Infinity QX 60 lift gate won’t open solution.

- Before coming across the solution I had checked my fuse box to make sure the fuse to the tailgate was fine. If this solution doesn’t fix it check the fuse box before going to the dealership.

Well done! Trunk would open and close via the key fob and the button at the driver's seat. However, from trunk, it would only unlatch when opened but would not lift the trunk door open. Also, if properly opened from the driver's seat or the key fob, the trunk door would not close from the trunk. Saw this video and checked the on/off switch and my problem was solved. Those switches at the drivers left knee are poorly located.
Not what I was looking for but great video none the less. You probably saved someone alot of money from having to go get it diagnosed.

Haha you can call me whatever you want if I was able to help save the day. I had also checked the fuse and it wasn’t the issue. And BTW you can test your own fuses with a tool from auto zone that costs about seven bucks if the switch isn’t the issue next time :). Have a fantastic rest of your week.

Heyy, ive just gotten the car as a hand me down from my dad. Ive come across this while it was still being used by him a fee years back, i didnt know about that button, we always used the key, if the trunk aint open, wed manually open then close it. But if this ever happens ill be sure to try😊👍🏻

Same thing happened to my wife's qx80. We felt so dumb founded when we pulled up at the dealership and the service adviser was like "oh, just switch this button.." 😒🙄😑.. Same as you're showing us. Haha

I have a 2011 fx35. I have same issue but it is not the switch. Im unable to use emergency trunk release either from inside nor the key. Every once in a while i try to open it and it does open. But last 2 months i havent been able to. It sucks not being able to use the trunk. Ive checked fuses. Idk what else to do. I diagnosed at a nissan dealership and was quoted almost 4k to replace stuff.

I believe is the battery. Just make sure the battery is in good health, and the connection is strong. Reset the battery se if will help

Check the fuse.
My wife accidentally hit that switch as well looking for the mirror retract. Checked all fuses everything good then saw this and presto, the door works again. Why have this switch in the first place?
