I have to agree on this. I had a 600 sq ft apt when my daughter was born and lived there for two years. It was so cozy and cute. My daughter just graduated high school and i would love to go back just for a day ❤
I totally agree. The happiest home I've lived in with my parents was a little cabin; we had only a tiny sofa that only two people could sit on, and we used to watch TV all together, seated on the floor with loads of cushions on the floor. Now, their living room is so big that no one stays together anymore...
This was SO much nicer than watching celebrities and their interior designers show some 10thousand sqft mansion. This is so much more realistic for everyone else :)
It’s my favorite, I’m watching it again. I tried to make my 4 kids childhoods very whimsical. Cinderella dresses, doll houses my sons had tee pee’s I’d make the tea parties with our neighbors. I literally had a white picket fence. They had wrought iron Bunny beds. My daughters loved their childhood. My sons ( they’re boys ) 🙄 this mom & dad are fabulous. She definitely is making a magical home for her daughters. Love their princess chair. I can only imagine what their next home will look like. Hope we get to see them again.
In a time of hyperconsumerism and excess, this is extremely refreshing. It is absolutely possible to be happy and content and still dwell in beauty and abundance without having all the things. They've prioritized what is most important to their family and it is lovely to see and a great way to teach their children about what matters.
The VERY limited color scheme in such a tiny apartment for five people seems so essential in making the place seem comfortable and not horribly overcrowded. Confining color almost entirely to their books is brilliant.
The girls room truly is the best: stuffed animals on a rod, three toddler beds in a row, vintage tablecloth to cover the closet, delightful artwork etc.
@@jessica4245 what I wonder is where she paints things. She doesn't have a work area that I can see. I found that a problem when I lived in the city. I lived alone and occasionally painted a piece in my tiny bathroom, but I was the only one using it.

phyllislloyd392@ Either you don't know New York City or you are wealthy. This couple may not be rich as in the NYC millionaires that live in penthouses, but they are not poor. They are better off than the average New Yorker. A two-bedroom apartment on the Upper West Side of Manhattan facing Central Park is expensive and beyond the affordability of most New Yorkers.

It was so refreshing to see a young family living in a small space in New York and making it work. It shows we don’t need all the “stuff” to live with good design and good function. 🥰
Most of the time living in a small spaces is a blessing specially for kids. Kids will adjust to whatever space you have. It's always a bonding time with them and family.
Wow. First off, the lady of the house is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. And this couple is so inspirational, to live in such a small space with such beauty and simplicity is what I needed to see right now. I just downsized from a 3 bd 2 bath that's 1100 sq ft, with an attached garage. I'm struggling to determine what to keep and what to 'fit in'. I now feel like I'm in a spacious place. Keep up the great work Homeworthy.
What a beautiful family, and Heather has so much talent, to manage 3 kids and homeschool in that space constraint is not easy. She managed to curate an inspirational space that will stay in their memories forever.
A most enjoyable tour of home experience. A New Yorker born and raised, I'm inspired to re-think my home worthy decor and greatest living space. Togetherness, love, laughter builds a home, creating peaceful mindset with children who can explore.
I nominate Heather and Michael as Incredible Couple of the Year. They and their home are so attractive and stylish! It's great that they are able to make this work. I love the use of the small lamps, that they make room for what they really love and enjoy, like the espresso machine, candles and flowers. I am so impressed with their creativity and talent.. I grew up in NY and now live in Texas, so I really understand the contrast.
Absolutely love the Rembrandt! And particularly love the biblical account of the prodigal son. What a picture of God’s grace and love for his children! You have such a lovely Home and I love the thoughtful and intentional Curation.❤❤❤
Amazing to interact with an adorable normal young couple, with their children, so uplifting to share this time with them, to see around their home, such a refreshing episode.

That’s bc they’re all similar in size and there are no garish neon colors, so everything goes well w/ the muted color palette of the room. Everything’s thoughtfully curated. The antique tablecloth used as a curtain. 🥰
How much talent on the show and I love the idea of the bed in the corner and the pillows that even though it's a bedroom it gives it a look of a living space plus the sconces on the walls all her ideas are great about wall piece
So glad that her husband also got the chance to talk; most of the videos the women just talk. We are also interested in what men who live in these spaces have to say.
There is so much to love about this home, including the family that lives in it! Design-wise I LOVE how Heather used a limited palette yet still brought in so much warmth, texture and even whimsy which I would not have thought possible. Heather and Michael did a great job decorating their 600 sq. foot apartment so nicely and cozy. You are doing a fabulous job raising your family and giving your girls the opportunity to participate in saying how they want their room. It is nice to see a normal family with a normal space most of Americans can afford on a real budget.
Fantastic 600sq. Ft. Your apartment is really nice. Hiding the silverware that is a neat idea to save space. I love how that cabinet matches your furniture. I love how couples strive together to help one another achieve their goals.
Many people in other countries live in small spaces. In the smaller space, the children will learn to share with one another and communicate more than those children each having their own room. They don’t need bikes. They are working together to live with less/no debt. Great job

This house tour is now one of my top favorite videos. What an utterly lovely family living in a brilliantly creative and yet thoughtfully curated space. I’d rather a 600 sq ft apartment in NYC than a 5K sq ft house in the suburbs. Their daughters could not be more fortunate than to live across from Central Park and experience all of the culture and wonderment of NYC. Bravo to this couple. (I recognize the Odin Parker NYC music box because I own it.) Thank you to this wonderful tour and for new ideas.

This apartment is really cozy that's the benefit of small spaces and I love to see normal people here on Homeworthy and not only rich people. Cute Family.
Most charming. What is invaluable is the instrumental role this apartment plays in providing the happiness for this charming family. The five of them will look back to the years spent in this cosy nest with much affection.
My hubby also went back to school when he was 33! That is when the Lord blessed us with 3 little girls and we were in a two bedroom apartment as well but 900sq. feet. Now my grand kids, growing up fast are doing the same things my kids did and its fun to see my daughter play the mumm and show the little ones how we bake, do holiday crafts and cooking. We even made crock-pot apple butter in the fall... here in MN. God bless your NewYork Nest. Thank you for sharing with the world.
It’s lovely. The decor is calming and beautiful. Love the antique Marketplace tall cabinet in the kitchen. When the daughter says, “To blend in.” That cracked me up. She knows.

Beautiful family! I've always believed close spaces bring families closer together.
As a renter, I have been looking for a light solution for my hideous office lighting for years! I can’t wait to order from Tulip! Thankyou to this wonderfully creative couple and homeworthy.
You have your heads on straight with a clear vision of what the really important things in life are. Continued blessings and true joy in your lovely, warm home.
Genius use of space. Love how it’s decorated and how they’ve made the most of it. Very beautiful yet functional.
Heather and Michael are fabulous. They have done such a beautiful job decorating their home. Their daughters are gems. Great tour!
This is so sweet love how relatable this feels❤️
Living in a NYC 1 bedroom apartment with my husband and 2 little ones! We make our space work and are very calculated at managing the space to not be cluttered but to function and be beautiful and cozy as well!
Just had a baby 3 weeks ago and sharing a 1 bedroom all 4 of us thank G-D is working so well! 🙏💕 I’m so glad this video popped up makes me feel so validated and happy knowing we’re not alone and it’s only good vibes raising children in a sweet cozy small space!
You do with what you have. I remember my new family and we had packing boxes with plywood for a table.
In today’s society, having a roof is a blessing. It doesn’t matter how big it is.🙏🏿
This house tour is now one of my top favorite videos.
What a wonderful family. You can really feel the love as they guide us through their home. Wonderful use of a small space! Vertical space is always where it's at with city living. Well done!!
Love this couple and their apartment!! Blessings to all of you!! Thank you Homeworthy. Love your videos ❤️❤️👏👏
That is when the Lord blessed us with 3 little girls and we were in a two bedroom apartment as well but 900sq. feet. We actually put a climbing toy in the living room which really made my poor mother roll her eyes! Our daughter are now almost 32,30 and 27!!!! Now they all live in apartments (West Coast of Canada) and one has a little 4 year old!I have very fond memories of our days there! Blessings!
Lovely couple with great ideas! But those gorgeous girls just stole the show🥰 Beautiful 🌟🌟🌟
i have 600 sq ft as one person in nyc and complain it's not enough space, esp as wfh. this was refreshing and reminds me i just need to be more creative. really sweet couple.
I’m new to this channel and as a person who loves PEACE and TRANQUILITY, the videos I’ve watched so far has definitely been so delightful 😊 while showcasing so much creativity and functionality while not neglecting what matters most, a place of serenity and comfort. ❤
They will live beautifully no matter where they are, whether in a big space or a small one. Such an inspiring young family!
Gorgeous home; beautiful style! I love smaller spaces. So cosy and happy. Feels full of love. This is my favourite home on your channel! ❤❤❤
Love how you hung the dollies on the rail in the kids room - brilliant! Lovely home.
sooo good! they are so creative and love how they styled their home. Way better to watch than the huge mansions!
What a lovely and inspiring young couple. They’re making their life and their home work for them. They’ve infused their home with joy and with love and what is important in life. 🇨🇦
So inspiring, real, soulful and done with good taste.
that's the most beautiful 600 sqft space I've ever seen in my life!! How do they even make it look soo good?
Beautiful family, with great values and lots of love for each other. I love love love the family & their home. So very curated and functional.
Yes, it’s a family of 5 but 600 square feet on the Upper West Side facing Central Park…It’s a dream.
I love this! I agree with Heather - home is family! Michael resonated that, too.
What a precious family! Their home is tiny but you see it is huge with love! So very intentional!💛
The girls room is simply the sweetest space ❤❤
What a lovely family…….both beautiful…………both so joyful………honestly, it brought tears to my eyes, especially the three little beds in a row…….
before you toss those artworks, take a picture! you can create a scrapbook with fridge gallery images that will grow with time! My childrens Kindegarten teacher gave us a CD of our kids art from school. Not everything went home. Now its a treasure. I luv the home you've created. There is lots of living around the family table. My memories, my kids greatest times were spent at that table.
They really made the best of a small space. It looks darling and they will remember this time for the rest of their lives.
This was absolutely beautiful, you all made a small space large with your heart.
Much success to you all.❤
Impeccable taste. Beautiful family and super cute little girls. I really love the atmosphere and the choice of furniture. Congratulations Heather!
I love how you’ve shown that you can make any space homey and beautiful, and the size of the space is not important.
Loved everything . The girls adding to the tour was very sweet.
I love what this young couple have done with this tiny apartment. It’s really lovely. 🤗
Great Job Homeworthy . This home is amazing and the adorable couple makes it even more special.
It’s lovely. The decor is calming and beautiful. Love the antique Marketplace tall cabinet in the kitchen. When the daughter says, “To blend in.” That cracked me up. She knows.
Beautiful family living in a beautifully designed space .... I've always been drawn to smaller spaces because they just feel cozier and like Michael said, it helps connect the family. Heather has done a beautiful job using neutral colors .... everything flows so well!
I am always most inspired by the smaller apartments and the creative and beautiful solutions people find.
Your home is so unique for NYC, thank you for opening your home, very generous of you.
Watching this was so heartwarming and feel-good for me! Thank you for sharing your home and family with me
I love Heather’s creativity and how she turned this small apartment into a warm, cozy and lovely family home. As many have said, the girls room is my favorite. By the way, the girl’s are so adorable.
Loved this tour of your beautiful home. The girls adding their commentary was precious!
I finished watching this tour with a big smile on my face. Magical!
This is a beautiful home. Filled with simple things and just togetherness.
This is a wonderful home Heather & Michael have set up for their young family! My favorite Homeworthy House Tour! :)
