I got the Sumo back about 5 years ago back in the "golden" age of Seiko when prices hadn't inflated. I think I paid like $400 for my Sumo new from Amazon. Great watch. So comfortable. I don't think I'll ever sell it.
I have both of these, only my Sumo is Green. I personally do like both, I’m a big fan of these designs. The MM300 was a grail of mine, I pulled the trigger late last year. I’m very happy with the purchase. It’s up to the individual if it worth the price.
Sumo everyday for me, not so chunky as the MM300 I have tried it on at the AD, ITS as thick as the Deep sea, I have the Jade Sumo, WANT to get the Classic black Dial, Sits Low, love the Dail, Very Legible, Had it serviced thru Seiko Australia, its a Tank 😃
It’s definitely thick but not on the level of the DeepSea , I have both and the DeepSea is almost 3 millimeters thicker and an absolute unit , it’s also at least for me is an absolute doorframe magnet , it’s hard to describe but the MM300 wears smaller than it’s specs but definitely still a larger watch than most

Sumo will be a future classic, Seiko Diver
I own the sbdc033 Sumo/Blumo and my favorite and best watch I own. I definitely hope to one day acquire a Marine Master 👍🏻

Green sumo vs mm 300 (green or blue)… which do you tend to wear more often?
There's a huge difference between the movements and the level of finishing between the two watches.

owning the Sumo, a great deal.
loving the MM, but not sure if it worth that price .. :-/
I got the Sumo
Is the lug width on the MM300 20mm like the Sumo bracelet as well ?
Yes it is.
One costs three times the price of the other so I'm not sure that people will be deciding between these two.
All in good fun 🤩
This is like comparing a Porsche 911 ti a VW golf. Both good cars but absolutely no comparison. MM300 is far superior.
Yeah, but Porche 911 much better value than bulky overpriced SLA021 Seiko.
@@einopoutiainen9996ok bro… 😂
