- This video demonstrates the complex procedure for spot painting a single panel on a 2025 Chevrolet Trax in paint code WA8624 (Olympic White). This includes the preparation, sandpaper grits to use, priming, painting, as well as the disassembly and reassembly. Obviously, much detail is left out due to time, although much of the basics are displayed to show the generic process for refinishing an automotive panel with a factory paint flaw. Enjoy! And a thanks to my special guest BM for the continuous body work expertise that allows me to film these videos.

Great work! Question.. which respirator are you using? I have the battery powered 3m I’ve been looking at one that runs off of air
Battery powered ones are dope! Especially when you need to spray elsewhere other than work. I use the 3M versaflo since my shop has breathable air throughout and it works perfectly!
Which paint line do you use?
PPG’s Envirobase
You familiar?
@JaySprayz Fancy. We used to apply the Omni Plus line. But moved to the ATX system by sherwin williams. Unfortunately, we would need a complete overhaul to go waterborne. Currently too much for a small shop.
Ah cool. I sprayed Debeer water like years ago before Sherwin bought Valspar. Then sprayed Sherwin up until PPG. It wasn't bad at all. And smaller shops have a special vibe that I always miss!
