I’ve spent many hours on Lake Pontchartrain in Louisiana!
Lovely version - dig the rhythm
A Blessed talented Father and Son. Always enjoy your talents. Sincerely and Love Stephen.
Enjoyed this so much...God Bless
So glad this came up to my attention. I'd loved Planxty's rendition for years, so I was curious to hear what you did with it. A beautiful song, delivered sensitively. Lovely.
Still one of my favorites to listen to as I work
Thank you Enjoy your singing God bless Father and son❤❤❤❤❤
Very nice, well done
So lovely James thanks for the beautiful song 🎵 ❤️
Loved hearing you two perform this beautiful song last night at the historic Rodgers Theater in Poplar Bluff where the Hoggs come from! ‘Til next year.
Oh yes!
Thanks!
Lovely. Interesting how the four bar sequence (2nd phrase) that brings the emotional pull to each verse, is very similar harmonically to the segment in "Willy O Winsbury" that does exactly the same! The live TV "Set of Six" Pentangle version from 1972 being the best example, in my opinion.
❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉Thanks
I'm learning this song and it's great to have such a nicely arranged and sung version, with clear guitar back up and lovely banjo fill-in licks. Thanks!
Thanks! I appreciate it!
My favorite balladeers, James Linden Hogg and his daddy Jim! Thank you so much for sharing this, boys!
