I can't thank you enough. I had a stroke about 4 years ago. I was pretty decent at electronics. Since the stroke electronics go way over my head. Your videos have made my firestick so much better.
I can’t thank you enough. I’m new to the firestick and streaming in general. I just cleared by background apps and turned off the stuff in featured content. AWESOME. My speed has always been good and my firestick tv has always been in the same room as my router so no issues there. My buffering has never been a huge problem but like everyone else i don’t want it to happen EVER. I noticed a small amount of buffering today and came upon your video. i’m gonna start my movie and again and see if there’s a difference. Even if there isn’t I’m glad that I know about these features. Thank you again for sharing the knowledge and presenting it in a way that even the technically challenged can understand. Kudos!!!
While watching this video to see why streaming on my stick did so much buffering, I downloaded the background apps and processes Android app for my phone. I found 76 apps open in the background! No wonder my phone has been running slowly. As for the stick, there were only 13 apps running, so I've concluded that it's the source. Thanks for the video; it was double help for me!
We are a 'low tech' household but your teaching technique is very clear and comprehensible! We don't have buffering problems but I like knowing how to troubleshoot should the need arise. Only had 3 apps running in the background, mostly because we mainly watch 2 apps, PBS and TH-cam. HULU was also listed and I force stopped it. Thanks for great instruction and helping others!
Great information. I just did it! Surprised, I only had 13 apps running. You are the best and most easy to understand tutor for the firestick. I've learned so much from you. THANKS!
You're doing everything right! I subscribed to your channel 2-3 yrs ago and I have kept my Firestick in proper operating condition ever since. I check background apps every week or so and the speed test less so. The last time I checked I had 7 apps running in the background. I have an old Firestick so I probably won't get the new interface but I'm used to what I have, so I'm good.
I appreciate your continued support and assistance, you are very knowledgeable and speak in plain language. You assist in making my firestick experience steady, thank you
Thanks to you I only have 2 apps running. My ExpressVPN and what ever app I am using. Also I purchased 2 rockspace 1200 wifi extenders. That has helped me so much. Thinking of hardwireing very soon. Thanks for everything Mr. C YOU ROCK!!!
I am a new user. This my first time using the Amazon stick. This information is very useful. Learning the most important things might probably take time, but everything is a learning process. Thanks a lot for taking your time to do this educational video.
Thanks a lot you did educate me. I am located in the Caribbean and appreciate your well informed video. My Fire Stick is no longer sluggish. You the man Big Bigup. Thanks Again.
this was great info, only had 22 apps running but still, got an extender in my office... but it is the source that is bad... once again.. thx for the fix and info... great channel.. please keep up the good work... 😀😀😀😀
WOW I HAD 21 APPS RUNNING IN THE BACKGROUND. I HAD COME HERE MANY TIMES TRYING TO FIND A SOLUTION AND NOOO MENTIONED THE BACKGROUND APP. THANKS I REALLY DO APPRECIATE IT!
Ty for explaining things in terms an average person can understand. I've watched a few of your videos and learned alot. Sincere thanks I'm excited to share them to help others l8kr like myself
Thank you for the video I have an first gen fire stick that kept buffering now I'm using this app it works good keep up the good work ,I had 17 apps running
Hi there sir I have just discovered your channel because I was looking for help with my fire stick and I did every thing you say to do and yes it worked so a big thank you 👍🏻😃 from me in the UK 🇬🇧.
Great info! Thanks very much. We have 2 firestick 4K running and these videos are a big help. I found 15 processes on 1 TV. I'm interested to see what our bedroom TV has running.
Thank you for the tip. I only had 13 apps open, but 10 of them have never been used since downloading and initial open to check out. Interesting how stuff just accumulates in the background.
I watched how to clean up my cache but I forgot so here I' am to see how to do it again. Thanks for always putting up there great videos. I use my fire stick on a bedroom not so smart TV. I have a LG TV and I haven't used it much yet. I guess that is another YT channel.
This helped so much!!! Will point people towards you if they have questions about fire stick. Thank you so much & now my cat can watch his cat tv again!!!
Thank you for the info now I have a better understanding about speed. I actually bought a adapter for my Firestick so I can use an Ethernet with it instead of using wireless.
Thank you so very much for this information I have a wi-fi booster but was still having a problem with freezing, buffering and kicking out of channel but since you've showed me this app I have closed all the running apps and am getting no buffering at all the bedroom set is next to see if it works as well there Thank You Again
I live in Central America, and right now, 10 mbps is pretty much what I have, altho they are soon to be running fiber optic here. After running speed test, I find that if I choose links that are 1080p & 10mbits or less, I have no problems with buffering. Sometimes I can stream larger links, but generally keep it to that limit and its good. Am running Syncler and Cinema on the Firestick.
Hey, hello! This is my first visit to your channel, i really appreciate your help and patients along with explanations! Thank you very much! Ill promote your channel every chance.
Display settings on the fire stick may also be the issue. The TH-cam app on the fire stick is especially finicky if your display settings are too high which they normally are by default. Anything over 24 hertz will generally cause buffering on that and a few other apps. Out the box the settings are on 60 hertz.
What I ended up doing was buying a Ethernet adapter and connecting it directly to my AT&T fiber router and I disabled the Wi-Fi on the router since I’m using Google Wi-Fi pods throughout my house. And the buffering was very minimal.. what I researched if your using a iptv the stream files are very large so a direct connection to your router will give you the best connection

Something else that helps, while you are force stopping your running apps, also clear your cache. I find that this also helps increase your speed.
13 apps running and buffering bad after the force stop method no more buffering! Thank u so much!!
Great info! Thanks very much. We have 2 firestick 4K running and these videos are a big help. I found 15 processes on 1 TV. I'm interested to see what our bedroom TV has running.

In addition to doing just a "force stop," I usually clear cache first before doing the force stop and this works very well. Thanks for the video.
You certainly can to free up space. But that doesn't help buffering (which is what the video is about). But certainly should be done regularly.
@@CuriosityCafe Right. I agree 100% with you.
These videos are so useful and so well explained, specially for people like me who are not tech experts.

Great video thanks. I had 23 background apps running.
Should perform better now
Thanks for your 3 tips regarding buffering.
Your videos are always helpful, thank you.
I fixed my buffering by running a cable from my modem to my fire stick, over the roof down the wall. It was quit a chore but well worth the trouble.
I always look forward to new ways to stop buffering on my firestick. Thanks for sharing
Thank you soooo much. I now have my tv connected to my google speaker.
As usual very informative video, thanks so much, my complaint would be with Pluto TV, it buffers a lot, even more than Cinema HD.
This is one to re-visit as I almost forgot it all.
