Just turned my phone into a remote for my firestick. So much easier to search for apps. And no more scrolling to find letters when searching. Thanks for the tip.
#1 is a great tip, but in my case, I have my Firestick powered by the USB port on my LG TV, and the port powers off with the TV, so my Firestick is basically rebooted every time I turn on my TV. This is likely the case for many people who power their Firesticks from the TV USB port.
Please be careful with that. If your firestick is updating and you turn your tv off during this update it will fry your firestick. I hear about it all the time. I don’t recommend using your USB port unless you promise to turn off auto updates.

I have always manually cleaned the cache from applications. Love this. Even just rebooting is lovely.
