HI Paul; just watched your last video visiting Beamish; Have a unusual story for you and would need advise as not a mechanic. Bought a 2008 XKR from a dealer in 2008 with 900k on clock ( used by manager hence the 900k ) Was driven to a photo shoot then i drove it back to my workshop and believe it or not it has sat there till present day (16 years ) without even a run ! So getting excited to get it running, but need to get old fuel out and believe same as yours with saddle type fuel tank and according to manual purchased on line you have to cut the two plastic lugs and fit a special tool which not that keen to do. Battery will need to be tested but been on a c-tek charger for 16 years and still reading over 12 volts.(12.5 from memory ) In landrover /JAG where i bought it and guy who sold it to me still there so he and all the team want to see it. Apart from a one of a kind in New Zealand where i am they reckon could be a world !st. apart from a mega rich oil sheik maybe but even then reckon would be in poor condition due to condensation . Been meaning to touch base with you as find your videos for a non mechanic very helpful as want to do most of work on jag myself. Not that good on computer so bear with me. I am 75 so tapping on a bit born in Fulham so dont hold that against me being a southener . My e-mail pozitrack@yahoo.co.nz
@@life_on_cars mi casa es su casa bro!! I put up a few vids of my XK’s on this account to check out a while ago. It’s a shame Spires stopped making exhausts my XKR sounds mental compared to the “quiet” stock XKR-S.
@stephenhyland Im trying to understand what you've just said in your comment. A 2008 car that you've had for 16 years until now and not done any mileage so where does the 900k come in if its never been on the road. This is going right over my head, does anyone else think the same?
Interest variety of ownership histories. Especially those who have recently got their first Jaguar after wanting one since a teenager, just like myself 3 years ownership of MY18 V6 F Type. Personally I would have kept the original cream interior on the XJL. But each to their own.
Very Nice! I need to start a Jaguar Meet up in the Washington DC Area.. USA You represented the XK well :)

What a thoroughly nice bunch of blokes ... obviously.
Interesting back stories to their Jag ownership too
Liking the interior of the XJL, but the best looking car there was definitely the XK 👍
I’d be there if I could drive across the pond hehe
I need to visit you 😉🇺🇲

I had a 5litre XKR for eight years drove it all over Europe , only thing failed was a leaking water pump which was picked up in a service
Il have to find out more about the meets and shows so I can meet up
Hopefully see you there 👍🏻

If you track down the crystal cube jag please let me know were to get one.
Where to get those Union Jack pillows for my XKR and XKR-S?!
I think Mrs LOC got me them off Amazon 😊
