Elisha, I'm so glad you enjoyed Angelina. Yes, she's very genuine and her connection to people is something that cannot be manufactured, it has to be real. She finds the love in the message of every song and she has a good habit of rearranging classics songs from yesteryear to put emphasis on that love. Although the lyrics might suggest she couldn't possibly "feel" a particular moment in a song she interprets the love in the moment and in that way her soulful voice convinces you her feelings are very genuine, indeed.
Elisha, your "cuts" in the video were a little off and we never saw her singing the song. Check it out and do the necessary editing before sending your video's out.
I look forward to more Angelina reactions from you!

Angelina has a way of making the listener feel the song. she's had that talent since she was very young. you can listen to a song by an original artist and than listen to it again sung by Angelina, it's like she doesn't cover a song she uncovers it. you understand the meaning more, its the talent she was born with

Yes, she did it again! Great comments. Angelina sang this outside at her recent concerts in Norway. Here she performed it twice back-to-back (some technical/recording glitch on the first take - and they asked her to do it again). This is the second. th-cam.com/video/bELcgA4S7mM/w-d-xo.html
Then on July 10, she sang a 15-song set, then 2 encore songs, then "I Have Nothing" to close the evening! How many singers are confident enough to save Whitney (this song) until the end of a concert?!

Angelina during her concerts in Norway dedicated this song to her grandmother Mery, who has had health issues and didn't make the trip to Norway. Mery Zamani is Angelina's best friend and mentor and was a prodigy herself, for art and poetry, while growing up in Iran. That dedication makes this song highly personal and emotional for both Angelina and her angels (fans).

The Cinemaphotography, a total MASTERPIECE, Excellent ART Cole McCarthy and Chip McCarthy. Angelina at 16 is the MASTER of her universe, she is top priority for both Stargate, and Republic Records. AJ's voice has been unique since she was 7 years old and now at 16, she controls us as an audience, leaving us hang on every word and phrase. AJ adopts the performance to pay homage to the original hit but then makes it her own and so much better than the original. There are no ends to the unique signature voice of Angelina Jordan, and her ability to feed our need for the finest STORYTELLING ARTIST that has ever lived in this period of time. At 75 I thought I had experienced the greatest, but nothing compares to AJ.
The backing that Angelina Jordan has is astonishing, the crew behind her is state of the art, and are some of the bests in the industry. They know what they have in this powerhouse talent, Angelina Jordan and are giving her all the resources, she needs to go ethereal.

This performance is beyond belief, the cinemaphotography, the ART, and this time we get to savor over 4 minutes of total bliss, no one is capable of doing this song justice like Angelina Jordan. David Foster and Linda Thompson, who co-wrote this ballad for Whitney Houston would be blown away by this performance.

Nice to have you back! One thing that's admirable about Angelina is that there are seemingly no boundaries when it comes to her singing. And by boundaries I mean technical limitations on one hand and on the other hand the expectations of the audience. She's certainly aware that she hasn't got the tone and upper range of Whitney, so she simply transposed the song 3 semitones down, which, as a result, made it sound different and 'heavier' as you describe it than Whitney's original, but Angelina simply doesn't care, Whitney is Whitney and Angelina is Angelina, she does it her own way. Many people say her realm or forte is jazz, but again, there are seemingly no limitations for her, she just sings any song she likes. She probably looks at the lyrics first and then she'll make the cover work somehow. Her most viewed cover ever, 'Bohemian Rhapsody' by Queen, worked out so well, because she didn't try to copy the original; she knew she had to do something on stage that beared her own trademark. Therefore she transformed the song into something completely new, she even dared to change the genre of the song. Generally speaking I don't think she's afraid of criticism, she probably just doesn't care, and maybe that's a healthy attitude. You can see tons of rehearsals and concert footage of Angelina in bad quality, e.g. when Angelina had a bad day, when she made mistakes or when her band made mistakes, but isn't it the gutsiest move ever that she uploads all that stuff nonetheless? Maybe it's just me, but I think that's very impressive.

I agree with everything you write. For me, Angelina is the most transparently honest person I have ever come across. In performances, if she makes a mistake she can automatically recognise she has done so, but does not let it faze her and continues with her performance. If any person reading this doubts her honesty and openness, take yourself over to the TH-cam channel of Mery Zamani, her maternal grandmother, where you can watch and listen to Angelina is many quite intimate videos. Thnx for your thoughts on Angelina's rendition of this song... You pretty much focused on her.. and touched on a key talent she possess: how she emotes/relates to a song in order to produce emotions required of the lyrics .. while on tour this summer, she took time to acknowledge her Grandma and gave a most touching dedication to her prior to singing it... Grandma is the one who recognized she had a prodigy for a granddaughter.. and responsible for nurturing it; Angelina readily gives her the credit for her growth musically... And for me, this is what makes this version better than the original; she's singing from the heart, and her voice is more than capable of accepting the challenge!! Your method of presenting reactions is very different, but strait forward; works even if we didn't see it 🤔😕. And.... YAY!!!!!.... No flavor/brand to announce/promote before you got into it😉😂. Angelina's full rich tones and the emotion she puts into a song make her very special. She has recently done a few songs that highlight her new found high notes and falsettos. Her vocal range has grown exponentially this past year or so. I am asking that you analyze her performance of "FEELING GOOD" at 10 years old on stage with a fantastic orchestra and televised live in Norway. It is Angelina's arrangement and my favorite rendition of this song:

You might note that this recording is a couple of keys lower than what she sang in Norway. I think that was a great choice because it put the song right into the sweet spot of her voice. But then again, what do I know... I just write curriculum.

Great breakdown again, I always get a better perspective and learn a thing or two. I don't know if you've heard Diana Ankudinova a young contralto from Russia. She's been singing since 6 as well. She has natural polyphonics and is in a league of her own. Her version of Elvis's Can't Help Falling in Love is a tremendous remake in a minor key with phenomenal belting d3 with little effort and maximum impact. All her stuff has to be written to accommodate that voice.

WOW! Elisha! So incredibly nice to see you again. I really mean that 🙂 I still vividly remember your reactions to her way back when, must be like a year ago or something like that, I just LOVED your reactions 🙂 And this one was no different. Amazing reaction. And the "You" she is singing this to, is her grandmother, Mery Zamani. She's been sick for some time (cancer), also too sick to follow Angelina to Norway on July this year. And all who know about Angelina's bond with her grandmother know that it takes something special to keep them apart. When you listen to the song through THAT lens, it becomes very evident. Now, I think I recall that you usually listened to her with earpods, while this time around you seem to listen to the internal sound from the laptop ? That is more or less like swearing in the church, you know ?? 🤣😂 I ofc know that you have a very trained ear, but I still think that a good headset or pair of earpods give you that extra dimension. Just my 2 cents 🙂 I hope to see you back with Angelina very soon! Love from Norway♥♥♥

Very insightful reaction, thank you I enjoyed it a lot and can't wait to hear more :)
I checked and you don't seem to have reacted to one of Angelina's masterpieces from the past, her cover of "I put a spell on you" where she made an arrangement from the original by Screaming Jay Hawkins at 9yo. She sings it live in studio with an awesome jazz band. I know some reactors, specially vocal coaches don't always like to react to kid singers but I hope you give this one a chance it's a once in a lifetime performance, she never sang it again in this exact same style.
    th-cam.com/video/nwFloCPXzCs/w-d-xo.html
Otherwise There are 2 different "artists" I could recommend if you haven't checked them out already :
-The accappela band named Pentatonix like the pentatonique scale because there's 5 of them . Any of their videos will be awesome but personally I think their cover of Hallelujah is one of the bast to introduce them to a new viewer.
    th-cam.com/video/LRP8d7hhpoQ/w-d-xo.html
-The Singer Lara Fabian who is one of the greatest vocalists and storytellers of all time, as good as Angelina in a very different style. She's Belgian/canadien and sings and composes in many different languages including French, English and Spanish. She has been around a while and has many many songs either covers or originals but the one that I think is one of the best to show new reactors is her cover of "Je suis malade" (I'm sick in French) live in concert. There are English subtitles so you get to understand what it's about even though you can just feel it from the way she sings.

Amazing reaction my friend Elisha!!....In 2017, the music world was shocked by the bursting onto the scene of a 22-year-old singer named Dimash Kudaibergen, who performed on the famous Chinese competition show for professional singers called “The Singer”... It was just It was necessary for this young man to make his first appearance, making a cover of one of the most difficult songs in the world, a famous French composition called "S.O.S. D'un Terrien En Détresse", to be considered from that moment on as the best singer in the entire planet....No one in the musical field had ever seen a human being, being able to reach vocal ranges above 7 octaves and several semitones, that is, all 88 keys of a digital piano, which reaches a little more than 7 octaves and as if that weren't enough, sing the more than 12 languages...Since then all kinds of experts (Vocal coach, analysts, singing teachers, youtubers, reactors, etc.) have dedicated themselves to reviewing their presentations to try to understand how someone can sing this way...The incredible thing is that that presentation in China was in 2017 and 5 years have passed since then, but what Dimash has done in these 5 years is to further improve his wide vocal range, which is currently practically above of the 8 octaves... The Covid pandemic stopped his concerts worldwide, all with tickets sold in just seconds, via the internet, but at the same time it ended up catapulting him to the top of popularity worldwide...Anyway, since I think you are one of those reactors who have not yet met this impressive singer, here is the link of that presentation in China in 2017, with the song S.O.S. and I would like you to mention my name as the person who recommended him to you..It is a more recent video than the others, so it does not have the same number of views as the previous ones, which have millions of views, but it is a more complete video, with an intro, subtitles in several languages and with the improved quality of audio and sound....th-cam.com/video/bDX3FhmyNac/w-d-xo.html

I mean hearing him hit a D8, while otherworldly (and dolphin-like), is simply not pleasing to the ear.
His vocal pyrotechnics, in my opinion, can often undermine the overall musicality of a song. This is why I can only listen to him in fits and starts. I can listen to Angelina 24/7.
