    I rented my condo to three well-educated Indian tenants-a brother, his sister, and her boyfriend (as they claimed). However, it turned out they had lied about their relationship. Later, two additional people, another girl and a guy, also started living in the condo without my permission. This experience has been extremely disappointing, and it’s made me cautious about trusting people in the future.”

    I’m from India, but I would say people from North Indian states especially from Punjab and Gujarat, please behave decently when you are in public. Your songs and dances may not entertain everyone and maybe weird. When you guys come to one country, try to respect their culture and to integrate with them. This country gives you the opportunity to come here. So don’t make them regret for the generosity they give you. I know there are many Indians who lives a high standard life. Please don’t create bad name for others.

      Exactly.
      Last week some South Indians were dancing on one of the downtown squares, blocking the roads from all 4 sides. The comments were horrible but justified. Imagine going to home after a long tough day and seeing your regular route blocked by some people who want to desperately brag their culture that no one is interested in. (White sarees, dhoti kurta, tilak is definitely amazing but not everyone would like that here)
      Punjabis and Southies are obsessed with their cultures. And Gujjus busy in switching between USA and Canada with 🫏 visa.
      Whole India is getting judged because of some immigrants.

    While in a temple during preeti bhojan time there was this loud north indian family shamelessly cutting into the line as they would in India. First the elder man (in his60s-70s?) came in, and I kept silent because he looked like a senior but he started calling his whole family 7-10 people who shamelessly cut in and there was a line up behind me. I called him out and asked him why are you doing this even after coming to canada and spoiling the reputation of india. He shamelessly said sab apne desi hi toh hai? I said it doesnt matter and asked him and his family to lineup. Such people need to be called out by our own community.

    You hear punjabi boys talking in a mall or outside. In one sentence they will use cuss words in punjabi. I used to go to a downtown hospital. I saw my coworker an international student from India use the water dispenser machine to wash his hands and face and then use his hands to take a sip of water and then gargle and spit it out. One day at work when we had a Diwali party most of my coworkers international students from India left disposable plates on the floor they didn't walk over to the garbage can to throw away the disposable plates. The Supervisor wasn't very happy and ask them "Does anyone know what a garbage can looks like"?!?!? Another time when I was looking for an empty locker to put my backpack in I saw empty food containers and some containers with food in it. It was so disgusting to see fruit flies in the lockers.

    We need to get back to the previous immigration system where prospective immigrants were awarded points for conditions outlined by the system which allowed them to proceed to the next step of the process.
    This not only gave newcomers a chance, but also gave an idea on how compatible they would be with the existing culture on an individual level.
    Cause fare evading, stealing from food banks - like this is poverty-class behavior. These people and their values would’ve never made it past the point system.
    The Indians who emigrated to Canada prior to the policy change did not display this kind of behavior. They spoke English, and built their communities within the confines of the law because they were already educated before coming.

  • @Shef-rz1dh
    @Shef-rz1dh หลายเดือนก่อน +12

    I like your improved content quality ! Keep educating. Most annoying and common issue is loudness and disrespect for people around them. One other main learning for Indian men should be to learn to respect women, they should not feel harassed or unsafe around men.

  • @equaniman647
    @equaniman647 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    I don't think I am racist or biased towards my own culture and community if I say that I don't like how some of us behave here, it's not just limited to us there are bad apples as you said in every culture, country and community. A lot of the points you brought up are true especially breaking queues and speaking loudly in our own languages(which is fine, everyone can be proud of their culture and language but we are not in India, we are trying to assimilate and integrate into another country's culture). In public presence, especially when in groups, this is something I have noticed very often. Even as an Indian I feel uncomfortable being around such behaviour. Throwing garbage, removing some detector batteries and food bank exploitation, jaywalking are other examples that I have witnessed personally. The biggest thing would be fare evasion, I have seen people not only do that very often, but they are actually proud of cheating the system, exploiting and stealing while I don't believe it's everyone but some of these people have reasonable incomes and they are stingy about paying 3-4 dollars, there is pretty high hypocrisy.
    And lastly guys, if someone, no matter their race, community, or any other reason does something wrong, don't follow them, don't justify bad actions by following wrong examples, leave bad habits behind, be considerate and empathetic, try to be better, try to be good to yourself, others, respect other cultures and have a strong moral compass. You will receive the same.

    I think this is a great video. Someone must highlight these issues, and who is better than someone from the same culture? Also, leave your attitude from back home behind when you get here. I understand that many people face discrimination based on caste, wealth, where they live, etc. There are many divisions in those systems. However, in Canadian culture, even people who collect your garbage are respected. Everyone is treated equally. So, if your father or grandfather is a doctor, or if you come from a so-called respectable family, forget about that. Just work hard. Follow the rules and be a part of this society.

      Pakistanies are well respected in Canada. Pakistani neighborhoods are cleana nd safe, not like brampton and surrey.

    This guy and guys like this are the problem. You are making all these videos but are you back in India? Last time you said, you work in a gas station. Canada does not need gas station attendants, why are you here?

      @@etcetc3800 Because his "skills" or lack thereof are no longer needed in Canada. If he is advising people, especially Indians in Canada, he needs to lead by example. Either be useful by doing In-demand/high skill jobs or go home instead of making YT videos 'advising' people on what they should do.

      I think he already left that job. He is from healthcare background & already belongs to in-demand/high skill category. He also mentioned somewhere in his previous videos that he’s interested to buy his own gas station business, after gaining some experience, that’s why he did that job.

      @@Tanya-gf3gz Just because someone has an MBBS or BAMS degree doesn’t automatically make them eligible for the healthcare sector. To qualify for those TEER codes, one needs experience and often certification from Canadian licensing bodies. Additionally, property prices in Canada are exorbitant, and many people can’t afford homes, let alone businesses. Be cautious and don't fall for these show-off TH-camrs. I’ve been in Canada since 2022, earning a six-figure salary, and I wouldn’t have the audacity to make such claims in a video without having Canada as my permanent home. I can’t help but laugh imagining gas station attendants without PR making advice videos like this.

      @@Tanya-gf3gz I'm not criticizing his side hustle, but it's important to make videos about topics you are knowledgeable about or an expert in. Otherwise, there are plenty of other video topics, like lifestyle vlogs, that he can explore and continue making money as I know he has a vlog channel.
