Disney didn't allow a lesbian couple in The Love God but they allowed a scene that's basically a drug bust. It's crazy what slipped past the censors and what didn't.
Mabel finding out that the "Pure of Heart" line was a scam made this episode funnier. Grunkle Stan would've been happy to find out that the Unicorns are con-artists by nature
in the book of bill, bill and ford's relationship goes way deeper and is given alot of context especially to how bill treats ford in the show. that's all i can say 🤓
I believe there was supposed to be an actual fight scene between the girls and the unicorns but they had to cut it and say "this is unicorn tears" to hide that Mabel made the unicorn bleed with her punch, implying that they're covered in unicorn blood 🤣🤣
8:48 small town dynamics means it's less "babysitting" and more "chilling with these kids she's known since they were born (and their new summer ringleader)" - and being the one who sends someone for a grownup if it gets too wild. between 10-14 everyone just chills and occasionally splits off into their age groups, from my experience growing up in a similarly secluded (woods and mountains and everything) environment. just realized this show actually does that part of the experience super accurately
I always laugh at Grunkle Stan grabbing the gold and shouting “MONEY!” However, the context does make it less funny when you remember Ford plans to make him homeless at the end of the summer.
Hope everyone realizes that the bunker only had 1 bed….. which means Ford (with Bill in his mind) and Fiddleford shared a bed with the their little “adopted”/“found” shapeshifter son. It’s like the show 3 men and a baby but weirder and more chaotic. (Also, no wonder the poor shapeshifter had an identity crisis and became evil, look at who raised him! Too many issues and disorders to count!)
