    What is the box the centre speaker is sitting on, does it have any other purpose? Wondering why you couldn't have put a rack there instead, to get the equipment off your subs? I'd have thought 5.2.4 would have been as good as 7.2.4 in a room that size too, as the surrounds/rears are so close together some money could have been spent elsewhere, but anyway - it all looks/sounds great. very well put together. I'm just working on a room with fairly similar dimensions - 5.5m long by 2.3m wide, so just a bit narrow, but will make it work!

    I have mix of Elac Debut and Uni but I like how Klipsch sounds. They seem to handle volume output very well. W/ Elacs I'm always wondering if I'm powering them well. I love the sound but hey.. there's a reason why Klipsch is so prominent.

  • @marekrosiak
    @marekrosiak 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is a very nice setup, especially that it's in such a small space. I have few questions:
    1) your projector seems to be a little bit off the whole setup - you have 2 subs $2k each, an amplifier $3k and such a budget PJ. Are you planning to replace it with something that is at the similar level as your sound system?
    2) In my new house I am building my HT room which is 4.6 (L) x 3 (W) x 2.8 (H) m and I was wondering what kind of sound system would be optimal for such space. I was thinking about Klipsch RP6000F, Klipsch Central RP-404C, 2 surrounds RP-402S and some ceiling speakers for 5.2.4 system. I thought of buying 2 subwoofers and was wondering if two 10” Klipsch subs would be enough and if 12” subs might be too much for such a small room. Now I can see you have 2 monster subs in a smaller room... Could you explain why you chose these 2 big subs ? And did you compare 1 vs 2 subs, and if so, what are your impressions? And last question - did you try to position the subwoofers differently?
    3) Did you test the system before vs after acoustic treatment? If so - what are your thoughts on this topic?
    Again - beautiful HT room :-)

      Differences between surround amplifier and surround processor are: Surround amplifier contains preamplifier and power amplifier in one unit. Surround processor contains only preamplifier and then you need a power amplifier that will power the speakers as well.

    I would love to know how you did you DIY acoustic panels. I am in the process adding acoustic panels. My Klipsch subs are shaking my house apart. Plus I would like to see if the overall quality from my system gets better. I love your setup you have. One day when some of my 6 kids move out I will be able to afford my real dream setup. But I am happy with my klipsch reference setup for now. Anyway enough about me. I would really like to know what materials you used for you panels?

    • @TheRealCaveman1990
      @TheRealCaveman1990  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello! Thank you very much! :) I first cut a wooden board and then I made a frame for it. Then I glued 30x30cm pieces of Vicoustic's MD55 panels inside the frame. These panels are a combination of absorptions and diffusions. To these acoustic panels I have made a frame that I have drawn in speaker material. These frames are attached with magnets. You can see I have these frames on in one of my other videos. I had two Klipsch R-115SW Subwoofers before my SVS and these played very deep!

      Thanks! I want to check out that youtube channel! 👍 You are absolutely right in what you say about my acoustics panels with faom. They are not so functional, but they removed a lot of flutter echoes in my room. 👍 I am quite new when it comes to acoustics and measurements, but I've been thinking about buying some GIK Acoustics Evolution PolyFusor. I want to place these behind and on the side walls around the listening position.

      @@TheRealCaveman1990 Glad to hear that. Acoustic fields have plans to buy to make their carbon absr. but they are expensive. Their diffusers are really good and they can be made from plywood very cheaply. I have build plans if you want them. I would recommend watching few videos on their channels tho to learn bit more to see how acoustics should work. Many companies lie about their products. Good luck

    Using acoustic panels not only helps improve the sound they're actually decorative too. Or can be. Could use more panels that needed just for a look.
