      How can you possibly think that a video over TH-cam, recorded on a phone, can accurately represent how this rooms sounds??
      Don’t worry SVS it sounds freakin incredible! Your speakers rock and my neighbors think so as well😁

      Youthman,
      is this not the most perfected home theater yet?
      (barring the missing projector & 110" screen ofcourse)
      Vader got it right!
      Finally a consumer using 3 matching towers as L-C-R fronts
      instead of the standard center speaker compromise.
      Vader...light saber'd the competition!

      Mykal Fury Thank you Mykal. Yes Vader has put together a first class home theater. I concur that there is no better sound for HT than using LCR up front. When I moved to 3 Klipsch LaScalas up front, it took my dedicated home theater to a completely new level.

    As a veteran Recording Artist and Home Theater Fan
    I can say this with confidence,
    "Using 3 of the Ultra Towers across the front L-C-R positions
    is 100% accurate and perfection!
    Dat's da' way Ya' do it..Money for nothin' & chicks for Free!"
    As you already know, a 4K 3D projector + 110" screen is a must
    have to match your IMAX sound.
    I am totally impressed Vader.
    KUDOS!
    Now, get that BIG SCREEN goin' abd you will have the Best
    Home Theater period!
    Great Job Vader...and keep the light sabers on stun as it's never a
    good idea to vaporize the company.

      Sarfraz Ally
      Thanks! There are plenty of things I can improve on. A projector is not out of the question. I haven’t upgraded to 4K yet and I can fit up to an 85 inch tv in the space before the center tower blocks it. A projector would be great, the front of the room wasn’t designed for it but it is possible. Nothing is going to happen this year tho. Most of the time I find myself listening to the movies more than I watch them, if that makes any sense

I would love to see more details on your system, how are you distributing the power of those 7.4.6 with 4 Amps , are you bi-amping the left & right with the 7025 and if your thoughts on SVS Tower vs SVS Ultra Centre as center channel?

      @vader3254  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Marantz 8077 is a 7 channel amp the 3 7022 amps are 2 channel which takes care of the 6 ceiling speakers.the SVS Speakers are fantastic if you can use a tower for the center I highly recommend it. That's what I wanted to do with my front stage. 3 SVS Ultra towers, but I don't have the space . Why did you choose the bookshelves instead of the surrounds? Don't care for the wider dispersion of sound from the ultra surrounds in that room?

    • @vader3254
      @vader3254  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      acelakid94
      The bookshelves are a better way to go when you have an Atmos setup and they match the towers (sound wise) better than the ultra surrounds. I did have bipole speakers for my surrounds before I went to all SVS and the bookshelves sound so much better in the Atmos setup. Pinpoint accuracy

    • @acelakid94
      @acelakid94 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've heard of Paradigm - they're great speakers. I'm very glad I went with SVS and I highly recommend them. If you have the ability to find a place to listen and compare that's what I would recommend. The SVS are very neutral, natural sounding speakers.

      I know of a dealer that carries their sub woofers, and this is how i learnt of the brand. Then I started to look into the company, and discovered their Ultra series speakers! Been peeking at them since! I'll have to ask them if they could get a pair in, for me to audition. Yeah, that's what I'm looking for; a speaker that is neutral, without color added. Left toe in, right toe in and up toe in below the screen or down toe for placement above the screen. Very nice setup. Im curious to how the atmos speakers sound where they are at in the video? Are they more immersive since its more towards and above the listening area? My elevations are at the front of the room above my tv where the wall and ceiling meets. Pretty much where most Ive seen put theirs. My rear elevations are at the back wall and where the ceiling meets as well. Also curious on what made you decide to use the ultra tower as a center than going for the ultra center? And why no ultra surrounds? Im running a similar setup with the ultra surrounds, with elevations for atmos and elacs uni-fi lineup for the front stage. Feedback is greatly appreciated.

    • @vader3254
      @vader3254  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tony Bui
      I placed the Atmos speakers basically where Dolby recommends them. Having them above the listening area gives a more convincing experience.
      I chose the ultra tower for a center because it’s correct to have all three of your front speakers matching for a seamless front soundstage. Not everyone has the space for it and that’s why most setups will have the horizontal center channel.
      I used the ultra bookshelves for my surrounds because having a direct front firing speaker vs a more diffused speaker(ultra surrounds) is also the recommended choice for an atmos setup. The more localized sound they give really helps give a nice separation in the back and they match the ultra towers more closely than the ultra surrounds

    • @Loco_2002
      @Loco_2002 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very interesting. I assume going with the bipole speakers (ultra surrounds) would create a wider sound space for the surrounds, hence the design, but when you put it that way, it does make sense. Now in regarding to that, would you say the bipole design isn’t optimal or is the ultra bookshelf just giving a better experience for your setup?

    • @vader3254
      @vader3254  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tony Bui
      I had bipole speakers for all 4 of my surrounds before I went with the ultra bookshelves and they were great. After hearing both types in my room the bookshelves give that separation with great dynamics that I really love. I also have the ability to tilt them up and down and left or right with the mounts. I have the tweeters pointing directly at my head at the center seat. So I would say with an atmos setup the bookshelves are the way to go in my opinion but every room is different and sound is very subjective

    • @Loco_2002
      @Loco_2002 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Know that you say that,maybe Ill give the bookshelf’s another try. Been awhile since I messed with my rears, but your insight has sparked my curiosity.
      But I do have one last question( I could talk about this all day): Did you ever use a AVR with your setup? I see now your running a preamp with the Marantz. If so, which model did you have but more importantly, is the preamp doing that much more to the sound that a AVR just isn’t? I own a Denon x4500 while running two separate 7 channel amps( Outlaw 7000x and the Monolith 7x200 amp) and have been contemplating to is the need for a preamp necessary? Is it a night and day comparison? Im not sure if you agree to this, but with this hobby, I believe everything is subjective. I guess if somebody was to tell me if it does sound better and when I hear there isn’t much of a difference, I just don’t think I need it. Especially since Im running my Denon now as a true separate preamp. I appreciate the feedback and value the opinion.

    • @vader3254
      @vader3254  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tony Bui
      You have some nice equipment! The denon is an excellent AVR. It is not a necessity to have a separate preamp. If you are thinking of upgrading your AVR one day then I would consider one since you already have the 2 large amps. I have had many AVRs before I went to all separates my last one was the Yamaha RX-Z9. It was an amazing AVR at the time but it really isn’t a fair comparison to what I’m using now. When your ready to upgrade I would recommend you looking into a preamp. I don’t think you will be disappointed they can produce a very refined sound for both music and movies that is difficult to get with an AVR alone (in my opinion). I hope that helps!

    If you’re sporting 11.4 your front Heights should be more towards the center of the ceiling over the front of the seats or where the seats start. The rear heights should be right above the rear surround. That’s the proper Atmos configuration. I’d also recommend having your surrounds lower or ear level with seats that does not block the back of your head unless they recline. Other than that sweet set up I’m sure there is a projector screen somewhere in there with sound transparency or at least I hope.

      Yes I have heard Klipsch speakers and they are great! I chose SVS because they are very neutral and natural sounding. The sound is not colored. They compete with speakers 3 to 4x the cost and in some cases are better. The design and the piano black finish are beautiful. SVS customer service is THE best in the industry. I HIGHLY recommend them!!! Sound is very subjective so if you can, find a place to listen to them and compare.

      Thank you!! Having the front speakers all the same gives the best results. The front sound stage is considerably more even as the sound pans back and forth. Not everyone can fit a tower as a center channel though. As far as a projector I’m not sure what I want to do yet. I can fit up to a 85” flat screen before the center tower gets in the way. I haven’t made the jump to 4k yet so it’s def something I will consider.

If I had the space I rather have 3 floor-standing speakers with a TV, than a projector. A projector requires more work to setup (unless you paint your walls), and the local resale value is lower since most folks don't have the space or tools for it.
