  • First race with the new engine in. Was a very long week getting ready and picking up a new motorhome on the Wednesday after my previous one was stolen! I struggle around Snetterton but was very happy with the car!
The clutch biting point is set too high leading to a bad start off the line so some tinkering needed before the next race weekend at Cadwell Park.

Well that was money well spent ! That's a transformed beast you have there . Sounds so crisp and willing , terrific sound and so tractable. Gear changes just slick now , slot another cog and she just picks up and goes. Bet you well chuffed with it ! Best put that engine builder on your chrimbo card list he built you a little gem 👍

It’s made a massive difference. To keep up with those cars on a power circuit is great. I’m going to change the clutch biting point a touch. I’ve set it a little high so struggling off the start line and sometimes the gear changes were a bit clunky and shocking the diff

That looks like so much fun! Shame the green
Morgan got away, thought you were going to have a great battle with him. Engine is sounding strong!

Yeah I thought I may be able to hang on to him but he just got quicker and quicker.

Good result on a power circuit - think you were baulked a bit by a back marker just as you were getting into a rhythm. Being a Ford person, to me it ‘feels’ like you’re running 2000E ratios - reckon Bullet ratios would make a difference if your engine revs high enough. Bet you’re pleased with the results of your labours! Looking forward to the next one!! Keep the videos coming!

Yeah it’s always tricky with back markers and it can help you or hinder but that’s all part of it. Last thing I want to do is damage cars so I always play it safe when lapping. Your right about the box. 2000e ratios. 4th does let me know a bit. Quite a jump between 3rd and 4th. Very happy though 👍

Very neat and tidy race and as you expected the engine seemed to pull better than last season. The Morgan (V8?) not pulling away much down the straights. So quick under braking and thru the corners - awesome. What lbs springs do you run? Also curious as to what diff ratio you're running?

Yeah the Morgan was a little slow exiting corners so I could sort of keep up. I cannot remember what the spring lbs are to be honest. Need to try and find paperwork. I run the 4.11 diff in it.

@@Tomkitek 👍Hoping to get to Oulton or Silverstone later in the year. Get to see your car up close. Good luck 'till then. I'll continue to enjoy watching your videos.

I bet that you are rather pleased with the new motor! Sounds great, and seems to have torque from lower down the rev range than noted on previous videos ( or perhaps it just sounds more urgent ).
I have fond memories of Snetterton, before the modernisation, even with an unintentional trip to the cabbage field 😅
