2.0’s suck they have no torque without help of turbo/sc they’re not even forged internally like 1.8T or 1.9 tdi from factory, really? I’ve always called them 2.slows aswell as every one else where I live
@@BRVYDEN they have the exact same rods as a 1.8t mind you, which makes them as weak as a 1.8t bottom end with more displacement. If done right and not ghetto fab'd they can make good power. Now trying to find a tuner for the 2.0s is another issue. Most people just sell cookie cutter tunes for them. I however build harnesses for the 2.0 that allow us to run a 1.8t ECU and a cookie cutter tune or Eurodyne Maestro 7 tuning suite.

Looks like you're using coil near plug for spark. Are you running a stock ECU or something like megasquirt? As i believe this engine uses the wasted spark design. Unless its still wasted spark and you'vr just hooked up the coils like that?

Our 2.0 8v turbo kits had great reliability the current customer I still have hanging around we installed at 190k and it's now at 225k and has stock compression. This year we really tore into it and started much more upgrades. If you look at our channels community page you can see the tear down of this motor.
I believe a little over 200 according to what my tuner sent me on some diagram, I data logged and he sent me a file back. But it is tuned by Lowlyfe. Also converted it to run on GM LS coil packs

A little late but yes you can run a ko3 or a ko4 and be perfectly fine however because it only has 8 valves the gain will be minimal. Most people just throw a cam in, bore the intake and exhaust manifold ports, stack head gaskets ( mixed opinions), and turbo them anyway
this engine is capable of climbing up to 1000 hp, common among Argentines and Brazilians, commonly called AP2000, great job on that Bora (jetta)

100% worth it. Made a huge difference in power. Not difficult at all the install

Not really. It’s not making boost until about 2500-3k but after that it pulls hard

It was running really good when I sold it. It was pushing 12psi on the stock bottom end and a t4 turbo.

I'd personally go with 5w40 same as the 1.8t but 5w30 mught work but then again my 2.0 was N/A
