The new bolvar doesn't say when in hand. You have to play it onto the battlefield to get buffs on it, and because it has divine shield it is closer to a 5m 3/7, although really more of a 2.3/7

The thing about voodoo hexxer i never hear anyone talk about is if you don't have a spell to remove it and you're forced to trade your minion is pretty much frozen for two turns so it has that going for it.

I think you misunderstood the new Bolvar, what I can tell from comparing the cardtext from the older Bolvar to the new one is, that the new doesn't fulfil its requirement as it is in your hand. So, what this means is, he get's +2 Attack every time a Divine Shield is destroyed while he is ON THE BOARD, not in your hand (Bolvar Fordragon especially reads "...while this is in your hand...". This effect includes his own Divine Shield to activate the effect, means he is at least 3/7 at the second attack when not silenced or debuffed in other manners. Have a nice day!

With bolvar fireblood if he has divine shield and he loses it would that trigger as a friendly and then gain +2 attack? If so without the opponent having removal or silence (in best cases) he would act similar to a taunt as in you'll wanna get rid of him first.. playing a deck with divine shield would make this card so problematic for the opponent.. definitely getting excited for this new expansion!
I don't think Bolvar will trigger in the hand. It doesn't say anything about being in the hand. I think it only works when he's in play. It also doesn't say for each divine shield lost this game, so it doesn't seem like a fully static effect.
Except new Bolvar doesn't say it has to be in your hand to gain new buffs. I think it's an on-board effect, and it has its own Divine Shield (so 3/7 outright).
What Kripp forgot about Bolvar … Midrange and Control Paladin plays almost no 5 drops. But a strong 5 drop is important. If you can get Bolvar stick on the board (and it will most likely) you'll get a 3/13 Taunt, Divine Shield, Deathrattle summon a 2/6 and gain attack when a friendly minion loses divine shield. Spikered Steed single handed beats aggro decks … on this minion it destroys them.
You are also forgetting late game potential with Bring it On!, as well as being a huge counter to freeze mage, which seems to be the theme of a lot of cards this expansion.

Krip made a mistake! (gasp). Bolvar activates the same way as the weapon, it has to be on the board! But that also means it self activates and can keep growing.
Kripp I think you're forgetting that bolvar is an automatic 3 7 because him losing his own divine shield counts. So to get full value you only need one more minion to lose one. Not that difficult

Well Bretons are an entire set of cards printed around the mechanic of gaining and losing Ward(Divine Shield in HS) in Elder Scrolls Legends but the effect is inconsistent there and I can bet it will be incosistent in Heartstone aswell.
New Bolvar is definitely better than old Bolvar. Particularly in a Steed meta. 5 Mana 1/7 Divine Shield (possibly 3/7) going into Steed turn isn't terrible. He also gains attack on the board. Also has Divine Shield on himself (which means he buffs himself). And yes, he may not fit in any deck. But he's miles better than old Bolvar.
Sindragosa is (was?) a member of the Blue Dragonflight, which is known for its affinity with magic. The one that really doesn't make any sense is Putricide for Hunter.
i dont think that bolvar is that bad when the deck works, because often enough it will survive the turn you play it and can be followed up with spikeridged, so you get more time to pop some divine shields
Hadronox is insane with naturalize. You get your enemy closer to fatigue and summon a very defensive board. Works great aginst Aggro and Control. Just nice.
Ticking abomination could be used in a paladin deck to try to remove all divine shields. Although somewhat ineffective in some situations it may prove to be a powerful combo

Bolvar Fireblood is a 3/7 not a 1/7 because it has a divine shield and buffs itself, so it isnt as horrible as you said. Still sucks though, but might be pickable in arena if its with 2 other bad legendarys

Bolvar Fordragon was my first Legendary. I got him for 4 years and I'm not 100% sure but I think I had him 4 times in my deck and one of those 4 was 1 Tavern Brawl. He's really bad
it does not, the same way poisoned weapon doesn't work with blade flurry. And i'd argue it does matter. If you could heal to full health in rogue while clearing the board it would be strong enough to consider playing those cards.
Bring it on is pretty Good against Aggro. If you can heal for Ten in turn 4 or 5 when your opponent can play his entire hand either way it will hugely benefit you.

To make leeching poison viable they should have made it absorb the health of whatever your weapon kills so it would go with envenom but still work with the deadly poisons also

Leech + Blade Flurry is like a weaker Hazzazeal heal, for 1 more card, but instead of being overloaded for 2-5 mana the turn after, you pay 2-5 prior for the weapon that gets destroyed.
Bolvar gains attack on board, and it has divine shield. It's text also reads so that when he loses his own divine shield, he will become a 3/7. Still don't think it is good, but it is better than Kripp gave it credit for.
The druid legendary could be played at turn 10 with the quest so you could summon few heavy taunt minions with 5 or more attack and potentially complete the quest. Yeah,I opened the quest and didn't dust it,I still hope.

Bolvar will deal at least 4 damage when trading, because it gains attack when it loses it's own shield. a 5 drop 4/7 with divine shield isn't bad at all. dodges fireball, at the very least.
that's fair. but it's not really a 3/7 because its a divine shield. its more like 3/7+X, where X is the first instance of damage. if you put it behind strong paladin taunts that have divine shield like tirion and the 3 mana 2/2, it's actually even stronger than i originally indicated. you only have to get the effect off once before the shield is popped for it to easily be worth 6 mana (its 5), and worse case scenario its probably valued at 4 & 1/2 mana (sans silence/transform effects)
I still messed up a bit in my explanation, but I honestly think this card is being under-rated. I could be wrong, but it seems like a card that is easily 5 stars in a dedicated deck.

Sindragosa is a undead BLUE dragon. The blue dragon aspect is (was) Malygos. Also known as the aspect of magic.

hadronox doesn't summon ancient of war, because it doesn't have taunt as the text, it's optional to have it as taunt...
Bolvar Fordragon was my first Legendary. I got him for 4 years and I'm not 100% sure but I think I had him 4 times in my deck and one of those 4 was 1 Tavern Brawl. He's really bad

it does not, the same way poisoned weapon doesn't work with blade flurry. And i'd argue it does matter. If you could heal to full health in rogue while clearing the board it would be strong enough to consider playing those cards.

Bring it on is pretty Good against Aggro. If you can heal for Ten in turn 4 or 5 when your opponent can play his entire hand either way it will hugely benefit you.

yes you can, but it's super slow though. But you can be sure Imma summon the great wall of china if I get it.

Bolvar gains attack while on board and can proc itself since it has divine shield so I think it's a little better than Kripp thinks. But only a little
To make leeching poison viable they should have made it absorb the health of whatever your weapon kills so it would go with envenom but still work with the deadly poisons also

why not make bolvar gain attack while in the deck... that would make it good.....
Leech + Blade Flurry is like a weaker Hazzazeal heal, for 1 more card, but instead of being overloaded for 2-5 mana the turn after, you pay 2-5 prior for the weapon that gets destroyed.
The new Bolvar only works while it's in play.

Bolvar gains attack on board, and it has divine shield. It's text also reads so that when he loses his own divine shield, he will become a 3/7. Still don't think it is good, but it is better than Kripp gave it credit for.
The druid legendary could be played at turn 10 with the quest so you could summon few heavy taunt minions with 5 or more attack and potentially complete the quest. Yeah,I opened the quest and didn't dust it,I still hope.
Why would you hold your quest to turn 10?

Play n'zoth and you get a 6/7 deathrattle summon a 6/5 with deathrattle summon 2 2/2s and another 6/5 from n'zoth himself!
And that's only 2 minions (to n'zoth)!!!

The cards look really interesting though. Seems you can create a lot of interesting mechanic/combos, meta looks promising.
Bolvar will deal at least 4 damage when trading, because it gains attack when it loses it's own shield. a 5 drop 4/7 with divine shield isn't bad at all. dodges fireball, at the very least.
that's fair. but it's not really a 3/7 because its a divine shield. its more like 3/7+X, where X is the first instance of damage. if you put it behind strong paladin taunts that have divine shield like tirion and the 3 mana 2/2, it's actually even stronger than i originally indicated. you only have to get the effect off once before the shield is popped for it to easily be worth 6 mana (its 5), and worse case scenario its probably valued at 4 & 1/2 mana (sans silence/transform effects)
I still messed up a bit in my explanation, but I honestly think this card is being under-rated. I could be wrong, but it seems like a card that is easily 5 stars in a dedicated deck.
