What an incredible use of space. All your DIYs of the marble counters, the backsplash, the added sweet sophisticated bar wall , add such personalty and charm. I would call your style eclectic sophistication, and I love it! Most people wouldn't traipse an island 10 blocks , then up 5 flights of stairs!!! But boy did your hard work pay off. Your creativity is amazing. The use of vertical space, the white tiles in the black bathroom, the branches and box art work. This has made a truly , uniquely you, one of a kind home!

I’m an interior designer in Hollywood California for 25 years and I absolutely love your apartment. You even taught me something and I’ve done that design for movies. You taught me about the electrical tape for the windows to look like black paned windows. I’m so impressed with all your ideas and hard work at such a young age. You’re living your best life. @Carly, Your artwork is a win! You cannot tell that the window grilles are electrical tape. Genius. The only thing I would do is use drywall filler where the wall breadboard meets the wall. It would look more elegant and finished. No need to repaint everything. You can just do those cracks. So well done! ❤
I love Carley's DYIs, including the Amazon boxes white art piece. I saw her tour on another channel and in this tour I noticed across from the kitchen area a clear vase with antique colored Hydrangeas is no longer on the "shoe" cabinet and is replaced with a stylish lamp. I copied the antique colored hydrangea arrangement for my dining table and I am delighted with the result.
Hi!!! Oh wow I love that you remembered my hydrangeas! I miss them, they were beautiful and I can’t wait to get more when the season comes but I switched them out for winter florals in December and i unfortunately didn’t have anywhere to store them where they wouldn’t make a mess! (They had dried by then)

I've seen previous iterations of this apartment before, I believe. It gets prettier every time. Even though this is a New York City space, it looks like some more rural properties I've written about for clients that have sophisticated touches of country/cabin/prairie/Nordic design (monochromatic, calming, uncluttered, etc., without the mommy blogger feel lol).
I absolutely LOVE her creativeness!! All of the little touches that she has done to make the little apartment her own is awesome!! I love how cozy it feels!!
This is lovely. She has made the most out of existing features and added pieces that bring a cozy charm to this home. I love the electricians tape used to create the illusion of a mullioned window. Even though l am not monochromatically inclined l really love this look.
You could not be more beautiful and charming. The joy you find in all of the lovely things you have done to this small space speaks to your attitude of pleasure in life. I can't imagine having out of town guests in such a small space but I can tell that you welcome them graciously. A lovely example of how much elegance you can get into 450 sq. ft.: a chandelier with gorgeous ceiling medallion, a really beautiful kitchen sink and countertop/island (the marble paper looks real!), genius cabinet hardware and dimmer lightswitch, who has such a beautiful coffeepot/kettle on their stove (seriously, you have now sent me off on a search for something similar)??, statement mirror, the eye taken on a flow by the color story from the kitchen stools to the shoe cabinet (that's a shoe cabinet??) and on down the hall via the artwork. No one would ever guess the kitchen wall was black tile - I couldn't see a trace of it, and it doesn't look like wallpaper, either- it does look like beadboard! I have never been able to comprehend how people who live in walk-ups get their furniture to their apartments, so that mystery remains. There are so many small apartments in NYC that your services could be in demand as a small-space interior designer for people who want to achieve beauty and elegance in a tiny footprint, and your own apartment is your resume. You really have a talent for it - I would hire you myself in a heartbeat!

Carly is the epitome of her space.She displays her innate talent as a interior decorator & perhaps should pursue that as an endeavor. Nothing is overdone but unique. She has given me some great ideas to use for some diy goals. Great job young lady!!😍

This is easily the best Home Tour I’ve seen so far, both in terms of a (very) likable host, and what she’s done with their apartment. It’s gorgeous! She has an incredible eye for detail, as well as a gift for designing and organizing the over-all space… Carly : The piece you made and framed can absolutely be called “Art”! So something to keep in mind: at around the 2:23 mark, she says that she and her boyfriend don't spend that much time in this apartment. It's just something to consider, since people will be viewing this and wondering if they, too, could make it a go with the size, lack of elevator, etc.
