    I left in early 2016 and moved to Canada. Met my wife there who is from Argentina. Decided to move back in 2023 as Toronto and Canada was becoming so expensive and the winters were brutal. After almost a year here I can say it is not the same country I left. The Europeans who we share cultural bonds and values with have all gone after Brexit and I honestly feel I am living in Mumbai in London.
    Very much starting to regret the decision for several reasons and looking to take a chance on moving to Latin America next year.

      @yamyamTO yeah, I can feel you, I am really considering moving out of the UK and Europe. It's just hopeless at this stage. Sad as when I came in 2010, the country (but also Europe) was booming... Where about in Latin America? Have you thought about it? Paraguay?

      @ Europe is finished buddy. France, Germany, Italy, UK & Ireland… it’s sickening to watch. I was blessed to know my grandfather for 26 years of my life and he fought in a war for this country and the freedom of his fellow European brethren. He would be turning in his grave to see what it’s turning into.
      I would likely move to Argentina with my wife as I could obtain the necessary documents easily enough. It’s a massively underrated country. Very European, especially Buenos Aires. Great people. Amazing weather. Very high standard of living if you can earn in USD or £/€. Every spare minute I have right now I am putting into learning business level Spanish.

    I respect that you are frustrated with the way things are going in your country and sympathise with your aspirations to find somewhere better for you, but I’d like to provide you with a different perspective . As someone that actually grew up in a third world country and moved to Europe a few years ago I can tell you with confidence that the UK and Europe are still comparatively pretty good places to live. They might not be perfect, they might not be as good as they once were but what you have is far more than a lot of people could ever have imagined in their wildest dreams.

    I welcome and respect leaders calling out Trump for who he is. Of course there is an element of practicality to consider. But politics is not the fickle world of business, in which profits are valued over everything, our own integrity included. You might think in the short term that keeping your mouth shut and sucking up to those in power is the mature and experienced thing to do, but in the long term a healthy and stable society depends on people calling out bad behaviour and toxic personality, even when that does not maximise their power and influence.

    • @NonNativeEntrepreneur
      @NonNativeEntrepreneur  16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      there is no integrity in politics, only interests.
      what you talking about is a wish of a world which does not exists. this is why a political leader must behave in a certain way without activism and immaturity.
      I don't make the rules, it is what it is- if we like it or not.
      Do you think we are really going to have inteirty and some sort of equalibrum with our current political elistes?

    • @nathan87
      @nathan87 16 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

       @NonNativeEntrepreneur No, the world is not perfect, but neither is it at all that black and white. Some politicians may display integrity in some ways and corruption in others. Many politicians are forced to suppress their integrity due to the practical needs of the role. Some politicians may be chasing a soundbite, others may be calling it how they see it.
      Despite human foibles and our imperfect world there is a lot of genuine integrity in politics. Many if not most politicians are in it for more than just self-interest. With somebody as divisive as Trump, I do not doubt that many politicians know that calling him out can come from the heart AND gain votes. Particularly in Europe.

    Its funny. I bet if you were living in 1989 you would have stated stuff like "We cant say bad thing about the USSR! they are our top exporter of natural gas, iron, etc...". You need to understand that we are at the mercy of nations who are simply lucky to have more resources underground. And simply importing from the US will only result in enriching our biggest global competitor that dose everything it can to limit our development. As for the fact you have kids born in Britain: Emigrate, you did it, many families in eastern europe did, they are young and will adapt.

      @stefanvederuscalon67132 Hey, thanks. I'd argue that in today's world and rapid tech development, nations don't need to be 100% dependent on countries with more resources. I don’t get your point. First off, painting the entirety of Europe with the same brush is nothing but silly, since there are so many different cultures and therefore political climates which make it impossible to make a massive generalization like you just did.
    Second, most European countries have re-elected since trump came out of office (or went in office), and in a lot cases there are different leaders who might not have said or had anything to do with American politics in the first place.
    Also, critiquing a leader who has had a shady past, has been sued for not letting black families rent from their property, has been accused of multiple cases of sexual assault, almost caused the democracy of America to crumble by not admitting his loss and could’ve led to massive political instability and clearly has a vendetta against “the others”, which in most cases refers to people of color from different countries, is in my books not a wrong thing to do. Letting problematic people be makes everyone culpable of their actions.

    • @NonNativeEntrepreneur
      @NonNativeEntrepreneur  16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @sander3649 my point is it's too late for Europe to catch up with the rest of the world, and the world has, unfortunately for us, moved on quite a bit... we, on the other hand, are stuck with our political Elites like the ones we see in the video, putting their own agenda and activism before the future of the country. Sad reality is that those people are a mirror of where we as a society are.
