- This is Spiritual Studies session #58. This session asks, where did the idea of Hell come from? With this, this session skims through western traditions and etymology to elaborate on the root of such an idea. This is not a fully fleshed out handling of this subject. There is no mention of Hindu, Buddhist ideas of the underworld. This may justify a future session.

Nailed it. So many people have lost sight of the allegorical intent of "hell" due to literalism. The Kabbalists and many others have beautiful explanations of this concept beyond the contemporary notion. Thanks for spreading this knowledge!

Consider getting some gentle music to play in the background, very softly - just to fill in the background. Music is a powerful tool for affecting the state of mind, and by making it barely audible you get the brain to focus more intensely.

Luckily after living my life then being thrown into a awakening and years of going through the dark night of the soul/the worst hell within myself and out, I'm not afraid of Hell or after death, now I'm just obsessed with studying about it and endless occult knowledge.
Just as an FYI, I researched this video while I was in the throes of a horrible sickness. Cold sweats, rapid shifts of body temperature, headaches, and chest and throat overtaken. This session on hell was very cathartic for me lol. Gave this talk as soon as I felt healthy enough to do so.

Years ago, I explored an underground cavern. The shadowy sihloettes of stalagmites in the distance resembled people, and one that had split into two points at the top resembled a devil with horns. It then dawned on me that ancient people with superstitious mindsets, and perhaps breathing hallucinatory geothermal gases, could have been frightened enough to turn such a scene into a hell populated with ghosts and demons.

Would it be possible for you to make a video about more modern occultism, and phenomena like Ektoplasma, clavorianse healing, witchcraft, black/white magic, alchemism etc. And maybe studies done in this fields. Would also like know your personal opinion on this matters.

@@simonhonnens1675 Funny, I was just immersing myself in study yesterday of all of the "mancies" of the past, ex. pyromancy, necromancy, spatulamancy. Yes, I certainly do think these topics each deserve their own focus. I find ektoplasma particularly fascinating which would be a great opportunity to get back into spiritualism, which I haven't touched since the first spiritual studies session.
Can't say how soon, but certainly noted. I have a few tribal traditions I've slated myself to cover next, but after that, I feel an occultism deep dive would be very welcomed.
