    Thank you Eric! Point 4 is something I have been suspecting for a while now but some great pointers here. We arrive four weeks today!
    One question: how quickly is it possible to move in? Say we find an apartment we like Monday morning, could we move in the same/next day?

    • @SecondLifeTravels1
      @SecondLifeTravels1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That depends on the apartment. For many of the mid-rises and high-rises, you can move in the next day, though. There are offices within the buildings that can take care of the contract, deposit, etc.

    Your option #6 is the best if they have a time to check around directly with the rental property. I also like to share this if they want to check out this Borey Peng Hout - Beng Snao which is a out 15 minutes drive out of PP on Hwy #1 across the Mekong River. This gated community is well-known for locals with beautiful Euro Parks, restaurants, and mixed of markets so you do not have to travel to PP if you don't want to. They have their rental office there for condos and townhomes for rent with reasonable prices. BTW, the Hwy #1 is going to Vietnam. Cheers 🍷

    Always bargain for better prices. It's renters market. Currently there's boom in apartments/ condo constructions. Too many buildings being built so shop around for better options.
    Phnom Penh market has changed drestically for better.

    Love it. Tip 1… get an agent. Tip 6… don’t get an agent. I like the idea of wandering around Russian Market by myself. The more people in the loop, the more people to pay. Thank you.

    Hey Eric brother my name is Craig. I'm currently in America right now but planning to move to Phnom Penh. I'm 63 and retired . I get social security disability checks every month. I found out that I have to have a physical address for an apartment and that I also need a physical address for a bank account . so I can have my checks forward to bank in Cambodia banking system. So now I explained all that to you my question is. Do these apartments that you talking about have physical addresses. please let me know yes or no. Thank you brother for your time and I appreciate your videos.

    To purchase a. Tuk tuk for personal use, what are the rules or laws if any?

    • @SecondLifeTravels1
      @SecondLifeTravels1  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't know what the laws are, but I do know this: I have *never* seen a foreigner driving a tuk tuk, other than me one time for fun.
      It could be like Thailand, where it's against the law to do jobs that take jobs away from the locals. I'm not sure. But if that IS the law, you can protest to the police all day long that you aren't using the tuk tuk for business, but your protests may fall on dead ears.
      Even if it's not against the law, it would probably be more trouble than it's worth, due to all the attention you'd receive, not to mention the trouble and expense of parking the darned thing.
      I'd just get a motorcycle or, if you hate money and hate going places fast, a car.
