  • Deep in our collective history, the moon has played a crucial role in various aspects of human life. Looking across the world, each and every pantheon and animistic tradition holds a focus on the moon, its measure of the season and its ceremonial reverence.
    We’ve often mentioned the moon throughout the course, however in this session we give a full focus and hop across spiritual traditions to derive intriguing realizations on the sacredness of the moon.

    Awesome as usual!
    Now for today's esoteric teaching. The water and lunar symbols both refer to the mind: the waters of Nun is the darkness of mind, wherein all images arises by the focusing of attention. The menstruum of Alchemy is the river of mind, and it is symbolised by Silver, the Moon. In Tibetan Kagyu teachings the mind is a river in which thoughts and forms arise like the floating of debris. In meditation one is directed to neither resist nor fix attention on these forms that arise, instead one must become an passive (no action) observer. This detaches you from fixation, and eventually the river itself flows away and you are left in the Nun, which is also the Sangha. The Sangha is the connection you have when you experience the Divine Mind and become aware of the other Dreamers who share that state with your own Dreamer. Luminous mind teachings on the other hand take the route of air, and the Sangha is joined by becoming aware of the space of the Nun - described as being as spacious as the clearest sky.
    This is the Mercury of the Philosophers, when the Light of your Dreamer (Sulphur) falls upon the Living Silver (Mercury) you create the entirety of the universe that you observe in that instant (Salt). This is the Mirror of Matter that Plotinus also described as being a liquid mirror (th-cam.com/video/XIykeeyyQ0Y/w-d-xo.html). The Moon is also a mirror, and it reflects the divine Light of the Sun, the consciousness of God itself. This is why the Moon is the symbol of mind, for our mind's are but moons to the Light of the Logos, the inner sun.
    PS. I come from the Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, but equally as much from the tradition of Alchemy and Shamanism. After some 18 years it became obvious that there is only one tradition worldwide - the doctrine of the soul. All religion is to help guide the soul, but first the Dreamer must become aware that it is dreaming a life for itself...

I can imagine. But I do so appreciate this selfless act of sharing yourself like this. I search high and low for wisdom and teachers on here. You are a gem my friend. I know I keep saying thanks. But your like a reincarnated Manly P Hall. Just gifted as a teacher! You can't go wrong with this guy. Check me out on that. Blessings

    The police in Kansas City would say people definitely act crazier during full moons...
    It seems like silver would be associated with the moon and gold with the sun. It probably is. 💕🌻

    This is beautiful bro.... I have a thought... I wonder when the baby is in the womb in “the waters” before the child is too big to take up full capacity.... if it’s perception is almost like being in a vast ocean , like the scuba divers... mainly because it’s all that it’s been exposed too...

    Interesting! I kept wondering why in Latvian the moon is male and the sun is female genders, while in English it is the other way around.

    Horus the elder, Thoth, and Kansu. one was a hawlk, ibis, and yes a younger man. were did you get a bull from that? when dealing with bulls your thinking of Apis and Ptah who had a form of a bull.

    • @jenathent4840
      @jenathent4840 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, the earliest moon demon/god was nanna. He was a male deity and was a bull sometimes. khonsu turns into a sacred mighty bull every full moon, Thoth was called the bull among the stars.
