Uther coming with the trademarked bad group is funny as fk. the first wing could be harder but I'm used to cards games where the ai had insane stuff like "do 10 damage to you for every non 3 mana card you play" or where they had 99 health and full regen. there were some fights where you literally had to have a specific deck to have a chance and you still lost much of the time. given that, it's probably best if you don't cater to folks like me, especially given the card game I'm mentioning closed down ;p
That prologue was the greatest nostalgia flashback to lich king raids ever, when gear score became a thing. Also Kripp acting like he didn't know what was going to happen in that prologue, lol.
That Prologue may have been the absolute best Adventure thing ever, and this isn't even a real Adventure. Makes me wish Blizzard would reconsider and actually make full Adventures again.
the problem is, when they full adventures they lock every card behind that adventure. Under that requirement, they have to make the encounters less challenging, because they want everyone to be able to get the cards. This current way of introducing adventures is alot better, because the less good players do not NEED to finish it to enjoy the expansion. Side note, adventures tend to have a significant less amount of cards, and the pro scene has been asking for more cards for a very long time, hence the 3 expansions a year now.
I'm not talking about the way the Adventure is done or the difficulty, I'm specifically talking about how hilarious and well executed the Prologue was.
Mathmachine they need to make more like this adventure free and every week 3 new bosses and just as reward we get packs:) keeps game more fun and enjoyable when there is no tb and quests
Mathmachine I think the issue was that they run out of ideas eventually and the adventure format forced them into too many bosses. for example, Karazhan would've been awesome with just the prologue, first, and final wings. the middle two stunk. this format lets them just do whatever amount works and not worry about a fixed number.

I feel like the adventures are difficult but they dont block out f2p players which is a really great balance. Good on Blizz for this one. This is the first adventure I've been able to do aside from the Khara Prologue and I have to say its really fun, and challenging while not being frustrating.
NGL as much as I wanted to beat the bosses with decks built to beat them specifically, I ended up beating all 3 with the same Control Paladin. It had the OTK with the horsemen to beat the first boss, weapons to kill the second boss, and the OTK again for the third boss, plus just enough big minions to beat her down. Maybe specialized decks could beat them faster or with more flare, but I'm not going to argue with results.

"You need to build a deck to beat each one." - I actually beat all of them just using Exodia Paladin first try, without any prior knowledge of what I was facing (and I'm really not such an amazing player that I should be able to do that). The Paladin Death Knight is going to be insane for all adventures, honestly. Bypass all intended mechanics.
when you do the lich king battle, please post each classes fight! Something feels missing about watching you go through ICC this week. I liked watching your deck building process rather than only the victory.
While I did like the adventure, I will say that for the first wing I only had to make a deck for Saurfang because, well, Quest Priest doesn't carry weapons. But my Quest Priest beat both of the other bosses without any modifications to the deck from what I play on ladder.
For the last boss I ran priest with circle of healing, binding heal, and hozen healer with a bunch of removal. Hard mulligan for circle and binding. I won turn 4.
I used the same deck that I used on ladder that I did on the first two bosses. A budget handlock deck without things like shadowflame and twisting nether
For the deathwhisper I used faceless manipulators with circle of healings 😂 I also just used a lot of removal, card draw, and silence bc u can just silence the dragon for a free hit
Build decks to beat each one? Elemental shaman against BONESTORM, taunt warrior against saufag and murloc shaman against lady deathwhisper. Cant be damaged to 1 health if its already 1 health :thinking:
As far as difficulty I don't particularly agree, I used a jade druid with some new cards on nearly all of the missions and last season's pirate warrior net deck on the one where you have to use weapons to deal damage... was expecting to at least have to make one unique deck. ...prologue was fucking hilarious tho
The big threat is the Bone Spikes, of which he has at least 4. Bring Silence/Shadow Word Pain/Cabal Shadow Priest. Stealing a Bone Spike is also an easy path to victory, so take Mind Vision/Thoughtsteal/The new 5-mana steal 3 if you have it. I personally won using a Lightspawn and Divine Spirit based deck, but the odds of it working are pretty slim. Bring Auchenai too, because apparently Marrowgar sometimes steals your minions.
I got Malfurion the Pestilent from the Lich King, I'm thinking of disenchanting my only golden legendary, King Krush to get Deathstalker Rexxar insteadj.
Actually i used my ladder silence priest and my ladder control priest and my old face pirate warrior... no modifications at all and completed the first wing. Before opening any of the expansion's pack. its freaking easy.... i miss old adventures when they were actually forcing you to use unused cards in creative ways. But the prologue was amazing.
the reactions bosses have to what you play is fun. marrowgar and alexstrasza. saurfang and gorehowl etc. playing the lich king. makes me hope that if you play kel'thuzad in the final encounter against the lich king. KT will join the lich kings side of the board. that would be awesome
I played priest against bone dude and he otk'd himself with auchenai which is a hilarious interaction but I feel like it shouldn't be HARD CODED that he kills himself whenever he steals a priest card. I SMorced the weapon dude with soul forge, which I am glad I got from the ahune packs because it actually came in handy. Lady Deathwhsiper was harder, but a few voodoo docs and priest hero powers killed her pretty fast. Probably never using voodoo doc again ever unless I get pure shit in arena lol.
I have a card that could block litchkings first move basically mimic it and I can't remember it's name but for every minion you put 1/1 minion with taunt on table not a 3/3 but it helps

I spent 45 minutes trying to beat her by buffing Valithria's stats as much as possible, then flipping the attack and health, doubling the health and then using Inner Fire. Became QUITE a bit easier after I realized I could just heal her for 4 to make her murder the enemy.
I must've been the only one who thought the first boss of the first wing was hard then? Took me a while to do the zombiechow otk on him, never even thought about being a bone thief.
the 3rd boss is pretty easy if you just go 2 binding heals and 2 circle of healing and 2 vodoo restore guys. also you can silence him the last time but if you silence him he will be attacked the turn after

I just Cheeze'd Deathwhisper by going Shaman -> 2x Astrall Healing (full heal + taunt) and windfury on the dragon. Killed Deathwhisper on turn 3 (with lucky draw, but then again, you can just restart the encounter until you get the cards you want).

And it doesn't seem to randomly miss lethal anymore.
It was a blast!... but I beat em all with DK Pally lol... take that back, beat the last with warrior and a lot of weapons and buffs.
Equality works on the 30-1 enabling it to attack. Hero power cant damage it so it can attack each turn.
And it can be attacked, don't forget.

On Lady Death whisper I used Grim patron and it worked well.
After the prologue I had a net deck taunt warrior which I used to beat the 1St 2
