Just taking a break while doing Masters degree. Will return in late fall when it's over!
@@SecondLifeTravels1 Good to hear you are OK! Good luck on your degree! We are going in late August, so looking forward to it 😍 gonna be in Cambodia for ten months if we can bear the heat 😅 looking forward to you videos in the fall then! 🙏
I love it very symbol. This is the way it goes.❤❤❤❤❤❤
How is it with "highwater" near or between the two rivers?
Can you elaborate?
@@SecondLifeTravels1 are there problems with flooding?
I really like the view, it is very classic and definitely has a lot of memories From indonesia🇮🇩🙏🇰🇭 Terjemahkan
Great video. Very informative. Keep up the good work.
Great video, but I'll never move there. With the weather being so hot and humid much of the year, I would perish.
Don't worry, there's air conditioning!
As a cambodian going back to visit after 5 years, i am surprise at the amount of food delivery motorbike in the video. 😅
Oh my goodness, there's SO MUCH of that!
Love the place! Are you guys still residing in Cambodia ? I have not seen your Cambodia videos lately
Taking a break until I'm a little less busy. Look for new vids in December!
Hi where did you book the cruise from please?
Gosh, I don't remember! I just did an Internet search for cruises.
Nice video 👍👍👍🇰🇭🇰🇭🇰🇭
Thank you very much!
Sorry sir.Its off subject but is it best to fly to Phnom phemb for a Retirement visa.Dont matter if ya don't know but keep seeing different YT saying do do that.Brilliant Chanel.subbed.🙏🌎💯☸️🕉️
You fly in, get a standard visa, and then apply for retirement visa inside Cambo.
This is actually very much informative, is there any way to get ferry schedule, and can we book it online in advance ?
No need. Ferries leave constantly. Always buy your ticket there.
Its ortodox ☦️☦️☦️🇷🇸
That is amazing

Hi Eric, could you do a video on the Cambodian monetary system. I am confused by the their paper money. And, if you have the time, I would love to hear about transferring money from the US to Cambodia. All the best to you and family and thank you for the great videos.
I did a money video!
Hi, we will be moving to Phnom Penh near the end of the year. And both my husband and I will be teaching English. Our plan is to rent for around $250 per month because we don’t plan on coming over with a huge budget and want to live comfortable but not middle class as you put it. We have always lived on a small budget and we have been working to save to move over. We even raised 4 children in a double decker bus, so minimal is not a problem. Would you mind doing a TH-cam on a lower budget whilst still clean and tidy living. Or guide us to areas that we can search when we arrive. As we plan to go 10 days earlier so we can search and have a bit of a holiday.
Such a video is on the list!
You did a really good job with this and the maps were very helpful. Commend yourself, I’m impressed. I’ve lived in Thailand for ten years and prior to Covid anyway, in PP during the dry season electricity was allegedly hard to generate and I remember rolling blackouts during the day. Different parts of the city would experience 4-5 hours of no electricity per day. I was there so I experienced it. I saw your answer to one commenter that blackouts were not that common in at least the Bkk1 area, but I’m wondering if in general PP still does rolling blackouts at any time?
No, those days are past.
@@SecondLifeTravels1 good to hear. Thank you.

Awesome Ride.
Awesome Video! Thank you so much. I'd like to come visit for a month or so. Do you recommend airbnb or hotel to base out of?
I'd recommend Plantation Urban Resort and Spa.
1000 USD, you can rent a nice place in Bangkok and nearby the most convenient metro transportation system in SEA (railways system as metro or sky train). You will also get free WIFI and easily to access convenient stores and pharmacies that you can easily finds them in every corner of Bangkok.
$1,000 is a huge amount of money here in Cambodia. For that, you can get 3 bedrooms and 120 square meters right in the center, and that price would include wifi and twice-weekly maid cleanings. The traffic is far better here, so you can get anywhere in the city you need to in 15 minutes. I've lived in Bangkok and Phnom Penh and Phnom Penh is definitely the cheaper and more convenient city.
Thanks for sharing . I have copied you and the results are astounding.
Wonderful!
I live 1 block from this restaurant. My local spot especially for Happy Hour
I've been living under a rock. So glad I found your videos. I started teaching English in January at International school.
10 oysters in the US especially in D.C area $25-$30 dollars for a dozen. One of many reasons why I finally moved to SE Asia .
Mamma Mia Pizza (previously known as King Kong Pizza) on St130 and Riverside is pretty good too. Standalone store, not a chain. Disclaimer, I don't have any interest in the biz other than being a paying customer.
Great video, keep up the good videos, thank for your services
Thank you so much for your amazing vdo 🙏🙏🙏
Is your wife thai or cambodian?
Thai
Wise tips, it seems to be driving a bike in Cambodia is even worst than The Philippines, talking about PH I do have a Filipino driver license. As far as I know are good for any SE Asian country, no need of International DL (AESIAN countries, included Cambodia). My question: Do I need to get the Cambodian driver license if I drive a over 125 cc? Thanks!!!!
Yes, you do need a license for over 125cc.
@@SecondLifeTravels1 Thanks for your kind response and good luck with your channel!
Great info man! Thxs for that. One question: How is it with power outrages and wifi in these "better" areas. I work online and its hard to find good reliable info on that.
I can only speak for Russian Market and BKK1, as those are the only places on this list I've lived. Power outages are not super common.
@@SecondLifeTravels1 Thxs for the answer 🙏
Count down from 10. Never in my wildest dreams thought something I got taught when I was a kid would come in so handy "on the daily". Thanks for the awesome tips and content been learning a lot. This from a South African who's been living in Phnom Penh for almost five years.
I just learned sth new, and I'm Cambodian 😂😂😂
Do you recommend scarlet sails resort? i dont want to see any insect and mosquito in my room. is it possible? i booked another otel and i wasn't happy because of insect and mosquito
You'll be in Southeast Asia, so you could spend $2,000 per night on the best resort and still could have a mosquito in your room.
@@SecondLifeTravels1😱😱😱 thanks 🫡🫡🫡
I stayed in the BKK 2/3 aka the Tuol Sleng area and rented a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment for $250 a month. I miss it so much. Best neighborhood imo.
Bike bandit has gone under. Do you know of any other sites that have the parts schematics online?
Lots. Just type in "OEM motorcycle parts" into Google.
Te fuiste recio!!😂
Would you recommend bringing a Nikon DLSR camera?
Absolutely not. Waste of money and too hard to haul around. Instead, buy a good phone, such as a Galaxy S23 or S24. It will do almost as good and it will fit in your pocket.
I'd prefer a showing of the nicest / cheapest studios that are a tremendous -- "value" -- for frugal minded people like me ! > The 2K+ apartments were twice the price they were likely worth. ( ? ) Just for me - a homebase / used when in PP only and to rest from travel to many places for extended periods of time. Great location for eating out when in town & not have to cook much.....🤗
In the Phlippine’s that would be considered a condo nice place if you are flying from the us into Cambodia what part of Cambodia 🇰🇭 I’ll flying pp
What an awesome video !!! Thanks so much. I'm moving to PP in Aug for ESL. Thanks for all your tips Eric !
Glad this was helpful for you!
Although I encourage people to spend dollars for large purchases. e.g. through banks, or debit cards if you wanna purchase something $100+. But I recommend spending riel for most of the daily purchases (of course you can open Khmer riel bank account which integrated with your dollars account, with all the same payments system), because the central bank is working so hard to dedollarize the economy, plus it’ll be good for future export from the economy further strengthening the control over inflation and deflation 🙏🥺
Koh rong is one of the most beautiful beach in Cambodia
very nice
You are very king and thoughtful human beeing ! Thank you so much ! for saving Cambodia wild life ! 🥰🙏
lol! I love your content ! Do I need to bring my table , my coffee stand ? ? 😂 with the fees of shipping’s and taxes overseas it’s worth to start brand new in Cambodia . Thank you my families from North America are half moving back to Cambodia so do I for my earlier retirement . Thank you dear , enjoyed your stay !
Wow nice!
I like the Mafiya beach, somewhat private and a lot nicer there.
