    As I'm here at school watching your old videos out of pure boredom, I see a lot of people are having lots of trouble with these lights ! lol. my banshee and my uncles banshee works great with the lights.

      Thanks man , and I appreciate the feedback. I've been trying to figure out why so many people have the issue of them blowing out. Mine have never had an issue. I think it has to do with the specific manufacturer of the light (they all look the same on eBay but the quality varies) or something to do with the voltage regulator/stator setup people run.

    Very nice, detailed install video! I had never used those Metri-pack or Weather-pack terminals before but I just got a good lesson on them redoing my new/old F-250 injector harness this week. We have those exact same round LED lights sitting on the shelf, been meaning to put them on our blue shee because my lady prefers the round style on her shee over the light bar like I have on mine. Buddy of mine used to run them and they are definitely a lot better than stock but not nearly as bright as the 12" bar for $30.

    • @MichaelSabo
      @MichaelSabo  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      TrailBlogger yes even from your videos I can tell your light bar is super bright. thank you for the compliment man!

      To run LEDs is it plug and play or do I need a DC conversion? Any help would be awesome. I hook my last set up just like this and they fried as soon as I took of and got high RPMs. So it’s got stock back on it lol but I really want the LEDs. Thank you!

      It should work; I actually decided not to run it that way because some people were telling me that the lights were blowing out, so I'd rather not risk running all of the power to only one light. So for now, both lights stay running whether the switch is on high or low.

    • @MichaelSabo
      @MichaelSabo  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      What's up man. There are a couple of other guys that had the same problem. I think it depends on the output of your stator and which lights you got. There are so many of those 4" LED lights on eBay but they're made by different manufacturers.

    • @MichaelSabo
      @MichaelSabo  6 ปีที่แล้ว

    oem will a bad voltage regulator cause it

    • @MichaelSabo
      @MichaelSabo  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, actually it can. One of the jobs of the voltage regulator is to take excess voltage and convert it into heat which then dissipates into the air. If it's not doing that, then the extra voltage could be going to your lights and blowing them out.

  • @djackson1120

    • @MichaelSabo
      @MichaelSabo  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These did not specify: they appear to be flood lights. The video doesn't do them justice; they're pretty bright. I'm curious to see what they look like with the guards on.

    • @KevDoesStuff
      @KevDoesStuff 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats for sure, I tried to take a video as well to show my Facebook group and it looked like they were barely on but they are def 10x better than stock headlights (I think my Warrior has the same headlights as the Banshee).

    • @MichaelSabo
      @MichaelSabo  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I'm pretty sure Warrior and Banshee share the same part number for headlights. And I just looked at the ebay listing again; these are spot lights.

    You have any trouble with these blowing on you? Installed a set and an led tail light and on of these lights blew.

    • @MichaelSabo
      @MichaelSabo  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pedro Gonzalez someone else said the same thing happened. The only thing I can think is that your stator is putting out more power than mine. I've been at wide open throttle a number of times already with no issues.

    • @eldrizzy
      @eldrizzy 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Michael Sabo ya I had a set of the square auxbeam lights and blew both of them pretty fast after I went on a little ride. So I bought these. Had another regulator laying around so I put it on and tested getting no more than 12 volts on my outputs. Maybe i got a bad light.

    • @MichaelSabo
      @MichaelSabo  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It could be; that's one thing that sucks about cheap Chinese parts, sometimes you get duds. I did notice that some of these are different on ebay though. They look very similar but have different cooling fin patterns on the back and some are thicker/heavier. I only noticed because the pair that was on my banshee when I bought it was mis-matched. From the front they look the same but one was thicker and heavier.

  • @IconoclastDeath
    @IconoclastDeath 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    nice lights and install, you think about just buying a small battery to power them ? i'm no electronic genius here...
    so with stock light bulbs you can connect them up in reverse polarity.. because it's ac current, now the led light is "light emitting diode" we can't connect them in reverse polarity it has to be connected in one way because it's a diode and a diode is made up of a anode and cathode that only allows electricity to go through it only in one direction this is why led lights work so well with dc current so putting a dc led on a ac system is choking up the ac waveform... something to think about.

    • @MichaelSabo
      @MichaelSabo  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a good idea; there's actually a good amount of Banshee guys that do this. If you search Banshee DC conversion, you will see a bunch of results on google.

    • @IconoclastDeath
      @IconoclastDeath 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you could do it without doing the dc conversion with just a battery and a battery tender connected when the banshee is not in use, the bigger the battery the better you could calculate the led power consumption to the battery amps to give you running amp hours, this would leave the stock lighting system with no work load.

    • @MichaelSabo

      Chevy Man whaaaat? That Doesnt make any sense; it should be the opposite; the higher the RPMs, the more output the stator is giving off. Did your factory headlights do the same?

    • @MichaelSabo
      @MichaelSabo  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only thing I can think is that it's something with the regulator? Like I said before, the more RPMs, your stator should be putting out more power, making your lights brighter. When is the last time you inspected/replaced your stator?

    • @chevyman8575
      @chevyman8575 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I’m running the same LED’s on the warrior hi beam, smaller bar for low beam. Made a diode switch so all three work with hi beam, no issues in three years, Lots of squinters when I meet them on the trails lol, In process of doing a set of Halos for them now👍
    Nice clean beastie

    If you wire in a big boy capacitor on the hot side the flicker will go away!

      im about to do this, which capacitor would you recommend? have a link? also what connectors did he use? the link expired

      @@ProteinPounder I think he wired his factory connectors in and if you use around any 30v capacitor it will store enough energy to hold the small amount that discharges for the light
