you want. But that's not real life.

Poor Mayte really suffered
The Mommy Ritual, Pepe Willie said it best, "Prince will use you, until he use you up, baby!"
Once Larry Graham realized Mayte wasn't down with the Jehovah's Witnesses thing, he used their fertility issues to convince Prince that Mayte wasn't the one. Prince was still married to Mayte when he started fornicating with Manuela, but Karma evened the score, because Manuela really stuck it to Prince.

chanel chanel, why do you think he used her and for what reason?
R R bc of the way he treated her especially once he met Manuela

Me as well Nicole Hayes; I thought of that lonely feeling when he died alone and how I would have loved for Prince to have had a moment with those he loved before he passed away; some stars have a place in our hearts and he was one of them for me and probably for you too.
He spen a LOT of time alone..Thats what you do when you are an opiate addict..ITS no big deal..He enjoyed his alone times..Many do..
I can understand why Prince wouldn't tell the media his son has died. They wouldn't have given Prince and Mayte a moments peace.
Exactly.
Stop making excuses for a fucked up artist. The man was flawed, more so than average and cared more about his religion and career than he did about the death of his first born child.

Totally right there. I've known & met alot of famous to very famous people, & they are who they are, not who you dream they would be. Now sometimes that's good, even great but then there are some 👎 and that's again who they are. We credit our idols, even our loved ones with characteristics that aren't real, & we allow behaviour that we shouldn't tolerate from anybody. But you don't have to be famous for that to happen it's just for some ridiculous reason we expect fame, fortune & talent to make perfection from ordinary people. Prince was a person, just a person. Like all of us the real him lived inside & he showed what he wanted to whomever he chose. We are all complex critters, most of us just don't have the world watching us.

@@shayshay37 I agree her and her mother were opportunist her mother said that she was going to get prince to marry her daughter by any means necessary But the plan backfired in their faces
I don’t understand why everyone makes a big deal about her when he had his marriage to her annulled.
My grandfather had his marriage to my grandmother annulled... It's just a peice of paper... Meaningless...
So disgusting to think of all the horrible things “prince” did to this woman
After going through all of that. It’s amazing she can function today. Terrible what he put her through. Kind of cruel don’t you think...
Her parents put her thru it chasing fame and money and it backfired in their faces
