- Hello and welcome back to my channel for another video. Today we will be doing an unboxing and review of the Hot Toys Robocop 3. We will also be doing a comparison of the new Robocop 3 to the original Diecast and see the paint differences and if collectors made to much of a big deal of this.

I have all versions, 1st with chair, battle damaged and this one and I am happy as I really need the jetpack for complete collection of robo.
This is the first video I've seen on this figure and wow, I'm really really really really tempted to pick this one up! I'd love a Robocop in the collection! 😀 I didn't care much for Robocop 3 so I'd definitely have him displayed as a Robocop 1 figure so it's great that they include the Peter Weller faceplates. Can't go wrong with a bit of Alex Murphy have him under the telly not in the United Kingdom's best Star Wars collection room .

The first one was the very first figure that got me into collecting. The paint job is way better on this new one. 👍
The purple on the back of the head sells me. I still have the original silver one. I think mafex is the only one who made a proper robocop 2 blue color figure
Hot Toys nailed the new figure, it's such an incredible figure and I'm so glad they released it again. Pity Sideshow didn't give us the damaged helmet as well as the chest and the stand is a bit strange with the squashed OCP logo. But thank goodness they released this figure again.
It’s a great one for sure and even having the first one it’s robocop, we just don’t see these releases enough anymore
@@mr.momcollectibles Yes I totally agree,I just got mine hours ago (thanks Sideshow) and after having to sell my first Robocop I love this new one. As far as I'm concerned the paint is perfect.
Notice on both figures, on the triangle shaped detail thats located between above the chest and the shoulder on each side there are 2 dots. These 2 dots were only present on Robocop in the first movie. A minor thing I know.
I don't like the gun holster, it's not very movie accurate and you have to angle the leg and the shin in certain ways to open it. In the movie, the butt cheek doesn't flap open, a flat piece on the side lifts up instead.
The outside daylight comparison is much appreciated!
It looks great, still not as blue as what was initially promised. I have a feeling they will do a Robocop 2 that is actually blue so they can cash in again. I think the complaints are warranted for a $400 action figure. I own the first and love it but wanted the rubber joints updated to something sculpted and plastic like mafex did. I actually like the look of the og in the daylight clip. Thanks for the review, great seeing the comparison.
It really depends on the lighting as you see it changed from inside to outside and the blue is definitely there. What they toned down drastically to me is the purple. The very first proto photos it was very very purple and the final they dialed it back a lot. The color is going to be subjective to me personally even people have issues with the OG not looking metallic enough. I’m in the group that HT isn’t showing enough love to 80s IP’s so when then come along grab them. This can be said if we ever get terminator or preditor figures again or even aliens.

A very nice figure think it should have Robert Burke face as he was number three. Heavy the parts broke but glad y'all fixed them some nice accessories.

Dean Knight made a point in his review that the arms can't go as flush to the body as the first version without leaving a gap at the shoulders. Do you find that as well?
I mean for me personally it’s subject I’ve noticed in many reviews that’s a big thing for dean is how flush the arms can get to body. I remember the first video I ever saw of his was the Infinity War Spider-Man and he spent almost the entire review talking about that. To me the Robocop is fine the way it is I mean it’s a Robobot so the arms really shouldn’t sit that flush. This was a detail I wasn’t paying attention to myself because it wasn’t taking away from the figure. I looked back at the video I made and it looks comparable to the original. Also I have mg Robocop 3 display with the jet pack so there’s that.

This one I wouldn’t sleep on even having a Robocop already I had so much fun with this new one.
Also waiting for them to come in and not pre order. If possible get a deal, if only on shipping, and making a purchase.

This is a nice figure. A little lazy on hot toys part. We literally got the same figure on the last release. They just added the jetpack which looks freaking awesome and the gun for his arm. I'm sorry but Peter Weller Robocop 1 and 2 all the way for me. They should have gave us a robocane or a clarence boddicker.
Either way it's an opportunity for people who missed out on the diecast originally.

I was thinking it kinda sucks it doesn’t have the voice activated thing but I never use mine anyway lol
My kid loves the voice feature and it's the only way I can let him play with my robocop cause he's still too young to handle this figure carefully. It's better to have it and not need it than want it and not have it. It wouldn't be a bother if they used a new part but they recycled the chest piece with the speaker hole which makes seem cheaper than the first one.
Robocop 3? Nah, they never did a Robo 3. Everything stopped after Robocop 2, definitely no 3 and absolutely no silly series with terrible effects like a gray skull cap for his head. Thank God there was no 3, they might have done some silly stuff like give Murphy a Jetpack or have some kinda ninja robot. It'd be so horrific that Weller might not come back even. So glad they didn't do that.
Haha I hear ya, I can even say Robocop was a stand alone lol but I can't deny Robo 3 was my introduction...that and the cartoon show.

Same my only 2 “issues” was not having a better dynamic flight stand and I wish we had sculpted hands to hold his gun instead of the articulated fingers
