The traditional folk song "Peggy Gordon" played on a #cordobaguitars and #irishpennywhistle by James Linden Hogg wearing a discontinued rental tux he bought from eBay (he got a good deal on it 😳). The tune has Canadian origins but has become popular in English and Irish folk circles. First heard the song played by #thedubliners. Fell in love with the simple melody and sought to record my own humble version. The lyrics speak of a rejected lover who wishes to cloister himself away from the pain of his unrequited love. The tune appears on my new album titled "The Expedition." All the songs allude to exploration and journeys. Peggy Gordon was ideal for the theme!
