Stan is Dipper and Mabel’s grandfather’s brother. Basically their dad’s uncle. However, someone figured out that with the timeline presented and the ages for the characters, Dipper and Mabel’s parents would have to be like fourteen when they were born. Obviously, this was not okay. So Alex explained that he had never really done the math on it and apologized. He has kind of said now that since Dipper and Mabel’s grandparent isn’t a part of the show, that it’s someone else who is never shown. Yes, Stan is still their Grunkle. We just never see the brother who is their grandfather.
@@xohunter7568 Yeah. This was before Alex did the math. Since then Alex has said that “Shermy” who is Dipper and Mabel’s grandfather, isn’t necessarily the baby shown.
@@allycat0136 Yeah, personally, the way I would fix this is to have the grandfather be much older than Grunkle Stan and the baby from that scene actually being Dipper and Mabel’s father.
In this episode, Disney's warped priorities are on full display: horribly rotting corpses that try to eat the living are _A-OK!_ But they better all be wearing fully intact pants! Seeing a screaming person be dragged off into the darkness by the ravening undead could scar poor innocent children for life… if the zombies weren't _decent!_
11:17 if you look at his shirt it's the puma shirt and panther shirt that he tried to buy and the manliness episode he bought both and sewed them both together.
I think they did get a higher budget for the animation on this season. This is especially apparent in the backgrounds, they look gorgeous in this season
Also notice how in the first episode of season 1, Dipper thought Mabel was dating a zombie. Now in the first episode of season 2, they deal with actual zombies!
Ah yes, this episode started the quite popular “Soos is a Jesus allegory” that swept through the fandom. Yes, this was a real theory. It was wild being a Gravity Falls fan as it came out live. We thought of some really wild theories. Some went somewhere. Most didn’t.
Late to this, but I want to point out that Stan used the same copy machine to duplicate the journal that Dipper used to clone himself. As such, it's not unreasonable to assume the copier also copied the invisible ink.
I mean Stan and pretty much everyone else has five fingers. Dipper and Mabel have four fingers. And pretty much all the kid sized people have four fingers
This episode is one of my favourites of season 2! I love how zombie Soos acts exactly like regular Soos with the added addition of wanting to eat brains lol
I honestly didn’t realize the genius of the first episode of season 1 having Dipper thinking gnomes disguising themselves as Norman was a zombie and for the second season have him raised an literal army of zombies in the climax of the first episode of season 2
0:57 no plot progression on episode 1, only later on the season? For once you were hilariously wrong! XD Another great reaction, cant' wait to see you react to more, there are even more awesome episodes this season!

Lol I guess a show this detailed is bound to have a couple mistakes. Thanks for the explanation!
I thought dipper and Mable were Stan’s sisters grandkids?
We actually do see Dipper and Mabel's grandfather for a split second in a later episode. but he's only a baby

Lmao I guess he did come back from the dead.
Lol, if you name a character Jesus your basically asking for it tbf

Season 2 is going to get crazy. The zombie apocalypse was insane, especially Soos. I love the Pines family singing together

It may just be a coincidence, but is "Pines vs. Zombies" a reference to "Plants vs. Zombies"?
You got it 😉
@@SputnikSpyglass AYYYE!
The ops are coming from inside the house!
"Scary-Oke": A post-Gideon celebration, fun with The Feds, and "singing badly together."
They really started season two with the bang. Also just have to say I love the bluish purple hair. It’s so gorgeous on you girl.

Season 1 is fantastic but Season 2 is just built different.
