I bought them in Spain, and RayBan doesn't even sell them with prescription, and don't support changing the lenses... but I found a web store in the UK which can make any lenses you want for the Rayban Metas, normal, transition, xtractive transition, with or without prescription, etc... it's called Lensology and it seems to work very well from what I've seen ... you will have to change the lenses yourself or send them to do it.. .but changing the lenses is extremely easy... just a little pressure and the lens goes out and in... there's tons of videos in TH-cam on how to do it... and you will save a lot of money... Opticians in my country charged me about twice of what I'm paying
What are the differences between theWayfarer, skyler, headliner models. I went to lens crafters at my local mall and it seems like they didn't know either.
Its just the style, no other differences (from what I've researched) - personally the Wayfarer, what I have, is the more traditional Rayban you might be used to and I THINK, it's the best
They smart glasses have created a lot of interest in the blind community, as the photograph description is very useful to the visually impaired. The meta artificial intelligence aspect is not available in the UK, so if a British person buys them, they have to go onto a vpn and choose the United States option then open up the meta app and the artificial intelligence part of the glasses will come on. And then you just go back and close the VPN down, and your phone knows it’s back in the UK if this makes any sense.
I’m blind and own a Guide Dog (Seeing Eye Dog for US audience). I know the glasses are accessible with iPhone and Voiceover. My use case will mainly be capturing taxi refusals I encounter with my Guide Dog, it’s against tthe law to refuse in both the UK and US so no arguments please. Is it obvious to people you are recording them? I do tell drivers I am if they try to refuse and that I’ll use the footage for evidence. I’m thinking that if people can see thy are in record mode, it might actually act as a deterrent and I may get less refusals. I have other ruse cases too but, if anyone can helpfully answer this I’d be really grateful.
@@vipodcasting yeah that’s a great point, and it is kind of obvious that you’re recording people as there is a light that goes on, but if people don’t know the technology, then they won’t know the difference Overall, I think there is some proven that need to be made, but it’s pretty great
Make a Video about your hopes for these. Landscape Mode. Maybe pro glasses with two cameras that can merge Images with ai for big landscape Mode or 3D Capture. Better battery life.

So I have a lot of questions regarding this. Anyone here can answer those. 1. I'm going join a medical school as an undergraduate doing mbbs for a span of 5.5 years and I want to make content regarding practicals that we do like testing blood group, cheakin stuffs in microscope, taking classes, moving around in the hospital and doing various stuffs. Will it be the best for me to invest like 350 dollars on this. I'm asking this because most med students do vlogs but in most case that are not of pov one. They either use an iphone which I think isn't better than this as a fpv perspective. 2. I'm currently using power lenses so can I change or can the company give power glasses attached to the specs instead of making it a sunglasses. And I can't see things way clear without my glasses so if it provides power glasses then that would be awesome. 3. How long can we record? As said in this video it's 1 minutes and that's fine for yt shorts. Give me further suggestions and if possible tell me how can I get it into India
Personally these might work good for you. I will say this is an older video I did and sense then they've updated the software to record up to 3 mins. ALL by handsfree so you just say "meta record video" - which means if you're hands are full you can start and stop video by voice. Overall, I have little complaints about these and think they're the closest / best thing we need in the space.
Great question, I don't think you "have to" but it'll prob auto-create one as you need to have a log in to save things. But technically I think you can get away without having one
1.Visually impaired children are partially blind. 2..They cannot see very well. 3..If they can wear glasses with AI features that can talk back to them plus also take photos and videos which they they can download and access later their lives would be tremendously improved. 4.But if the glasses are too big for their faces this can't be done. Here is a suggestion for you: Tie some dirty cling film, or clear wrap, around your face and eyes so you don't see very well. Then see if using smart glasses with AI features plus ability to take pictures and videos would help you.

@@theberardo Rayban Metafarer already compares favourably to smart glasses costing 2k and above for the visually impaired. The market isn't small and since in the US at least the costs will be picked up at Federal and State level there will likely be a high percentage o visually impaired people getting it.
@@theberardo yes, not through ray ban ofcourse, I went to an independent optometry, got my formula and they told me they have changed several times the lenses on rayban meta glasses. I got mine changed last week and the glasses are working perfectly.
I hate portrait mode videos. Let the user choose what format to use! Some like portrait, some like landscape. But to force portrait upon everybody.. No deal.

I’m looking into getting a pair soon. I use prescription eyeglasses can I go and change the lens on these Ray Bans Smart glasses and will they work if I change the lens to prescription lens.
Maybe it's because of the lens grade. He seem to have a high eye grade that requires thicker lenses, therefore creating the white lines on the edges. There's a tech that trims down the thickness of the lens that would cost extra, but I doubt if there's a similar option in rayban's website
Battery life actually isn't bad IF you disable Hey Meta feature. With this and listening 40% or lower volume I get right around 4 hours straight bluetooth audio. My hope, is that next gen we get a substantial boost to battery life. I think 8 hours use would be would I would prefer over more "performance". I am sure by next gen silicon comes out they can get closer to that number. That being said, they charge VERY fast. About 15 minutes from dead to full is my average. At most I have seen it take 20 minutes. Now that AI has gotten so much better, I found myself using these features WAYYYYY more. From simple questions to more complex requests. I firmly believe, these are the first step towards usable XR glasses. Imagine being able to be fed real time visual data on certain things like natural translation (someone speaking to you in spanish and the glasses relaying in english what's being said). If we could fit all of that plus hands free apps I use on a daily basis into these I would drop my iPhone in an instant! I hate relying on a phone and could see myself using a smartwatch and smart glasses to stay connected.
Good question! TOTALLY CLEAR... I'm using them in this entire video (to give you an idea) then when you got outside they're like actually shades (more references in first video) Hope that helps!
I don’t get the hype, why are all these reviews so positive, the audio quality, while not bad, it’s subpar, listening to music is just painfully bad, especially if you compare them to AirPods. Always portrait camera is like yeah only good for a quick post to social media, and the new AI capability, really I can see that I’m looking to a pond with grass … I know, I know it can do more clever stuff like telling something interesting about a building or so … at least they are OK sunglasses and a relative ok handsfree headset … But I prefer my Pilot sunglasses from Ray-Ban and AirPods, 10 times over …

Asking AI what you're looking at while not being blind seem very gimmicky? If you don't know what you can see then you have bigger problems than a pair of smart glasses... IJS Translating languages makes sense or being able to summarize text or extract specific data from a paragraph or locate a item for sale by image alone or identify an ingredient by looking at label would be actually useful. If you can perform them type of tasks that would be helpful.
These things are HORRIBLE. Mine worked about 2 months, then could not download images. Some update to either phone or glasses broke the connection. Lost ALL photos and glasses NO LONGER connect. RayBan technical support is clueless. Reading scripts and providing no support. Meta support does not even exist. Reddit has hundreds of horror stories about connection issues and losing photos. Avoid like the plague.
On Tin Kuk's watch, I doubt it. Even though it is a fashion item, Tin Kuk is too elitist, probably would sell them with a higher price if he pulls it thru.
Vertical format killed this for me. If it would have had even horizontal 4:3 format I would be interested, but TikTok Instagram bubble world doesn't interest me nor anyone serious on this planet. Wish the people of Gaza had these so they could be filming the genocide without risking their lives though.

I wouldn’t wear them to work because I wouldn’t want my coworkers to think I’m a creeper. 😂. Like seriously. @@bogdanmarcu135 not right now, everything is done custom. With Ray Ban
@theberardo I was at lenscrafter yesterday and I tried them all on and I think I like the version of frames that are more squarish
Can AI it identify like well known structures or buildings and tell you what they are?

If they got stolen, can be track like I Phone???
Hmmm, good question - to my knowledge. No I dont' think you can
They smart glasses have created a lot of interest in the blind community, as the photograph description is very useful to the visually impaired.
That would be an amazing feature they need to implement
