Dr cheung, im fr9m d philippines, im 4 weeks post op sphincterotomy, hemorroidectomy. 3 weeks i felt ok. Suddenly flash floods i become stressed. I just felt swelling along sphincterotomy incision and swelling around anus. Ouch. What to do? Hopeless here...
Dr Chung, you helped me with my anal fissure. I could barely stay at work it was so painful. You actually didn't do any physically. No surgery. You referred me to a pelvic floor physical therapist which helped me so much. I feel so much better and they taught me to use my own finger to relax my sphincter. My fissure has not come back. Thank you so much for your help and for giving me my life back.
Thankyou so much for sharing your story, it gave me hope, I am at the point of seeing my doctor, finally , I am struggling with anal spasme and fissure for months now, using laxaday for months, doing all the things to prevent , even went to a therapist just recently and just started exercising, but I feel like it won't go a way , my bottom end tissu are so fragile that each time I go for a number 2 , I go in pain for hours now. Do you think I still have a chance whitout surgery? and can laser surgery can be used for fissures? Thanks again for what you do it's comforting.

Hi Dr Chung. So glad to have known you. Is it normal for a fissure to bring pus always 😢. I have been managing this fissure for about 2 years which has refused to heal, all thanks to you. But the pus is getting me scared. Is it time for a surgery?

Your videos helped me through my hemmy surgeries. I've suffered from internal prolapsed and external hemmies. Pranicura saved my butt and my sanity. Thanks for all your videos ❤ and information you have provided me, I feel like I went into my surgeries with knowledge and enlightenment and was able to have a solid conversation with my Surgeon and I tell ya he's got skill, which I'm positive you do as well. I actually see a Rectal Surgeon 😷❤not a Gastro or General Surgeon. I think that choice made a huge difference in recovery and the surgery itself. Thank you so much Dr.Chung for all your help! I’ve recently have went through a Hemmoroidectomy and man your videos have helped me ask my ask my doctor questions and get the supplies I need for the recovery! I’m 5 days post op writing this post/comment. It’s still very painful but listening to your videos have given me comfort knowing it’s all up from here (hopefully). To all currently dealing with the same. Listen to this man he’s a doctor everything you’ll need to know he says with easy understanding and compassion
Thank you for all you do. I am very embarrassed to write this but want to help others. Mine are so bad I even wished I could have an ostomy bag at times or an anal transplant. Because I have kidney disease I am not advised to take NSAIDS. Out of desperation I bought a tiny metal butt plug. It’s an introductory one lol. I’ll never use it for that use, but the pressure really helps beyond words. It’s like putting a finger on a throbbing vein. This has been the best thing I’ve ever found. I’ve tried everything, multiple surgeries and saline injections, etc. Good luck everyone with your situation.
Man, I never really comment on videos but felt I need too this time. This Dr. is the real deal. I am on my 3rd banding procedure and find my self always coming back for moral support. I also laughed about the son coming over to ask what’s going on while you pee 😂…. Living my life man! With 4 kids, they also are curious when I am in the restroom. Dad… why are you standing to pee? Dad, why do you have a beard down there…. Dad? 😂 I feel you Dr. as a father it’s our duty to teach them these things but some times we lack the timing and maybe are not exactly comfortable our selves talking with them on these matters. These videos have made it a topic we discuss at home. It’s important to me that my kids know that this can become a larger issue and not to take their devices in the restroom when doing their business. They know of my issues and they are doing there business faster than ever these days 😂. God Bless you Dr and keep up the great work! Ryan
This was so good and the way you explained it was entertaining and funny, with your son as well. It’s comforting to know that we’re suffering and having problems the same as others, even yourself. It helps so much that you can be so honest and up front about your own health. We all get it. Thank you Dr Chung for all your advice, tips and support through all your videos. They really do help if not completely cure. It’s the worst pain I’ve ever suffered and healing is definitely a marathon not a sprint. It takes months and months to improve. Then mine takes backward steps. I have to really regulate my diet. Any slight over eating and I’m back to square one. It’s grim. I feel that I’ll have this extremely painful problem for life sadly. Any treatment I have seems to make it worse and more painful. But thanks anyway.
More power to you Dr. We are all in same situation. We all can feel you and that is the reason you can feel us. I hope one day we all get back to normal life and remember these talks as memories. INSHA ALLAH
You have helped me so much. Where are you located? I have never been to any doctor anything like you! Watching you has taken the scariness away and I have a lot going on. Thankful I found this channel. I would travel across the country to see you.
Dr Chung, Wow, I thought I was the only one that pushes on the perineum area to get the remaining pee out. Of course, I started doing it when I started getting enlarged prostate years ago and I wasn't emptying out completely during finishing. It works pretty well for me personally. Cuts down on or practically eliminates on any dribbling afterwards.
….bandings and hemorrhoids and fissures! Oh my! 😂 Dr Albert, you couldn’t have delivered your humble, authentic message any better. Thank you, we love you. ❤
Thanks for sharing about your own journey. Really grateful for this community! For your fissures, what is it about those fruits that causes your relapse?
Excellent series of videos that so much match and address the hemorrhoid related issues I've been experiencing for years. I feel like no doctor I've seen fully understands, in a compressed time period, what I'm explaining to them … plus I can't find any in my area (NJ) that offer a range of minimally invasive procedures to treat. Local proctologists seem to jump to full surgery, which seems excessive for my Grade 2 symptoms. Maybe Dr. Chung can do a video where he offer tips on how to find the doctor best suited to understand and treat hemorrhoid problems … not just the type of doctor (proctologist or gastro) but what their credentials and association should be. e.g. - Private practice, group, hospital, med school, etc. Would be great!
I can surely relate, doctor. I have spasms few times a year as well. Only once did I have an internal artery ligation but had 16 or so trombectomies. Had a multiple marisectomy last month with post surgery complications unfortunately due to hard stool. Now I'm having horrendous scar development issues as they are rough and 'scratch' exactly on the inside of the ring, and the entire area itches like crazy, especially in the evening and at night. I'm going nuts and losing sleep over it. Although Diltiazem helped repair the wound tearing caused by severe obstipation that had to eventually pass and messed up my entire post surgery which was going so well, it is nasty stuff that causes itching out of all proportions. I tried so many ointments to deal with the current itching, but only tonight did I discover bactroban definitely helps!! But I absolutely need to order pranicura. I'm always in pain, itching and suffering in that area. I have one skintag left but I never want to have any surgery down there again, a marisectomy hurts like hell!! A trombectomy is a walk in the park compared to that. I just hope the scars itching is only temporary and they'll soften up over time. I don't want to live with this nightmare for the rest of my life. The marisectomy just had to be done because they were huge and I was in permanent pain and couldn't sit at all. Now at least I can sit for a while which was impossible before. I'm really worried about the current follow up of my latest surgery though....
When I cut out carbs and sugar everything down there settled down a bit…. You just have to ask yourself if it’s worth it after you eat/ drink it… And sometimes it is! Lol ….I have everything you have plus a new little friend called a rectocele…it’s a lot!
Thank you so much doctor chung! After suffering for a few years now i finally saw a doctor and told my fam about my "embarassing" end. I will go see a specialist too😊😊. I also discover that when your in so mych pain you couldnt care less of whoever knows 😅.
Doc what gives, if you're suffering from inflamed roids partaking in long stretches of mountain biking can't possibly be a good idea for your "no-no zone" and I didn't even need 4 degrees to come to that conclusion. LOVE your channel, keep up the amazing content!
Dr. Chung, can you please do a video for people who have Bile Acid Diarrhea post-cholecystectomy? We usually are put on a bile-salt sequesters medication and struggle daily with either constipation or loose stools and the ramifications of those side effects.
With the movement you were speaking about after you urinate, that cause so much pain. It happens to me as well. I also get the same pain and tip. I noticed that I can control and relax the muscles in that area while urinating sitting down. I can slowly engage the muscle. From all the practice doing it sitting down, I can now sometimes do it standing up. So slowly I'll soon have full control of it.
Just found your channel today. 2+ years hemorrhoids but lately I have an urgency to pee when I’m standing. But when I go, it’s minimal. Was tested for UTI; negative. Is this normal or a sign of internal inflammation from the hemorrhoids? Thanks for your candid, honest talks, they are very much appreciated 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
P.s I have those contractions when urinating. The most painful quick sharp feeling ever. It's like the contraction takes over your whole body in a split second
It sounds like I have what you have. It is the most excruciating pain I’ve ever felt. I was doing good and then today I ate some papaya and have been miserable ever since. I found apples and oranges work for me and to eat very little.
Two things: 1- Did you decide to become a proctologist because of your own personal issues. Or did they start AFTER you became a Dr.? 2- If you have fissures that often I would recommend something that works for me. Use a small enema bottle with plain water or water with a drop of mineral oil to make things slide out easier for about one month every time you go. Maybe that will allow your skin to heal to a point that it can take the pressure without cracking or rupturing.
Hips store trauma is true.I think the reason is mental stress , trauma , anxiety also. Coz a lot has been going on in my life and i started overthinking and going into depression and it started then i just didnot realise.
Dr. Chung, I have had an anal fissure for the past 3 years. It just reopens from time-to-time. At age 67, I won't have surgery for fear of incontinence. I may try Botox. My question: For those like myself who chose to live the rest of their lives with an anal fissure, what is the risk of developing an anal fistula? The fissure is an open wound, so I'm worried about infection and anal fistula. Thank you for your videos. You are a great asset to people who suffer from these illnesses but can find little media about it.

Ive had these horribke things fir 5.5 yrs ive had two lots of rubber banding and theyve failed, hence the reason im booked in for a hemmorrhoidectomy on tuesday eeek recovery scares me but your channel is so helpful ill be using all your tips and tricks
Thank you for sharing your story. Pain, disease and physical or mental pain apply to all human beings. It's true when you mention that anal pains come back.... deep breathing and learn to relaxation are big help. Keep up with your videos. Always nice to see you. Great doctor!
Have a Blessed Day ❤️ keep up the sharing of your own symptoms and your knowledge you provide through your videos they are tremendously helpful.❤
The way he laughs about poop and butt talk just makes him so infectious!
Dr Chung, you’re so Amazing!! I admire you.
Thank you for listening!
BEST DOCTOR EVER
One of the best Doctors i have come across. Has a heart of gold and shows genuine compassion for the patients that he deals with . Thank you
Dr. Chung, thank you so much for this channel. Your way of sharing the information is just the best on such sensitive topic
Good morning Dr. Chung. Thank you for all you do!
Thank you for listening!
Yeah, I agree with a previous post…. A book from you and your perspective would be a treasure. 😊
Ryan
what an amazing video. a doctor with a mission to help others. I hope you can heal by sharing as well.
Thank you for listening!
Fascinating! We think , or maybe it’s just me, that Doctors have never had medical issues. I know it’s dumb. Good luck.
I know what you're talking about!
You're so nice and kind and very relatable. Everybody can identify with what you are saying. Keep up the great work! You're also funny! We love it!
More power to you Dr. We are all in same situation. We all can feel you and that is the reason you can feel us. I hope one day we all get back to normal life and remember these talks as memories. INSHA ALLAH
Thank you for listening!
Thank you for being so honest. This is new information for me!
Love it - that you as a proctologist also have the same problems as your patients.
You have helped me so much. Where are you located? I have never been to any doctor anything like you! Watching you has taken the scariness away and I have a lot going on. Thankful I found this channel. I would travel across the country to see you.
I love your honesty…thank you so much!
I liked the personal spin so much Iordered the cream. If you trust it, Let's give it a try!
Best to your recovery!
God I wished he was my Doctor!
….bandings and hemorrhoids and fissures! Oh my! 😂 Dr Albert, you couldn’t have delivered your humble, authentic message any better. Thank you, we love you. ❤
Thank you so much for sharing your story. You made me feel so much better. I was really really freaking out and depressed. So thank you.
I ordered your Pranicura cream recently and have been using it. Hoping it helps . Thank you ❤!
Best to your recovery!
Thanks for sharing about your own journey. Really grateful for this community!
For your fissures, what is it about those fruits that causes your relapse?
Not always, but most the time.
This Doc is so cool!!😅
The first DR on youtube that I can relate to...great job Doc!!!
Thank you, so human and honest. ❤
Dr. Chung, I wish you were here in San Francisco. I would definitely have you for a doctor . You’re awesome!
Thank you for sharing your story!
How are you able to mountain bike with your conditions? I would never dream of it! Good for you that you're able to.
When I cut out carbs and sugar everything down there settled down a bit…. You just have to ask yourself if it’s worth it after you eat/ drink it… And sometimes it is! Lol ….I have everything you have plus a new little friend called a rectocele…it’s a lot!
You are a GEM
Dr. Chung really being helped by your videos Thank You so very much.
Thank you so much doctor chung! After suffering for a few years now i finally saw a doctor and told my fam about my "embarassing" end. I will go see a specialist too😊😊. I also discover that when your in so mych pain you couldnt care less of whoever knows 😅.
Thank you for your personal sharing. It increases your credibility. 👋
I feel bad for you the pain its easy to give up on life your inspiring and helpfull
Doc what gives, if you're suffering from inflamed roids partaking in long stretches of mountain biking can't possibly be a good idea for your "no-no zone" and I didn't even need 4 degrees to come to that conclusion. LOVE your channel, keep up the amazing content!
“Come on guys, this is not onlyfans” 😂 that and “my no-no zone” cracked me up. Thanks for sharing doc!
Dr. Chung, can you please do a video for people who have Bile Acid Diarrhea post-cholecystectomy? We usually are put on a bile-salt sequesters medication and struggle daily with either constipation or loose stools and the ramifications of those side effects.
I'm not really an expert on that topic....sorry.
RED BULL?!? 🤣🤣🤣
You just became SO REAL & amazing, Dr. Chung!!! Love you even more now
Ahahaha
Thank you docter
Doing great job
I am doing very well 90 % healed and i hope i sufferd from 7 month...
What did u do
thank you. actually experiencing this, you understand.
Your the best doctor sharing your private battles alls I can say is thank you so very much
P.s I have those contractions when urinating.
❤Dr. Chúng is awesome!!! Thank you for sharing your no no no zone.
I love this guy!!
Excellent explanation ⭐️👍💙🙋♂️
Two things:
1- Did you decide to become a proctologist because of your own personal issues.
I've had issues almost my entire life when I look back. Didn't really pay attention, though.
@@yourfriendlyproctologistI use nipple cream in fissures
How do I heal fissure? It keeps coming back, how do I soften my poop, I can’t keep taking stool softerns all my life. I am frustrated.
Hips store trauma is true.I think the reason is mental stress , trauma , anxiety also. Coz a lot has been going on in my life and i started overthinking and going into depression and it started then i just didnot realise.
Thank you for sharing your personal experience. ❤
He recently made a video about fistula. Check his channel
Thank you.
